I'm not sure I like his approach for tending to different types of gamers preferences - if all First-Party Nintendo games do that, then the GamePad can never have a pivotal role, because the games have to be playable without it's functionalities.
I think it's annoying that NL is continually covering for Ubisoft - I'll never forget Rayman Legends. That being said, I don't think we have too much to worry about - the least-cool part of the GamePad is the touchscreen I think, which is the only thing that tablets can replicate - most likely with more lag built in, so true asymmetric gaming it won't be.
@NassaDane I didn't mind the story in Sticker Star. What I didn't care for overly was that I had to search- and make room for those giant real-life item Stickers all the time. And no sidekicks, sniff.
I dont think there has been enough innovation in the New Super Mario Bros series, so on that account his remark doesn't hold true. Neither really between Galaxy 1 and 2 for that matter. The "problem" is that if Mario Games are the ones selling the most, then those are the games they are going to make. I must say, I am a bit 'full' of 2D Mario right now, though looking forward to 3DWorld!
@JQuest - as another user said, linking the pack-in to some great DLC like Super Luigi U would also be quite a smart decision We can only hope for some awesome extra courses for DK - I can't get enough
The price is fine - as Moffit says, more games will heighten interest, and when the PS4 launches and then experiences no great games for months on end - BAM! Mario Kart hits everyone in the face. The Wii U will do just fine, you'll see
@C-Olimar - does that justify unprofessionalism? Additionally, it's interesting you already know that it's unambitious - if anything, I think the new way of showing the maps is exceedingly ambitious
NintendoLife have been really annoying during this E3 - firstly, the discussion of the NintendoDirect was nothing more than sad and depressing, and the fact that they cannot abstract from their own unfulfilled expectations is just unprofessional. A lot of us are very excited about DKTF and 3DWorld, so this is an annoying read. If I want negativity I'll go to WiiUDaily - don't go down that road!
I still have Luigi's to complete, so I'm not too bothered, although the 20th is my birthday, so that would've been fun - oh well, Super Luigi U coming out on that date anywho! Looking forward to your Shantae review though, hoping for some retro goodness
Donkey Kong, for the simple reason that it was there!!!
Actually, Smash Bros, which is leading the poll right now, is at the bottom of my list - it looks almost EXACTLY the same as Brawl :/ Most moves are direct equivalents! That's no fun!
@NintendoGirl I think some of it has to do with general lazyness - if people cannot comprehend what it is about in an instant, then maybe they dont make the effort.
In that sense, the Wii U is behind the Wii in "in-your-face"-appeal - everyone instantly understood how the Wii worked, and while the Wii U is better in every aspect, people maybe just dont understand it till they've played one - good to hear you liked it too!
SilentTardis must be right - I've never gotten a StreetPass hit from any other than my brother, so it is sad My new goal is to get one before this comes to fruition!!
Wow, people on here sound so greedy and ungrateful - how dare Nintendo give us demo-access to anything but their not-even-revealed super blockbuster titles?!

Re: Michel Ancel: Working on Wii U Provided the "Main Excitement" for Rayman Legends
He lost a bit of his popularity with me when he didn't want to make Beyond Good and Evil 2 for Wii U

@C-Olimar Their job is to review it, not be biased against it from the start
