Though most of the focus on 15th June fell upon the E3 Nintendo Direct, there were a number of hours of Treehouse demonstrations that followed. These gave some relatively detailed looks at a number of the newly revealed titles, which was an enjoyable watch at the time.
Thankfully Nintendo has uploaded the various sessions so that anyone unable to sit through them all live can catch up. We've collated them below for your viewing pleasure.
[Note: If you want to view the No More Heroes III segment you will need to watch it directly on YouTube, as it is age-restricted]
Metroid Dread
WarioWare: Get It Together!
Mario Party Superstars
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin
Mario Golf: Super Rush
Shin Megami Tensei V
Did any of these demonstrations stand out to you? Let us know in the comments!

Already Done.
I was sad it was only one day. I remember some previous E3's where you could wake up and look forward to when the treehouse started again.
I wish they could show more in these demonstrations, but they're really slow and don't achieve much. The SMT section was particularly awful.
I know I'll buy most of these games Nintendo, but at least show us something.
Shin Megami Tensei V's Treehouse did the game way more justice than that trailer lol
I get they wanted to sell SMT to the mainstream given it's a big thing it's coming out worldwide at the same time, but it wasn't really as exciting from the perspective of actual SMT fans imo.
This is certainly welcome. While I listened in on some of the Treehouse action, I was working at the time and couldn't devote my full attention to the presentations. Definitely have some catching up to do!
@TheFrenchiestFry The Japanese trailer was a full three minutes, and it showed off more than the Treehouse did.
I get that they're explaining it for newcomers but a lot of people won't be interested, and the people that are will be drawn in by the gameplay/music/aesthetics instead of an explanation.
@Kimyonaakuma Yeah I saw both trailers. The JP one was definitely more for the MegaTen playing crowd and gave a much better indication of story elements or what had been updated or refined from other SMT games, whereas the Nintendo Direct trailer was probably purposely presented to appeal to the mainstream audience watching the Direct and not just SMT fans
I am glad Nintendo/Atlus are pushing the game as hard as they are though. This probably ensures the game will end up being the biggest chance mainline has of breaking out of "somewhat niche" territory like Persona did with P5
Advance wars looks way better in motion. The war map/war model/figure aesthetic is a good fit after a second look.
Warioware is totally zany so looking forward to that as well.
I was sad to see the treehouse didn't have any additional announcements this time. Or at least...nobody has reported any?
@Ogbert I really prefer it that way, I hate it when announcements are in the Treehouse segment and left out of the Direct. To me the Treehouse should just be highlights of what was revealed, which is exactly what it was this year.
@TheFrenchiestFry Facilitating a worldwide launch. Placing trailers prominently in their big digital events. Including it in their treehouse stream.
Nintendo is doing a brilliant job of pushing this series.
Just watching the Advance Wars Treehouse now. I really like the design, especially the wooden board for the battlefield. Kinda reminds me of Tanks! from Wii Play
Thanks for the links. I want to see MHS2:WoR gameplay b/c I have no idea what it is.
I wonder if they'll put these in the News section on Switch? They had most of the Direct up there yesterday in little pieces game by game, which is nicer than sitting through 40 minutes again. Also the full Direct if anyone wants to sit through it again, or for the first time in case you forgot yesterday.
So, it was only once, unlike previous years, where there were 3 days of Treehouse? Oh... Not a problem. Just a little disappointed. Expected though, since we're coming out of Covid-19.
@Ryu_Niiyama
Yup agree with this, AW looks great here. Hope all the extra content in the original is here like the maps you unlock during regular play. Day 1 purchase for me for sure.
@TheFrenchiestFry
I almost found the western trailer insulting lol.like explaining the battle system like we never played a rpg before...and hey you can talk to demons and stuff like that.but I get it,why they did that.so it's cool.but as a smt fan the Japanese trailer was way better
@Bret For me, that was the only reason to watch the Treehouse. It was exciting to know that even though the Direct was over, there was still something extra to be revealed too. Without it, it's like watching a slightly awkward Twitch stream. But each to their own.
The No More Heroes not added?
Metroid Dread, Monster Hunter Stories 2 and Shin Megami Tensei V look AMAZING! Will get them all day for sure!
By the way, the long gameplay for No More Heroes 3 (another day 1 for me) wasn't part of the Treehouse?
@UndoControl Yeah, the only time we got a Nintendo announcement in a Treehouse or something outside the Direct/Digital Event was for an average game that could have been canceled and nothing of value would've been lost.
If you haven't figured it out it's Devil's Third for the Wii U
no more heroes treehouse was a treat, looking forward to watching the SMT V and Metroid Dread ones tonight as well
@UndoControl only once huh? Probably should fact check that before making such patronising comments.
Codename S.T.E.A.M, Ever Oasis and Samus Returns for 3DS were all announced via the Treehouse on different years.
@HammerGalladeBro I've not played Devil's Third so can't speak to that game. But Codename S.T.E.A.M, Ever Oasis and Samus Returns were all Treehouse announcements, personally I loved every one of them.
Really looking forward to Mario Golf next week! And especially glad that additional courses and characters will be free.
