I don't think that Zelda work with a selectable gender, but I'm not apposed to link just being female. After all, according to Zelda lore, Link, Zelda and Ganon are reincarnated with most installments. Who said link had to be a man with every incarnation? In fact, let's take it one step further and try making link a different species, or come from a different background.

Why is there a Christmas themed ad for the Wii U in November? Heck, I even remember some Christmas ads appearing in October and September.

Although I kinda wish that she looked more like Link, I kind of like the new character.

I would've put the Black Mage in instead, since he's heavily tied to the original FF games.

Happy 10th! Nintendo is as old if not older than the XBOX 360!

Whenever one of these studies comes up to see what percent of gamers are women, usually the results are the same. Whether it's trying to see how many women play lots of video games, or trying to see how many women own a console, the answer is usually slightly more than men. So why is it so hard for you to believe that 50 percent of gamers are women?

Reasons I believe that there are equal parts men and women gamers:
1) There's a difference between "Gamer" as just someone who play's games and "Gamer" as identity.
2) Most search engines and social media sites actively and algorithmically push people to others that are just like them.
3) Several female gamers try to hide their gamer identites because of sexual harassment.

@Windy Is it that hard for you to believe that women like games as much as women that you demand a recount? also, saying "Me thinks" is grammatically incorrect.

Why is it so hard for people to understand that girls can like games as much as men do? It's not like having a Y-chromosome will somehow inhibit your ability to enjoy games, so why then?

This question didn't really need to be asked. We all know that Miitomo is for so-called "Casual Gamers" (I absolutely hatethe term "casual gamer" because it's always used as some sort of insult).

This video makes me wish that other companies started making "Maker games" for their franchises. I mean, that would help the industry greatly by inspiring kids to become game designers.

Twilight Princess HD would kind of be a waste. I really liked Twilight Princess, but I can still find a copy of it out in the wild, and I still have a Wii hooked up to my television.

I have to wonder, what would scrolling shoulder buttons add to games? I mean yeah, it could be used for weapon selects in shooters, but what else?

Maybe this sonic game might actually be good! After all, sonic has generally had some well recieved portable games, like Sonic Advance and Sonic Rush.

The problem with nintendo making a smartphone, is that they're so tied to "Dedicated Video Game Console" that if they tried to make a smartphone, no one would take it seriously.

@IkariStrider Metroid Other M's story was actually about trauma and loss IN SPACE. It's just that the game portrays it as "Samus tries to impress a man".

It's not that E3 sucked for Nintendo. It's just that it was okay at a time when okay isn't enough.

Part of it is the fact that the brain remembers melodies better than any other part of a song (this is also why music composed by John Williams is so memorable). The NES can only handle 3 notes playing at a time, and the Super Mario Bros. theme takes advantage of this by making a strong melody with a good harmony to go along with it.

@BakaKnight Considering the fact that Mario (The highest grossing video game franchise BTW) is a game about a plumber jumping on turtles and eating mushrooms, It might have been good.

I'm disappointed at the lack of love for Etrian odyssey IV. Dare I say, the game was nearly FLAWLESS!

Microtransactions aren't in and of themselves bad. It's just the way that developers use them that is bad.

Honestly, Nintendo's setting themselves up to fail. FYI they're not talking about a Home Console/Portable Console Hybrid. They're talking about an OUYA/Gamestick style console.
