Re: 1001 Spikes Creator Believes Trends Are Shifting Back Towards Tough, Challenging Games

WanderingPB

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze FTW!!!

now that out of the way i find it a bit disheartening that some people will complain about a game being too easy but when given a challengingly difficult game they find another reason to complain about game or want more check points.

I shall quote the wise Cranky Kong and say "Old enough to remember when falling in a pit in a platformer was called “lack of skill” and not “cheap.” #DKCTF #WiiU

Re: Poll: Should Nintendo Patch The Controversial Fire Hopping Technique In Mario Kart 8?

WanderingPB

Its a skilled technique in my eyes only the people who cant do it are really complaining. What about the extra long drifts some can execute perfectly? Should we patch the shortcuts hidden throughout the game? Hey i got an idea nintendo should patch all those items that prevent me from winning…

I understand losing sucks but seriously a green shell or any other item can stop fire hopping especially since the person has to be so close to the edge. Regardless play online worldwide, get better at racing and just have fun playing the game and dont be mad b/c soneones better than you

Re: Ubisoft Reconfirms Watch Dogs For Fall 2014 Release On Wii U

WanderingPB

Sounds like Ubisoft has made alot of Nintendo fans bitter but than again the lack support they recieved from Nintendo fans is just as bad.

But i digress…if WatchDogs shows some unique gamepad functionality like Deus Ex HR i would definitely buy it but if its a gimped version then im sorry but im not wasting my money.

I bought ZombiU on launch day and dont regret it…that game is awesome…especially after the 2 hours end credits there's more gameplay! Intense game that truly used te gamepads functionality but unfortunately it didnt make enough money for a sequel and that like any fanboys biased hate is WRONG!

Re: Mario Kart 8 Drives Wii U Sales In The UK, Claims Second Place Behind Watch Dogs

WanderingPB

I played MK8 all weekend! this is a great game and i hope it keeps up the sales momentum because the WiiU needs its.

@Peach64 Nintendo had a Wonderful 101 Direct remember? I agree that more commercials wouldve been nice but the funny thing is alot of people that dont have a WiiU yet (like urself) have stated that they wanted to get W101 just from the positive response from the people who actually played the game. Which in my opinion trumps the bad reviews it got from the media kinda like the word of mouth of gamers is worth so much more than quickly rushed game reviews. Ur were negative about this game in the beginning too and look how ur views have changed. W101 isnt perfect but its still a game that takes so many creative risks in gameplay and controls that most devs are scared to do. but it does demand u to pay attention and learn because once u get ur first Pure Platinum rank there's no going back. Its hard to understand until u play it and thats just a fact

Re: Nintendo Announces The GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U

WanderingPB

This is great news im curious to know if this is a sign that GCN VC is coming!!!

@sinalefa wow its like u read my mind in ur first comment! LOL!

@rjejr giving the fans the option of their preferred wired controllers is a great gesture from nintendo especially to those who play competitively and believe sometimes wireless controls could have a delay response especially when money is at stake.

But not everyone will be happy kind of like the challenge offered in Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze…people say games are too easy then when they get a challenging game they complain its too difficult…guess some people will just never be satisfied LOL!

Re: Mario Kart 8 DLC Confirmed for Japan With Free Mercedes Car

WanderingPB

Smart proactive marketing? Funny commercial? DLC? MK8?…wow Nintendo…keep it up!!!!

Um werent people complaining about lack of marketing and DLC and now that there is people still complain LMAO! Who cares if u dont like it its free and guess what MK8 gameplay will still be awesome...

But if u still want to rage why not just take it out on them on the track when u race someone using that car? Sounds like a good healthy motivation to hand over a MK8 whooping. Just play the game and shut up about the FREE OPTIONS available to all…but let me guess u were probably complaining about the FREE sonic lost world DKC too huh?…its sad really…

Re: Talking Point: It's Not Too Late for Nintendo to Join the Minecraft Party

WanderingPB

I think this would be a great game for the WiiU or 3DS just like GTA 5 would be even though im not interested in both but gamers would have a choice…the greatest thing about SNES/Genesis generation is that aside from exclusives all other games were available to both consoles……

Now people are complaining about console or handheld power…really…when did it stop being about the games? People complain Mario games are too easy then DKC Tropical Freeze releases and those same people complain about difficulty (while i say GOTY)…guess no one will ever be satisfied…as for me Wii U, PS4, 3DS, Vita, PC, XBone…im a happy gamer

Re: Reaction: Mario Kart 8 Accused Of Poor Sales Potential, Ruining Battle Mode And Racism

WanderingPB

So basically the games is so good that ignorant people have to come up with something ridiculous negativity in order to try to bring down the MASSIVE hype that this game is getting……what happened to just having fun and playing a great game? Why stoop so low that ur bias is revealed and u try to justify it by releasing a nice article after bashing the game?

Its depressing to see these type of actions from so called journalist…i wouldnt call them childish because i would be insulting my son who definitely knows better and appreciates a good game regardless who made it.

Re: Review: Mario Kart 8 (Wii U)

WanderingPB

Who cares whether this game gets a perfect score or not…its still going to be a fun game to play local or online for years to come.

Nintendo consistently releases high quality games but some people still only regard sales as a success and not actual gameplay or overall experience…really?

Im pretty sure the exclusive and STILL growing Wii U game library means nothing simply because its Nintendo…yikes and i thought seaworld was ruthless guess the gaming communtity is harsh in their own right

I cant wait for MarioKart 8! Already have my limited edition pre-ordered and my family and friends cant wait to jump into the happy kraziness which is mario kart 8…because at the end of the day we all play games to have fun…something that many in the gaming community have forgotten

Re: Mario Kart 8 Limited Edition Software Bundle Coming To North America

WanderingPB

Sounds like they want to entice people to go down to the Nintendo World Store for the Mario Kart 8 Launch Event on May 29 8pm- 12am.

Or just have u come down to the store, pre-order the game and end up buying a whole bunch of Nintendo stuff because the store is filled with sum pretty awesome stuff…

Regardless Nintendo should at least allow Amazon or gamestop to carry a few copies for those who cant make it down to NY…i live 1 hour away and even i feel this is unfair

Re: Mario Golf: World Tour’s DLC Isn't Locked Away in the Main Game

WanderingPB

Hmmmm for those people complaining about the DLC shouldve been in the game…u realize that the game has the same amount of content as previous mario golf portable games in the the series…yup mind blown

But i understand i would love more content too especially for free.

Im really surprised how much fun im having with this game which convinced me to get the season pass plus if ur still not sure u can dwnload a demo of the DLC before deciding to buy it.

So yup…this game is awesome and it's DLC done right

Re: Nintendo Quashes Rumours Of New Hardware At E3 2014

WanderingPB

It's scary how statements can be taken out of hand. I heard the entire IGN nintendo voice chat podcast and clearly they were just talking about possibilities and speculation nothing concrete.

I know Nintendo is very secretive but it wouldnt be logical to showcase new hardware as in consoles at such an early life cycle of their current home and handheld consoles.

Im hyped to hear new games announced and release dates for the games they've already announced. Also the Smash invitational and smash fest are just very exciting and am curious to see how nintendo is going to execute their plans.

The only concern now is "patience" because the HYPE is there but sometimes it may cause the speculation to get out of control…kinda like this rumor ya know

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's E3 Plans Are Full of Tantalising Potential

WanderingPB

All the negative press from most not all the media has shown alot of peoples true bias when it comes to Nintendo.

Nintendo has made a lot of bad decisions when it came to the WiiU launch and marketing but why should they give up with the legacy that their games hold? Especially when the WiiU has some awesome first party exclusives that no one else has.

They're now trying to reach out to fans in a different ways and just because of a "live press conference" they're so called scared or have nothing to show…really?

It's important to voice our opinions but most of the negativity is from the media because when u click the E3 video or MK8 Direct the 18K plus likes it has means the people like it regardless of what those negative articles are saying.

It's a great time to be a gamer and enjoy awesome games regardless of the console but to just blindly hate a company because of ur own biased perspective thats just ignorant and am glad they've shown their true colors.

Re: North American Wii U Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Set Bundle Races Into View

WanderingPB

It's funny that even with a great deal like this people will still complain…well even though i already have a WiiU and have all those free promotional games(except WiiPartyU) i think its a great deal. With such a great catalog of games that the WiiU has sounds like sum people r just stubborn but hey take ur time i'll be playin MK8

Re: Feature: When Cranky Kong Took On Twitter

WanderingPB

Old enough to remember when falling in a pit in a platformer was called “lack of skill” and not “cheap.”

The best thing i read all day and i wonder if Cranky can read minds because i thought the same thing when i read the reviews who complained about the games difficulty.…well said Cranky well said

Re: Retro Studios Outlines "Symbiotic Relationship" With Nintendo Teams

WanderingPB

@rjejr

U make some good points but as for the "waggle" controls I politely disagree because in the end controls will always come down to personal preference and not everyone will agree.

U say the lack of gamepad use makes the WiiU irrelevant but did the waggle make DKCR irrelevant? Personal preference in control aside DKCR was an excellent platformer as is DKCTF the next step in this platformers great evolution.

No one but Nintendo and Retro know the true reason for the delay maybe the fur maybe the video sharing.

The problem Nintendo has is marketing WiiU and conveying all its potential to those who are on the fence about it, dont know what the WiiU is or want nothing to do with the WiiU.

DKCTF adds to the exclusive library of games that the WiiU only has and they need to keep these high quality exclusives coming and giving the gamers a choice in controls which its doing but like u i also hope that next time they add more gamepad functionality but never at the cost of the gameplay itself

Re: Retro Studios Outlines "Symbiotic Relationship" With Nintendo Teams

WanderingPB

@rjejr @AVahne
I understand peoples complaints about the lack of gamepad functions but honestly if at the end of the day it doesnt take away from this great game then why complain about it so much? Does Mario 3D World's gameplay suffer because it's not constantly using the gamepad? Does it suffer because it doesnt make use of all 6 buttons, d pad and dual analog sticks?

I played DKCTF at the E3 demo and at a preview event and both times i chose to use the nunchuk because i prefer it and love how it controls…Retro has given us the option of any controller and an incredibly well developed beautiful platformer that gives Mario games a run for its money and lets him know he needs to step his game up.

Im sure more emphasis will be given to the gamepad next time around and im also sure people will complain about it too…as for me im jus going to enjoy this incredible detailed game and its genius soundtrack…

Re: Less Than 5% of Those Polled by the Game Developers Conference Have Wii U Plans

WanderingPB

Nintendo adds a special quality to their games...so whats wrong with appreciating that? Nintendo is struggling to understand the western market and needs to improve as a whole but I absolutely dont want them to be like the competition. Regardless Nintendo will always be under the microscope damned if they do damned if they dont…they have great exclusives but people will complain that those arent the games they wanted…some dont prefer the gamepad DKCTF doesnt really use it in its platforming masterpiece but people will complain about them not usin the gamepad that they didnt want to use to begin with…everyone buys consoles for exclusives and multiplats add to it as well but honestly people need to just play games and stop complaing because ur really sounding ridiculous good games are good games period. Standard Definition didnt prevent Mario Galaxy from being one of the best games of the last generation right so lets just enjoy the games people

Re: Rayman Legends On Wii U Is Still The ''Definitive Version'' According to Digital Foundry

WanderingPB

I find it amusing that this little "test" was even done in the first place. Rayman Legends is a really beautiful platformer period regardless of the decisions Ubisoft made. And as for the best use of the gamepad I respectfully disagree because Zombiu to me used the gamepad fantastically and immersed me in that games world. It is funny that some talk about the gamepad features but still dont own a WiiU pretty funny if u ask me.

Maybe instead of talking definitive versions how about we make believe we buy gaming consoles to gave fun playing the games we like on them but then again what would happen to all the trolls right LOL!!

Re: Video: World 2 Of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Looks Something Like This

WanderingPB

Nintendo does give people the option for the most part but regardless not everyone will be happy. I used to think the nunchuk was a ridiculous idea until i used it and now im sometimes dissappointed when ur not allowed to use it like in NSMBU but at least that was remedied in 3D World.

I cant imagine ZombiU, Batman AC AE, Pikmin 3, WW HD, Wonderful 101, Deus Ex HR, MH3U, Lego City Undercover, NFS MWU, Rayman Legends, Nintendo Land, or Darksiders 2 without the gamepad…but then again thats jus my personal preference.

Still if at the end of the day Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze delivers the platforming brain boosting chemicals, that juice the tentacles in my mental projectable...then who cares if they use the gamepad the game is going to be great and most importantly fun so im okay with that

Re: Video: World 2 Of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Looks Something Like This

WanderingPB

I am very hyped for this game gameplay, level design and music look and sound incredible!

@Rafie i also agree my friend i do wish they would have thought up some cool use for the gamepad but im sure regardless if they did people would've complained that it was either "gimmicky" or not useful instead of enjoying this great platformer. I played the E3 demo and it felt like the next step in the series so ive been hyped since.

There's no question that Nintendo needs to get themselves together but until then i cant hear all these complaints because honestly i have too many games to play on my Wii U

Re: Soapbox: Nintendo's Appearance at VGX Underwhelmed, But the Show Itself Was Far Worse

WanderingPB

As for the winners…im sure everyone can argue for their favorite games so commenting on it would be ridiculous especially since we all have different preferences. The most highly reviewed game arent always the best and vice versa it comes to personal choice but regardless these are all great games nominated and it was a great year for all gamers

As for Nintendo i do feel it was a missed opportunity to really showcase what the WiiU has to offer all gamers but instead they chose to show what i believe should have been in a Nintendo Direct…sure i understand it was a logical marketing move but still the overwhelming negative response speaks for it self. I cant wait for DKCTF and all the other WiiU games coming out 2014 but what will be funny is if Nintendo shows us a great Nintendo Direct that makes up for it and still i dont want to disappoint myself cuz Nintendo makes odd decisions at times

Re: Soapbox: Nintendo's Appearance at VGX Underwhelmed, But the Show Itself Was Far Worse

WanderingPB

Talking about the award show directly i believe they can improve it and give gamers and these great games and developers the proper respect and attention they deserve for their hard work. It was a show filled with some trailers, lots of fluff and rushed and behind the carpet awards. Why didnt they show the big awards? Why not have a co-host that actually likes and respects games instrad of belittling others?

I want an gaming award show thats all about the great games of the year and a sneak peek at the great games coming out in the future…so i will continue to hold on to hope and expect them to fix this award show and showcase this great gaming community which we are all a part of…

Re: Super Mario 3D World Picks Up Best Nintendo Game VGX Award

WanderingPB

@Peach64 Question if a bunch of bitter people post here why do u continue to post and visit the site? Any website based on a console of peference will have those obtuse individuals who will refuse to be logical and listen to reason but there are also those of us who arent also visit and post here as well. Would u be upset if people go to McDonalds and not order a BigMac? I personally like ur objective point of views but my disagreements w/ u start when u talk about WiiU owners stepping up when you yourself dont own a WiiU…i wouldnt tell anyone with a PS4 or XB1 about what games they should buy because that's their choice of games or console.

As ive said b4 great games are great games just like whichever consoles they're on. The days when one person could own 1 console and play every game they want are gone…games sell hardware right? Havent u stated that once there r enough games to justify ur WiiU purchase ur goin to buy one? The same will apply to others and with all consoles.

As for those "bitter" comments...kids will be kids but i do find these kids in all websites not just this one
