Well could be my busiest week ever on the Wii U eShop, Chasing Aurora, SteamWorld Dig, Teslagrad & Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition works out at £15.56 Teslagrad on its own is normally £13.99 so at those prices looks to good to miss.

New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U are and have both been under £15 each from multiple retailers and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is between £28-£30 from several retailers, The Shovel Knights are tempting though.

@Ootfan98 first off love you avatar 'Head Over Heels' what i would do to be able to play that on my 3DS or Wii U anyway that game was probably my favorite game back in that generation closely followed buy their Batman game, and yes its gone well past the stage of being acceptable now with their lack of new consoles that need to be added to the VC.

Re: Review: Thomas Was Alone (Wii U eShop)

I'd like to say THANKS devs for accurately pricing this title for WiiU i mean $10.99 = £6.99 looks about right to me unlike almost all other devs who's price would be £8-9.99 which makes no sense.

Yup this game is amazing (reason i ended up building a gaming PC) was games like this i ended up picking it up in a Humble Bundle along with several other decent games for around £4.

Re: Nintendo 64x64: Perfect Dark

XyVoX

Was just saying to my mate the other day that i reckon Perfect Dark is the best FPS still to this day, then Goldeneye followed closely by the Metroid trilogy. From what i remember RARE updated the Goldeneye engine to run from 20 to 30 fps as well as putting the game on a 256mbit cart, the sound/music in this game is Epic.

Re: Review: Hyrule Warriors (Wii U)

Almost everyone i know who has ever played a Dynasty Warriors game would say that they are not very good so Sticking a dose of Zelda throughout the game aint gonna change that, im surprised it actually got a 7. This is a pure FANBOY purchase because the game was never going to be that good.

@Bass_X0 Exactly short story from a fellow gamer previously owning a Japanese Megadrive i bought imported and then playing the UK 50hz games i was well aware of the difference 60hz games were Full screen, crisper graphics 17.5 % faster etc i as well as almost everyone that played on my Megadrive blatantly understood the huge difference between the 2 speeds so in December 1990 i sold my Megadrive collection was 17yrs old at college at bought an imported Super Famicom i was literally one of a handful of people at the time that had this unit in the UK, when Mario Kart came out the UK the 150cc speed was the 60hz version 100cc speed, some people dont get it its not just the games animation is faster the music is faster control response is faster but the game was never intended to be played or run in 50hz so it is in almost every way a worse version of the game. Put it this way think of any modern game you play now and know well then if you were to run it 17.5% slower your gonna know just how bad that game now plays its Huge.

@whodatninja Yeah when i got my Wii U MK8 bundle the first 2 games i wanted to download was Super Metroid & The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past couldn't believe in 2014 Nintendo release 50hz junk even stranger is many of the WiiU Vc games are the 60hz versions and someone at Nintendo thought i would be a good idea to release 2 of the top Snes games in 50hz complete madness i say, also the main reason i was unable to purchase most of the Wii's VC library because all but a select few were all in 50hz..

Re: New Nintendo 3DS Models Announced

XyVoX

I hope somewhere does a deal like GAME done and offer you a good price to trade in your 3DS-XL against the new mode like they did with the 3DS-3DSXL where you could keep your older model and bring it in once you've transferred your content across.

Re: Talking Point: The Argument For And Against Retro Flash Carts

XyVoX

For me i my first ever experience was with a DS flash cart and what took me down that avenue was that i had literally 60+ highly rated DS games and it got really inconvenient carrying around my DS and multiple games i sat there one day and thought there has to be a better option, at this time i had NO idea of the concept of Flash Carts until after many hours research i discovered that they were available from Hong Kong i went ahead and ordered and thought it was amazing, secondly i the reason i SoftModded my Wii was because i owned again literally 80+ games most bought from new etc and got fed up with the utter inconvenience of it all and found out if i softmodded my Wii i could put my Wii game discs into my Wii and copy them over to a harddrive in order to play them this i can tell you made a HUGE difference in my enjoyment of my Wii (obviously the bonus of other territory games that never saw a Europe release i could play aswell)
