@Grandiajet I said that a minority of gamers were LGBT. Data supports that. I didn't claim one way or the other if straight people like gay romance in games.
@CharlieGirl You said important to "a lot of gamers". That can easily be interpreted as a 'large percentage of gamers'. It is not important to a large percentage of gamers.
Personally, I was very disappointed. I don't care about JRPGs or Warioware, Mario Party is a near insulting remake for those of us who've been wanting DLC for Super Mario Party, and Breath of the Wild 2 has an extremely vague release date, and no real gameplay footage. Advance Wars looks worse than the original imo.
Metroid was cool though, but that is it. When you were expecting news about Bayonetta or Retro or Mario Kart or Donkey Kong or other triple A's, it's hard not to be disappointed.
@Slowdive Haaaaaaard disagree. Completely packed? If you're not a JRPG fan, I think there was literally 1 game that wasn't a remake, and that was a 2D Metroid - not even 3D!
After a string of disappointing E3's, this was probably the worst of them
Most disappointing E3 in years. I don't care about JRPGS, so all I got was -Warioware - basically a joke game, not really my cup of tea. -Metroid 5 - nice surprise, but not an AAA game. -Mario Party - a sliight step above being directly insulting, knowing how stiffed Super Mario Party owners have been, even using the exact same assets and animations -BotW2 trailer - knew that was coming, 2022 is disappointing -Mario+Rabbids - nice, but knew it was coming -Advance Wars - remake, already have it. Massively disappointing all over.
Where's Retro, Donkey Kong, Arms, Splatoon, Bayonetta, Pikmin, 3D Mario, Mario Kart?
Hades has excellent gameplay, and I've played it for around 80 hrs, but the story wasn't that interesting to me. Maybe it was the characterization of Zagreus specifically, but it pulled me out of the game a bit.
Also, is it just me, but is "Color Splash" a really weak title? Thousand-Year Door sounds really cool and mysterious, and Sticker Star has the strong "St" sounds to it (besides being just a cool combination of words" and is a tautogram.
Dream Team was a great name because that was literally what they were, whereas Paper Jam was pretty lame - this is lamer.
This is most definitely a Sticker Star 2.0 No partners, weird out-of-place giant real-world objects and what looks to be a resource fighting-system. Dont think I've ever gone from really excited to bummed out in 10 seconds.
I know people are pissed right now, I'd just throw in my two cents - to me, the Wii U is the best console ever made. I have never experienced such an array of absolutely stellar games, with even more to come. Nintendo dropped the ball by not showing any major new Wii u titles, but I think those of you hoping to bring 3rd party back with the next console are kidding yourself - for some reason its not something third parties are considering, or the rumours of Sony and MS paying third parties to skip it are true
@EverythingAmiibo They're extremely overhyped, you'd be disappointed I think. @Krambo42 That's what Risky's Revenge did for me, nice to hear a voice of reason
I really hope this isn't the case, I'd much rather they spent their time on other games! I understand there's a large fan-base (even though I don't understand why), but I played New Leaf for a while, and it hardly seemed like a game to me - you get fossils to make your house bigger, and fill it with furniture - anything else to the game? That does not deserve a prime Wii U spot imnsho.
I think telling people they'll be dissapointed if they were hoping for a signle-player experience is pushing it - everyone says the single player is awesome, so why do you expect that? It's a bit short yes, but 'sadly dissapointed' sounds as if it sucks. On other sites I hear it takes about 10 hrs to complete, which is very reasonable to me.
@Grumblevolcano No, the game releases next week. In a game like Splatoon where knowing the map is critical, I'd say 5 multiplayer maps is enough for release. And for the record, not talking about a "complete" multiplayer, I meant a complete game - you're leaving the singleplayer out. The way I see it, we get a game, then more free stuff when it's ready, what's wrong with that? Releasing everything at once would just overwhelm players, kinda akin to patches in an MMO
@Peach64 No matchmaking as in no grouping with friends? I see your point.
@Captain_Gonru Fair enough, thanks for the civil tone
@Captain_Gonru but the whole game does release next week. What you get after that is just a bonus. If you think the summer is barren then there's no reason to wait - play now and play later, or player later only, for the same price.
@ericwithcheese2 To be fair, neither of those got stellar reviews. I love Wonderful 101 though, I think it is criminally underrated, and I'm getting STEAM at some point too
Those "fans" are the same that'll wait to purchase anything nintendo-related untill the NX comes about, even though they have no idea what it is. All the discussion of that console is hurting the Wii U's sales because people think its just about to come out.
The game sounds like it will have plenty of content for launch, when did everyone start whining so bad? Picture this : the game launches with 1000 maps - would that make it better? No, it would make it a lot worse. This is an online shooter with enormous focus on knowing the maps and how to get around, including too many maps would just overwhelm people. The content feed sounds phenomenal in my opinion, you're all degenerating into brats.
All of these predictions are absolute poison to the Wii U's sales - a lot of people will take in all the negativity and wonder why they should buy a Wii U if it's discontinued soon. I love my Wii U, but for some reason this bad press bas stuck with it since the beginning and the sales have suffered.
I was pretty dissapointed, only things that interested me was the STEAM update (which seemed to be a point of critique for many), the 200cc and Octodad.
