Re: Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Originally Didn't Have a Single Player Mode

WanderingPB

honestly learning that you dont have the ability to play 2 player was very disappointing. My son and I still play Four Swords on the 3DS and were looking forward to playing it together and now hearing about the single player i would consider it a challenge so it doesnt really bother me but i expected more from Nintendo...but i am impressed b/c 128 levels is nothing to laugh about especially in this day and age of ridiculously priced DLC and seasons passes

Re: Eiji Aonuma is Aiming For an Open World "Surprise, or Kind of a Twist" in The Legend of Zelda for Wii U

WanderingPB

@rjejr my son has heard my ramblings about my hours and hours with the original Starfox and SF64 so he actually chose it in order to play with me...im a very lucky dad! LOL! but he's also very open minded gamer and is willing to try different games out which at his age i was not. i feel lucky b/c after the playing the original Skylanders on the Wii he doesnt care about the new versions or even Disney Infinity. he told me he would rather me buy more games than figures...i raised him well rjejr

"that guy...he asked nicely"

but...but once i remove the blade that i keep in my boot from its sheath it can not be returned until it has spilt blood....but ok i will fall back this time but cant make any promises for next time b/c its silly to me especially when you said nothing wrong. we should just respects each other thats all

Re: Eiji Aonuma is Aiming For an Open World "Surprise, or Kind of a Twist" in The Legend of Zelda for Wii U

WanderingPB

@rjejr I hear ya brother! funny story im sure you'll appreciate this one...i asked my son after the disappointing Ninty E3 which games he wanted for xmas. he looked at me and said Pokemon SMD and Starfox. to which i asked why not Wooly World? he said "Daddy your Yoshi crazy i know ur going to get it for yourself so why would pick when i can get something else too!"...i couldnt help but laugh and feel proud that my son knows me so well and is smart about his choices....and in my house regardless of delays a promise is a promise and he is getting Starfox day 1 like he did Pikmin 3 after the numerous delays LOL!

@617Sqn "keep religion off these threads"
its not a religion you dope its a way of life right @rjejr LOL!

Re: Eiji Aonuma is Aiming For an Open World "Surprise, or Kind of a Twist" in The Legend of Zelda for Wii U

WanderingPB

@Yorumi absolutely!!! this delay is frustrating but doesnt really bother me the fact that Splatoon doesnt give you access to all the new maps which are on the disc I paid for in Battle Dojo is much more frustrating for me. also i was joking with @rjejr as we've had discussion on the last Parent Trap article if u want to take a quick read at our shenanigans LOL! i prefer not to respond to negativity but i respect many peoples opinion here especially rjejr. Thanks though for your perspective

Re: Eiji Aonuma is Aiming For an Open World "Surprise, or Kind of a Twist" in The Legend of Zelda for Wii U

WanderingPB

im fine with waiting and being surprised. i just want my legendary experience. Each LOZ is different and great in their own right which i honestly appreciate and it hurts to know that the Brilliant Skyward Sword controls wont return and wont be improved b/c of fans complaining about trying something new and preferring to push a button...games get delayed that is a fact im glad they didnt give us an exact date or else people would be complaining about that...wait too late

@rjejr "too stupid to stupid to figure out how long it takes to creat a game?"

wow that's rather insightful my friend....im curious how many games have you created?......oh none huh? have you ever had to deal with continuing a series where millions of fans are so demanding for something new and something to stay the same and ready to critize every decision you make regardless?...still nothing? how about dealing with a avid fan lets call him rjejr2 who is obviously excited but hides it well in a cloak of negativity by voicing an anger with sarcasam, links and denying a console's justification purchase on the fact that its library is very compelling but just needs to be so cheap its free, because the less money the company makes the the more likely they will keep on making consoles just like the Dreamcast did....oh wait err never mind LOL!!!

Re: Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash Details Revealed, Including amiibo Support and Rosalina

WanderingPB

i was dissappointed with the last trailer and less than a few days later BAM new trailer and new modes revealed and 2 player co-op online?!...well played Nintendo. This is on my radar now and its not only cause of the above or of Rosalina its because in one of the trailers you actually see Yoshi trying to do a quick flutter before scoring! its the little details that make me appreciate Nintendo games like the birds in Splatoon.

@Souldin LOL! well said!

@rjejr noticed how i never mentioned this game in our conversations before? it was never on my radar. i didnt care but now with 2 player co-op...well add it to the list my friend

Re: Aonuma Talks the Legend of Zelda's 30th Anniversary, Working as Fast as Possible on Zelda U

WanderingPB

so is it possible Zelda U aside from improving the game was also pushed back due to "Tri-again Heros" and Hyrule warriors coming out on the 3DS this holiday season? makes me wonder if Twilight HD is even meant for this year or possibly early next year?...either way as much as it pains me to wait i will for a legendary experience...i maybe a fool for believing the new Zelda will come to the Wii U but im ok with that

@Lunapplebloom I concur my friend!!!

Re: Parent Trap: Does The Wii U Still Make Sense For Families?

WanderingPB

@rjejr what irony when its you my friend thats tells me to stay positive LOL!!! if we continue to switch roles like this we may actually have Nintendope scared right?! LOL!

i may be a "whiny Nintendo fan boy" but i am also very "logical" even though those two terms dont quite often go together ;p

Splatoon vchat didnt bother me but having split screen w/ dual gamepads wouldve been pretty friggin sweet that and of course having all the levels i PAID for accessible in Battle Dojo! LOL!

As for the NX...im just waiting to be surprised by Ninty again...even though the Wii U wasnt a great success...to me its library was well worth the price of admission! and if i ever veer towards negativity im sure you'll keep me in check...hope ur boys Bar-Mitzvah was awesome!

Re: Parent Trap: Does The Wii U Still Make Sense For Families?

WanderingPB

@rjejr not only do i have Double Dash but my gamecube library is 57 games total! and when i dont use my red wii i use my back up Platinum GCN with S1 video cables Double Dash is not for all especially 150cc the cpu goes from difficult to DKCTF! LOL! and its double team is so much fun woth each character having their own specialty and its co-op can be a disaster or krazy awesome depending if u both work together. but unfortunately since there is no GCN titles on the VC you'll have to wait for the NX or get the original either way i recommend it plus it has the most difficult and best Rainbow Road of the series in my opinion!

Im happy to say that Metal Gear doesn't usually folly the GOTY trend others do. MGS Legacy on PS3 will run u about $30 NEW on AMAZON and you get every single Metal Gear released on console from the NES to the PS3! you also get 2 download codes for the PS store for the PS1 MGS and VR missionsand it includes the HD release of MGS2 and Snake eater!!! Absolutely recommend it new b/c used you might not get the codes for the original MGS and VR missions so yeah Legacy is the way to go! Ground Zeros is $18 and Phantom Pain i got for $40 the only difference between PS3 version and the PS4 version is that the PS3 runs at 30fps and PS4 runs at 60fps other wise the game is the same and absoultely amazing! by the time i get a PS4 (probably when they release Last Guardian) i will repurchase GZ and PP for the PS4 b/c it will be cheaper and i just love MGS that much...yup im a sucker like that too but at least im waiting doesnt that count for something? LOL

My son plays Splatoon with 1 friend online but i feel Nintendoe dropped the ball because my son wanted to play Splatoon together co-op with me and also that Battle Dojo is a joke plus why arent all the new levels available to play in the battle dojo? we're still stuck with the original 5?! Damn it Reggie that and Fatal Frame w/ no physical release and Triforce heros w/out a 2 player mode?...what a joke...hand me a pitchfork rjejr and my son and I will head down to NOA with u and ur boy

Re: Parent Trap: Does The Wii U Still Make Sense For Families?

WanderingPB

@rjejr LOL! yeah this wouldve drove me insane on miiverse!

I actually the same way but the PS2 burned me...i was lucky enough to get it at launch but i was also one of the ones that had to send it back to Sony after 8 months because of a problem with the disc drive...my xbox collected dust b/c i didnt want to pony up $50 buck for a remote in order to use the dvd player and Halo single player bored me so my N64 stood with me but that where my Dreamcast saved me with a ridiculous amount of Marvel vs Capcom 2 that rivaled my Starfox64 and GoldenEye play time!!! but thats when i decided not to participate in the following generation. My friend let me borrow his gamecube and i played Double Dash like i have never played a video game before! That's why i believe 1 great game can be worth buying a console and every other game is just an added bonus

i held off on getting a Wii until the limited Red bundle released with NSMB and that Wii was backwards compatible for $199 plus they already had MK Wii, SMG and of course DKCR so yeah that was a no brainer for me LOL! my PS3 i got the Last Of Us 500gb bundle for $199 and all the games i wanted were $10 - 20 buck so uh yeah MONEY IN THE BANK!!! LOL!

The Wii U i bought at launch and yeah the drought and 3rd party drama sucked but overall my son and I have played the Wii U the most and only go back to the PS3 for Minecraft inbetween Wii U games and of course i do the same except Metal Gear will always have me under its spell...the series i just brilliant to me...LOL uh so yeah u can say i sorta like MGS

savings are important i agree and its never wrong to be a wise shopper but if they ever decide to re-release Dreamcast i would buy it in a heartbeat because of its library regardless if its "obsolete" or not thanks again for putting up with my stubborness

Re: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Passes Four Million Global Sales

WanderingPB

@Spoony_Tech yeah i completely understand. I feel very strongly about having real conversations about the world with my son because honestly i would rather him hear about it from me then some lies he heard in school or by older immature people ( both kids and adults)...my son loves animals but he understand the fantasy that MH provides and the frustration of those ridiculous rare drops LOL! i believe that being a father that will take the time to explain to him about life and play video games with him will create a solid foundation of trust and courage i wish you and your family the best my friend

Re: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Passes Four Million Global Sales

WanderingPB

@Spoony_Tech ABSOLUTLEY!!! my son is nine and we have been playing for the last 2 years! it builds teamwork and being able to bring down those monsters together are so satisfying because you both worked hard together plus you will watch him get better each time! Im primarily a DS but my son's a beast with the Heavy Bowgun and im not ashamed to admit it but better than me LOL! i love playing MH but playing with others MH is fantastic!!! i hope to hear great stories from the adventures you have with your son in the world of MH!

Re: The Legend of Zelda on Wii U and 30th Anniversary on the Agenda for Upcoming Famitsu Feature

WanderingPB

@rjejr LOL! i was thinking the same thing!

@Captain_Gonru im in the same boat...i wanted to buy Triforce Heros day 1 to play with my son until i found out its single or three...my son and I still play Four Swords on the 3DS and have a great time and Four Swords on the gamecube though my GBSSP has met a terrible fate of cookie crumbs (...long story) but its the experience of always at least being able to play 2 player that made this one of my favorite in the series. Local multi-player is slowly becoming extinct in favor of on-line multiplayer...dissappointing to be honest

Re: Parent Trap: Does The Wii U Still Make Sense For Families?

WanderingPB

@rjejr LOL! even though we dont always agree i always appreciate your perspectives on this site my friend or maybe i find our debates much more entertaining LOL!

If we are going to discuss "Holiday" sales then my friend im going to stop u right there b/c just like the PS3 the Wii U had sales bundles available as well with greatly discounted games and bundles at great prices. Im not knocking on the PS3 my son and I continue to sink hours into Minecraft but we are talking about regular prices and options correct? Discount Holiday Sales dont count b/c thats based on each store and what prices they offer competitively plus most places will throw in a gift card to which you can buy another games for free or cheap either way you look at it. Right now at Gamestop and TRU website the PS3 is $249 regular price no holiday discount or bundle. obviously throw in a sale and its Happy Dayz and though that price is cool the Fonz is cooler!

My #1 console i always say is the Gamecube b/c Double Dash helped me realize why i play games for...fun but i spent more hours playing N64 and the Dreamcast...regardless my friend both the PS3 and the Wii U are a must have in my book and this "circumstance" you refer to is a reality to every console towards the end of its life cycle but the difference is that i dont need to recommend a PS2 because most of its games has an HD remaster on the PS3 right?

You realize the PS4 is NOT backwards compatible or else you WOULD recommend it heck that to me is a no brainer i would even buy a PS4 right now! so you do realize we dont know if the NX will be backwards compatible especially if the "disc less" rumors are true? True they usually are but so was the PS2 and Sony cut that off early in the PS3 life cycle so who knows what will happen. You would tell someone to skip MK8, SM3DW, SSB4, SPLATOON and other exclusives just for Madden? Now thats quite MAD ;p but i understand it depends on the person playing too they may prefer 1 madden to a exclusive nintendo library just like i prefer my exclusive nintendo library to broken 3rd party games and i can count them in 1 hand exclusives that or ok... besides once a new console releases the older console is going to be cheaper thats just facts and there are many people who only buy consoles at the end of their life cycle so whether you get a Wii U/PS3 now or later they both have a great library waiting...but understand my friend NOT EVERYONE plays games with REAL replay value hence why we have Gamestops and a "Madden" every year...I value games like Starfox 64, Double Dash, MK Wii, Splatoon because they DO have a unique replay value that expands beyond its generations...not a games like Last of Us which was AMAZING on the PS3 and only looks AMAZING-er on the PS4 but plays the same ya know or Madden that is a reskin of the year before....Double Dash is different from MK8 (and yes better ;p ) just like Wind Waker is different from Skyward Sword and Prime 1 is different from Prime 3...its just we have different values my friend thats all besides its just my perspective and appreciate you listening instead of attacking but if you all of a sudden start praising DKCTF i will know you were abducted by aliens and i will never respond to ur comments again! LOL!!

Re: Parent Trap: Does The Wii U Still Make Sense For Families?

WanderingPB

@rjejr as always my friend i have much respect for you but politely disagree...a PS3 for kids? with partial mandatory installs and games that are also available on the Wii U? except for Minecraft and Adult Mature game exclusives? LOL! a PS3 is still $249 and in order to move those SKU yeah i agree they will have to drop that price especially since most are abandoning it for PS4! and i was using the PS4 and Vita as an example of how the Wii U gamepad gives players a unique experience and price but i know you wouldnt recommend it did you notice how Fallout 4 is now using the vita? people just dont want to admit the gamepad functionality is great

and the Nintendo online store has refurbished Wii U for $200 plus its exclusive library makes it easy in my opinion to recommend and again an obsolete console that has an increase sales of 110% LOL! whether the Wii U has another year or 2 the reason to recommend the Wii U IS ITS EXISTING GAME LIBRARY to which my friend you can not experience elsewhere! i love my PS3 and its exclusives but that doesnt mean i am blind to the facts or should i say hours spent actually playing games.

and maybe this is where we are just different but i ONLY buy consoles to PLAY games. yeah i agree flip floppers are jumping on the NX bandwagon hype but this holiday im going to be playing Super Mario Maker, Wooly World, Fatal Frame, XCX and then Pokken Tournament, Starfox and Legend of Zelda Wii U i also have games on my PS3 that needed my undivided attention. If your just buying a Wii U this holiday 2015 i have to say you have a ridiculous amount of games to choose from whether its playing new or catch up the Wii U library stands tall! I was going to mention DKCTF again but then we would sound like old ladies bickering...uh...well...more so LOL!

Re: Parent Trap: Does The Wii U Still Make Sense For Families?

WanderingPB

@rjejr i understand where your coming from my overly zealous friend but i disagree. Infact i personally dont even believe a price drop would move that many units because even though the Wii U has great quality games it is truly a console for Nintendo fans. Im not defending Nintendo and stating people are wrong and they are right they obviously made some mistakes but the people who solely judging the Wii U based on sales are just as wrong. I buy Nintendo consoles day 1 because i can always expect their quality games and fun experiences where as i wait for Sony and Microsoft to drop price and more importantly to release exclusive games. What do the PS4 and XB1 offer aside from slightly better visuals? Phantom Pain runs great on my PS3 but most importantly plays the same...from the beginning you've mentioned that the Wii U needs a price drop and hey im all for saving money but they are making great games and even with 10 million units they still have many games passing the 1 million mark which is impressive for a "dead" console. I recommend the Wii U because it has more games you will play for more than 1 play through and the experience of having the gamepd you CAN NOT get anywhere else. before u mention the PS4 and Vita how are they together?...exactly the Wii U is unique and thats why i feel its like an overlooked GEM! its annoying i have to look up things w/ the idriod in Phantom Pain when i know the if it was on the Wii U the game pad would make that experience much more immersive. I buy and recommend consoles to play games not watch movies and facebook...and years from now i'll be playing the Wii U with my grandkids and explaining to them how happy i feel being able to share that experience with them...and complaining about Splatoon's horrible level selection in Battle dojo...what a gyp!

EDIT: how much money does it cost to own the PS4 and Vita together? sorry i shouldve read before sending

Re: Yes, Fatal Frame's Lingerie Outfits Have Been Removed From The Western Version

WanderingPB

i would prefer Nintendo leave the game as is after all it is rated Mature even if some people that play the game are not its still OPTIONAL...but overall im still fine with this im still whinning about not having a retail release here in NA...i mean they couldve done a limited retail release...even Pikmin 3 is out of production...i mean c'mon...ok...im whine some more to myself

Re: Parent Trap: Does The Wii U Still Make Sense For Families?

WanderingPB

@rjejr much like the Gamecube my friend the Wii U will be an overlooked GEM...i look at the quality of games and replay value and the Wii U has both. But at the same time i truly appreciate the type of games the Wii U has and STILL has on the way! I have 168 hrs in DKCTF yup 201% and im number 5 in time attack for 1-K and 589 hrs in MK8...the replay value is beyond the hours i put in to other games like Last of Us and i was the type to put over 10 hours into the "demo" called Ground Zeros which i still play but not like MK8 or Splatoon. All are great game experiences but the Wii U for me and my family has been the most apprecited console and to me regardless it shinning brighter than the rest

Re: Super Mario Maker Grabs Sixth Place in NPD US Results and Boosts Wii U System Sales By Over 100%

WanderingPB

this is great news and its disheartening to hear so many people talk about the Wii U like its already dead...like Wooly World, Fatal Frame, Xenoblade X, Pokken Tournament, Starfox, Legend of Zelda, Shimigami tensin X, possible Splatoon, SSB and MK8 DLC...since when did a "dead" console get so many releases? Wii U is the most played console in my house. Sure its successor is gearing up to take over such is the end of every generation...when did people forget its all about the games we play instead of flappin their lips over nonsensical drama? im going to play some Wooly World then some Phantom Pain and have fun

Re: It's Official, Hideo Kojima Has Parted Ways With Konami

WanderingPB

i wish him the best...Metal Gear Solid was the reason i got a playstation...Metal Gear is one of my favorite video game franchises of all time plus im one of the few that loved the original Zone of Enders and no i didnt just buy it for the MGS2 demo! LOL!

@WaveGhoul OMG that is an arcade CLASSIC!!!

Re: Rumour: Dataminers Dig Up eShop Listings For Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda: Skyward Sword And Metroid: Other M

WanderingPB

@rjejr when the title screen came on with that piano melody i was hooked...i didnt even press the start button and i just listened then the time of day changed and i knew XC was going to be amazing! Im not usually into JRPGs but this games freedom won me over especially since you be rewarded for simply exploring! i would explore the whole map before even following the story...Eryth sea was a gold mine for me swimming everywhere but i guess i couldve just jumped down floating platforms but either way XC is my favorite Wii game and SMG held that title for many years LOL! XCX i already know will not be the same but im happy to continue the series where exploration is rewarded...plus now it'll be in a mech...im going to watch the XCX exploration trailer again

Re: Review: Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water (Wii U)

WanderingPB

personally scores are pointless especially from certain sites...some scored DKCTF low because it wasnt a metroid game and it was too hard...and in my opinion its my #1 Wii U game! also W101 got low scores b/c reviewers didnt take the time to learn the controls and actually learn the game or even visit the shop and buy moves or custom that add to any play style...W101 is my number 2 favorite Wii U game...

While it sucks NOA isnt releasing a retail copy i will still buy this game because the experience of Fatal Frame is unique and not to be missed in my opinion

Re: Cosplay Dreams Come True With Zelda and Zero Suit Samus Outfits in Fatal Frame

WanderingPB

@MoonKnight7 I completely understand your sentiment and agree whole-heartedly but the reason for me not getting day 1 is unfortunately hard drive space...plus i personally prefer physical copies as it soothes my psychological delusion of actually owning my games...especially since it seems that we are moving towards an all digital future...but like i said before it just means its not Day 1 for me but eventually i will get it but you do bring up good points my friend

Re: Rumour: Dataminers Dig Up eShop Listings For Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda: Skyward Sword And Metroid: Other M

WanderingPB

@rjejr please feel free to ignore them all LOL! though im not really the type to post constantly but if the original Xenoblade Chronicles had miiverse i would've posted pics of Satori Marsh at night, Eryth sea, Valak Mountain at night, the tip of the finger on the Fallen Arm and....hmmmm i think im starting to see your reasoning....yes avoid all my posts i have a strong feeling im going to geek out during my exploration of XCX! Thankfully my son understands my Xenoblade obsession and he will be playing Pokemon Super mystery dungeon so that should by me some time before im only allowed to play when he's asleep...maybe i should invest in another TV?

Re: Rumour: Dataminers Dig Up eShop Listings For Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda: Skyward Sword And Metroid: Other M

WanderingPB

@rjejr and rightfully so my friend the whole time i was playing Other M i couldnt help but feel that the nunchuk wouldve been perfect but still its a good game i just feel some people just got overly sensitive with the character interpretation kinda like Batman killing people with the bat-mobile...it just puts long-time fans in a bad spot...ya know.

also every Gamecube game still holds up pretty well but an HD remaster of Double Dash, Sunshine, Rogue Squadron, Pikmin 1 & 2, Air Ride, Luigi mansion, Starfox Assault or Animal Crossing would be pretty sweet but with added content to give people more of an incentive to buy especially if the already have the originals.

Until XCX is released im torn between Wooly World, Phantom Pain or Ni No Kuni...regardless im saving up my sick leave for when XCX releases!!! Since im refusing to wait for Santa i guess ill have a head start my friend but dont worry ill still team up with you after all there is much to be done in XCX

Re: Rumour: Dataminers Dig Up eShop Listings For Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda: Skyward Sword And Metroid: Other M

WanderingPB

i wouldnt mind getting a TP HD remaster but i wonder if they would consider adding anything new it? but honestly nothing else they release this holiday will matter to me because all im going to play is Xenoblade X!!!

@Peach64 i agree that this Wii digital re-release is pointless especially with the Wii U being backwards compatible but you also cant only bring the "remaster" hammer down on Nintendo because they have only done it w/ Wind Waker and that game was about 10 years old at the time. Definitely a big difference from 2013 PS3 Last of us and the 2014 PS4 Last of us and be honest Last of Us on PS3 was already visually incredible and the music by Gustavo Alfredo Santaolalla is already emotionally evocative so what was the point of that re-release?

@rjejr LOL! i also got Other M at discount 2 years ago for like $10! i played through about 5 hours and i like it but the controls take some getting used to though but for that price i personally cant complain and of course Super Metroid reigns supreme.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Wins at Its Own Game - A Review of the Nintendo World Championships

WanderingPB

@rjejr im sorta with you in that between the PS4 and XB1 i wanted a PS4 but my reason to purchase a console is only games...and the quality behind those fun titles.

TLG was originally announced for PS3 right? and the original director of the series Fumito Uedea already left Sony...so this title as excited as i am is suspicious. Shemue a series Sega buried with the dreamcast is a KICKSTARTER which like Shovel Knight is not an exclusive so its the director saying you keep bothering me for another game in the series so here put your money where your mouth is and support this kickstarter...why wont Sony pick up the tab like Nintendo did with Bayonetta 2? and FF7 its ok to geek out but im sure after hearing the people BOOing Square's FF7 re-release a remaster is the only plausible move which also i might add is not set to be an exclusive and i know it doesnt matter to you but it was like Metroid EVENTUALLY going to be released it was just a matter of time my friend. SF5 is going to be the Capcom timed exclusive BS...

So all in all i know PS4 and XB1 have many games the Wii U doesnt but my point was that for me it doesnt justify a purchase yet just like many others cant justify a WiiU purchase for all the EXCLUSIVES that the other 2 will never get.

Personally i believe 1 great game can justify a console purchase like MvC 2 justified the Dreamcast for me...but my problem is that it seems like this industry is side stepping to squeeze more money from you without giving you what you paid for

Re: Feature: Nintendo Wins at Its Own Game - A Review of the Nintendo World Championships

WanderingPB

@rjejr your enthusiasm for the PS4 is great and personally i appreciate your opinion and i dont believe any negativity can sway you so i say run with it! LOL!!

i personally was holding out for the red limited edition MGSV PS4 since it was announced in Japan last year keeping my fingers crossed that it would come over here but the news that MGSV has micro-transactions is very disheartening but the reveal Last Guardian honestly made me ridiculously excited...but with all that said my friend i definitely dont feel that it was "game set match"...like Nintendo, Sony has failed to deliver on many fronts and i need more to justify my purchase thatn empty promises or maybe i should say continually to await greatness another few years...and im surprised that you out of all people would be ok without release dates LOL!!! oh and being the big whiny Nintendo fanboy i must tell you that the Gamecube made my PS2 lie in the shadows but my Dreamcast with Marvel vs Capcom 2 made them both hide LOL!!!

Re: Feature: Nintendo Wins at Its Own Game - A Review of the Nintendo World Championships

WanderingPB

Taking a few steps back...the Nintendo World Championships were very fun but somewhat expected...but those final rounds with the Super Mario Maker had my son and I at the edge of our seats!!! and for me personally having Miyamoto-san show up and share his wisdom was just awesome...

Making games that are fun to play...when did people stop playing games for fun? I loved both my Sega Genesis and SNES but having a N64 and PS1 i did see the change that was happening. I want Nintendo to continue to grow improve but of course to still be Nintendo and the reality is that not everyone is going to be happy...but i think thats ok...that will give room for growth for Nintendo as a company and for us as gamers to appreciate the fact that games are meant to be fun and to be enjoyed with others

Re: Nintendo Announces a Special Video Presentation for Super Smash Bros., Hosted by Masahiro Sakurai

WanderingPB

@rjejr LOL! I had a similar camo hat when I was in high school...guess im just a sucker for nostalgia which is why im more forgiving when Ninty makes some of their regular obtuse decisions though I must admit I silently cursed when you kept splatting me. Seems like my hat was a beacon inviting you to find or for me to super jump to your exact location. But the Kraken never forgets though and I did feel a bit guilty in that match in Port Mackerel when roles were reversed and my vengeance was cold and oh so sweet! LOL!

My son is 9 and has his own account on the Wii U after an accidental deleted data incident on the Wii. But due to the highly addictive nature of Splatoon online battles, he is my emergency stand in during those quick coffee/snack retrieval and during those " I can hold it for 1 more round ( 20 rounds ago)" bathroom breaks. Also during one of our matches he was actually rooting for you because you both used the gas mask...Et tu, Brute?

Re: Nintendo Announces a Special Video Presentation for Super Smash Bros., Hosted by Masahiro Sakurai

WanderingPB

@rjejr you're not missing much really those water guns were cheapy cheap pistols with a chappy choo 10 cent Splatoon sticker...you and the family should do what my son and I are planning to do this summer...buy some official Super Soaker artillery, use a permanent marker to design your weapon...then get some roller blades, find a park and go H.A.M.!!! then after all is said and done go home and play some Splatoon...or the more likely reality is sit at home and watch my son play ranked battles and have him constantly remind me how he's at Rank B while I ponder how to unplug the Wii U...hypothetical of course there are plenty of power outages during the summer so there's not a guilty bone in my body XD
