I can say for sure that using only the Monster component cable (others component cables dont show as clear or crisp picture ive tried) and plugging the component cable into my high end home cinema amp which happens to have one of the best scaling chips out there which means upscaling it to 1080p and outputting through HDMI pretty much look like this as do most of the other Wii games aswell..
@KIRK i completely agree fella ive always owned all of Nintendo consoles/handhelds close to launch the WiiU being the first time ive not bothered (along with many if not most of my colleagues/friends) i respect their ability to create good games but as for the rest of their business model i DONT LIKE IT AT ALL and i dont like pricing either (in the UK at least) for their digital titles, hence why i almost entirely dont buy downloaded games from them anymore unless on sale. They do seem to be professional Heel Draggers nowadays.
I vividly remember importing a Jap snes into the UK along with Actraiser,Pilotwings & Super Ghouls & Ghosts and my god was i blown away by this new Nintendo console, but that music was literally jaw dropping back then let alone the unusual gameplay took awhile to figure it out i can remember that, O boy did i enjoy my Snes so much quality.
Have been trying to redeem an eShop card all day with no luck shows up after inputting the code as £25 then continues with an error screen, damm i want several of the games on sale, hope these problems end soon.
Bought this on sale for my PS3 and as its a cross buy title got the Vita version for free and its a tremendous game on both, never liked Zen pinball on the 3DS anyway after playing the demo it just didn't look/feel right to me so this is know surprise.
Gotta take your hats of to devs and support them if you can when you can see they want to really make their games as best as possible. Problem for me i dont own a Wii U (will get one soonish when price starts dropping more) this game plus many others i would of bought mostly when on discount ready for my future purchase of a Wii U but theres know way of me doing that, shame really.
Personally as good as this game is this is an extremely expensive HD remake of an old game and their charging Full price for it, its not getting my money unless its heavily reduced, also this Video is a cheap shot at the SD version because anyone with a brain would understand that the SD version is going to be looking mighty close when compared to the HD version and some small compressed vid box on the screen is a cheap shot in all honesty. Fact is if you were around when Windwaker was originally released you'd remember that the game was somewhat famous for missing several dungeons and other chunks of the game very rare for Nintendo to do this to a AAA title but time constraints etc now this isn't the same as other games you hear about devs didn't have time to put in the game, Nintendo AAA titles have exactly what content they should of had in them, this was the first time i'd experienced that from them eg Zelda OOT had lots of content deliberately left out (was later put in Majors mask) as the game was a complete package, Windwaker never was a complete package so second time around and SAID content STILL doesn't make into the game unforgivable in my opinion and full price to boot eg i told a mate who adored the game back in the Gamecube days about this HD remake several weeks ago now and the first thing he said is great cant wait to play the missing content the game should of had Mmmm he wasn't pleased to find out its not being put in.
This is going to be CRAP believe me think about it ive never seen or heard of anyone use a dual screen handheld with the top screen completely Flat, if you've tried you'll know how uncomfortable it is to use it needs some sort of angle on the Top screen.
It scored a 7 utterly RIDICULOUS i dont know of anyone that has played this game that would give it anything less than a 9 or 10 literally i dont know of anyone thats ever said a 7, it takes all sorts thats for sure.
Im surprised that the sound quality didn't get a mention because at the time this game had astonishing music the scores and the quality used were both on another level, personally i used to flick back between this & Goldeneye as my fav FPS on the N64 (well that was until Perfect Dark came out anyway) and if i remember correctly this was the first game to use the weapon wheel select system that many others adopted there after and the first game to use a 256mbit cart double that of previous carts on the N64.
I pre-ordered Metroid Prime trilogy with the steelbock packaging for about £23 and still to this day they are my favourite Wii games, level design/geometry are spectacular shame more people didn't get to experience these Gems.
I think this just proves Nintendo have got this very wrong as by far the vast majority of people who want a Wii U but haven't purchased because they think its to expensive, i personally cant see how such Old Tech (well new tech that performs like old tech) add in a rubbish low resolution screen and terrible battery life AND your doing all that at a loss, sales proves the point its to expensive for what it is. This business model isn't going to work as it stands.
COME ON Nintendo i cant be the only one that thinks you could/should have released this on the 3DS at the same time as many people dont own a Wii U and would like to experience this game.
@Cyberbotv2 i never said the console is bad i just meant it doesn't represent value for money let alone Good value for money, and yes ive owned pretty much all consoles for that current generation for decades now (have to in order to play exclusive specific titles) and as for demographic sales figures alone tell the story that most demographics aint buying into it, let alone a workforce of over 300 people between us and know one owns a Wii U, quite telling i think. When it reaches better value either a price drop or a much better bundle then ill make a purchase as ive already got my eye on some Retail & Wii U eShop games i'd like to get.
Look im 40 yrs old been a gamer since around 8 yrs old most of my friends are similar aswell now all of my friends including me dont own a Wii U most of the workforces involved with all of us dont own a Wii U why ? simple in discussion everybody sees it as WAY overpriced for what it is, and amongst my closer friends conclusion is: it is a modern console with OLD performance tech Mmmm well similar in performance to PS3/360 etc which are 7 yrs old Mmmm 32gb on board storage Mmm 250-500gb on the other consoles, old looking capacitive, rubbish battery life tablet/joystick which doesn't even allow you to play games at native resolution and the display (not even a 720p panel) very old hat indeed all for more money than a PS3/360 no thats not going to work thats for sure, and yes wee all love Nintendo as our favourite gaming company and yes we all bought most other Nintendo handhelds/consoles close to launch just not the Wii U.
Shantae for me thats for sure, would really love some N64 love for my 3DS though imagine Mario 64 playing with the anaolgue stick it just didn't work on the DS though shame.
Personally i think that every retail game you buy you should receive a download code for the eShop so you have the convenience of having the game on your SD card.
Ive said it before and ill say it again was a launch title and remained one of the very best games on the N64 period, was the game that brought TRUE understanding and realisation of analogue stick control to the N64 (up until that point it was all d-pad & joysticks etc, i achieved 100% in every mission which took some doing and still continued to play the game.
I love this game i was fortunate to get this on PSN for my PS3 when it was on half price sale for £3.99 then being PS+ subscriber i think it went down to £3.40 i always buy my PSN cards for 20% less of face value so actual cost of this game worked out around £2.70, just wish Nintendo do a PS+ service or a way to purchase eShop cards for less than face value giving us consumers a better deal.
UNLESS im mistaken wasn't this game first time around known to have had various dungeons and game content cut just because of time constraints and then when released every other review attested to as much the game feels way to short so second time around YOU would expect for them to include original content, so yes a VERY lazy port that unless is on some silly reduced deal will not be getting my money.
Listen most people who followed this series from Factor 5 know fully well about the on foot segments and also know fully well that this game is a solid 7 or 8 so 5 aint making sense to the masses on this one i can tell ya.
@RupeeClock I hear you brother about Cave Story its getting silly how long thats taking now, however ive been waiting for Super Little Acorns 3D to get reduced so now ill jump in and try this little gem £5 no £2.50 YES.
@TimLatshaw cheers have just downloaded the OST for the first game and it now says (**UPDATE: Now includes the new remixes from Mighty Switch Force! HyperDrive Edition, available now for Wii U — download it today on the Nintendo eShop!) so i did and after downloading and unzipping the MP3's i cant tell which of the 26 tracks are from the Wii U version from the labelling, anyone know ?
having completed many times the original Ghost & Goblins in the arcade way back in the 80's i then imported this from japan to play on my super famicom and managed to get to the last level several times, boy did this game wind me up alot back then, but that was half the fun to be fair because you just knew that if you knuckled down and concentrated you'd progress, i must say though that back as this was released as one of the first snes games it BLEW me away with it presentation and sound and those fancy mode 7 levels etc wow definitely one of my favourites.
$89.50 for an extended battery utterly ridiculous when you consider you can buy yourself a Zerolemon 7000mAh for a Galaxy S3 for £30 and this is only 5800mAh for $89.50 not good if you ask me. Let alone there are various 10000 battery packs that allow many different devices to connect and draw power from for around $40 this is way overpriced im afraid. I like it but overpriced.
I think most of us know that VC titles be it on Wii, eShop or WiiU are to expensive especially if you live in Europe where it seems the conversion rate used against the $ is preposterously high making the games even worse value.
Interestingly Super Mario Kart, Chrono Trigger, Star Fox & Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island all had some form of assisted hardware on board the carts either a DSP Chip or SFX chip to improve the graphics output of the Snes.
Ive heard all the nonsense about why Nintendo didn't put one in the 3DS XL but truth is its just a plain and simple revenue stream thats all, in this day and age where many things are getting slimmer slicker etc this cumbersome device is ridiculous, needed granted for some games but ridiculous all the same.

Re: Video: These Are The Ten DS Games We Want To See On The Wii U Virtual Console
In my humble opinion i think the DS has the best games catalogue of all time out of any console/handheld, obscene amounts of quality.
Re: Super Mario Bros. Deluxe Set For 27th February Release on the European 3DS eShop
Received my code today & downloaded the game, cant argue for free, and its a damm good game aswell.
