Surprised NOBODY has mentioned the SHOCKINGLY bad state of N64 games emulation on Wii U especially in europe where alot of them are 50hz slow moving restricted junk and then literally all over the net the Black tinted visor look all N64 games have on Wii U when compared to the way they should actually look. GOOGLE it and see its REALLY bad Paper Mario and SM64 look fricken terrible to name a few.
I picked up all of those on a discount in the UK last time they were half price i PLAN on getting them all when i see a discount unfortunately they've not been on a discount for over a year when i last got mine in Europe so im really hoping this is a good sign.
For those that dont know Axiom Verge is Sony's PS4/Vita equivalent meaning in retro terms hit on a bigger scale in my opinion that Nintendo's Shovel Knight plus id actually say its the better game crazily good game with EPIC soundtracks.
YEAh this DONT happen any more for the most part SO Many games released in a broken state Bugs, Shoddy Framerates Glitches it LITERALLY is the NORM now along with post patch updates to amend games that shouldn't of been released in that state in the first place.
Annoyingly ive already bought 4 Sonic The Hedgehog,Thunder Blade,Galaxy Force II, Altered Beast of those games listed so unless i see it on the Cheap ill have to wait for Sega to discount them on the eshop.
@ImDiggerDan Ok well im onboard day 1 for me which a VERRY rare but at this price ive just got to support you/the dev and 60fps is always a welcome addition to how a game feels/moves so cheers. Question though any 'New 3DS' specific feature/controls ?
AHHHH Music to my ears 'the excitement that Nintendo Humble Bundles cause, and I'd love to see this continue to blossom into a more frequently recurring tradition.
I cannot wait for another Nintendo Humble Bundle incredible value actually their Mobile bundle along with their new PC bundle have all got great games currently amazing value gotta love Humble.
@Kirk Trouble is as with anything BLIND Fanboys will always support whoever it is with their money as the Average consumer is NOT very wise or clever FACT. Me ive gone off Nintendo's ways/business and now as you say there lackluster quality of games BIG time.
I picked up all of the 3D classics Sega have done the last time i see them on half price sale just waiting for them to put the rest on sale to complete what they've released.
Picked up Shovel Knight for around £6 on PS4 and Vita as it was cross buy and look here know such thing on a Nintendo format or even a discount on the same level not impressed as im after picking them up on my Wii U and new 3DS-XL.
This was OBVIOUS it was a FAKE because it didn't have any buttons which is completely against Nintendo's ethos, if you believed it even in the slightest then your a FOOL and know NOTHING about what makes Nintendo Nintendo.
@Kirk agreed im OUT and marching with my feet this practice is archaic and a BIG RIP OFF i like Nintendo games but as a company not really not for some time.
IVE said this before and ill say it again just LOOK at what Sega have done and how they have priced and treated their classics and then look at Nintendo it TELLS you a WHOLE lot of their mentality towards us the consumer.
REALLY I DIDN't know that this remaster wasn't going to be 60fps, pathetic all games play/control much better with a 60fps framerate and if anyone thinks that a remaster from an older game is OK to be anything less than 60fps you truly are clueless.I mean how many games now have we seen come out and been given the remaster treatment to 1080p/60fps and they're ALL run much better for it this is shockingly lazy and slack.
Talented devs where technical execution coupled with brilliant game design and exquisite art all meld together to create amazing games, YES i think we need more devs like this.
TRUTH is their emulation at best overall is poor and lazy and obviously for the most part grossly overpriced, Everdrive and original hardware for me im afraid. .
@Bass_X0 ill agree with that, all PAL games are noticeably inferior to NTSC in all honestly but Waverace 64 was shockingly bad for a PAL port extra slow and clunky and plays like a dream on an NTSC machine, what an amazing looking title for a very early release on the N64 stone cold classic i reckon.
@Phantom_R I have to say i Fully agree this game back when it came out was received and reviewed highly it was especially renowned for it graphics/sound music etc and the game design was exceptional, clearly from the 5 people i knew who had this game it was always spoke of as one of the very best games on the DS including myself as i owned around 60+ well rated titles and this was top 5 so honestly this review politely put is laughable. Absolute minimum this should of got is an 8/10 and thats towards the low end.
@BestBuck15 Well said i love the way Nintendo makes games (actually lately thats not true anymore either, Mario tennis anyone) but their eco system is the worst as usual i do my best to not supporting it and ill vote/march with my feet and just move along, My respect/regard for this company has plummeted over the past few years now it has to be said.
PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE THIS SITE and make it BRIGHT and GARISH like so many others have done and had the community complaining as it hurts the eyes and isn't a pleasant viewing experience, PLEASE TAKE NOTE.
Can you still download all of this free DLC that was going back months ago if you've just picked up the game ? if so whereabouts in the game to you have yo go to get it all ?
The Purple Monster S-Video cable that is a Hi end quality cable screening/shielding/OFC etc is the best cable for the N64 picture quality as it actually outdoes an N64 running an RGB Mod with a normal quality scart cable. Also point of note is to say that putting said S-Video cable into my high end cinema amp which sports a HQV Reon-VX scaling chip and then outputs to 1080p through HDMI completely cleans all blurriness/jaggies from the picture which actually smooths out framerates where games were once jittery, eg parts of Banjo Tooie.
Not quite sure i understand this 'Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water (Nintendo / Koei Tecmo, €49.99 / £39.99 with free initial download) - Unlike in North America this download release is also accompanied by a physical retail limited edition' anyone ?
Been waiting for Retro City Rampage: DX to see a discount im definately going to grab that especially seeing as it received a nice update some time ago for my New 3DS: http://retrocityrampage.com/20150212.php
Gonna have to get The Swapper is meant to be excellent getting 9/10 reviews almost everywhere and considering it more closely resembles the PC/PS4 version im sold kinda interested in Thomas Was Alone also for just £2.20.
