Thanks to Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (my GOTY 2016...krazy right) it made me want to try out Persona 5 and cant believe ive neglected this series all these years...so much so i bought Persona 1,2 and 3 on the PSP and P4 Golden on the Vita. i know i went a bit krazy but great games are great games regardless and im thankful i can get a chance to play them now for the first time and P1 has not disappointed especially with that fresh jpoppy sdtk! its insanely catchy battle theme and boss battle are sweet!
oh and i have yet to start Ys 8 Lacrimosa of Dana on my vita as well...so like u my friend i have many games to catch up on with hundreds of hours of greatness awaiting me and thats without a PS4 LMAO!!!
and at the end of the day i will put them all in the waiting room for some Xenoblade Chronicles 2...ive been listing to some of the songs from XC2 on youtube and man its great to have the old team back from the original sdtk...this has been a magnificent year for gaming for me and December 1 cant get here soon enough LOL
@rjejr @JaxonH both of you made excellent points and at the end of the day its all subjective and ultimately we are all going to buy XC2...some sooner rather than later. Ninty NORMALLY doesnt do GOTY edition releases but they have done so randomly in the past so its a maybe but highly unlikely. I remember XCX had DLC in japan and then all that DLC was included in the NA/UK for free on disc so yeah anything is possible and to each their own if u get it launch day or not but i believe the bigger question is will Persona 5 beat XC2 for my game of the year! Ive logged in over 150 hrs in BOTW and 20 hrs (394 moons) in Odyssey and beat both and while both are incredible games Persona 5 on my PS3 blew them away but thats just my personal preference and the only real contender is XC2 because regardless of the expansion pass (more XC2?! hell yeah sign me up!!!) im buying it day 1 on GP! I still play XC yearly just because its my 1 game of all time so anything i can do to support them in giving me more Xeno content and/or another sequel its a done deal for me and no one is going to change my mind ;p
also rjejr just b/c u didnt like the Wii U final releases doesnt mean there werent any my friend...TMS #FE is JRPG gold whether its ur cup of tea or not if u love JRPG the gameplay battles and dungeons here far exceeds the jpoppyness which keeps u away and no ur not too old but u are stubborn...nonetheless TMS #FE is a GEM that i hope gets a sequel on the switch and Color Splash...well being a ninty fan is great but the community animosity really sucks especially when they dismiss good games for petty reasons like Federation Force...but like u said my friend ur one and done when it comes to games and games with a great deal of investment may not be for you anymore but for me i would be because i would rather play a few quality memorable experiences than to play a quantity of “yeah ok sure they are good” games but apples and oranges or should i say DKC tropical freeze and Jax and Daxter LOL!!!
@rjejr ive heard of the bleamcast but never had it. MGS twin snakes for the GCN hooked up with wii component cables makes MGS look impressive though more “explosive action” cut scenes and better kinda sorta gamebreaking aiming...but yeah i still have my dreamcast with the one game that was reason enough to own a dreamcast MvC2...honorable mentions to Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue and RE code veronica...i wonder if the dreamcast controller somehow inspired the Wii U...in a far away dream Sega themselves will create a dreamcast mini and the world will regret letting the dreamcast down...or maybe we’ll get dreamcast games on the switches virtual console!...oh and phantasy star, power stone and canon spike too...so many classics
ive never played Genji anything but overall the PGS looked pretty great and depending on prices i should have a PS4 before Ni No Kuni comes out fingers crossed
im only on Luncheon and have 207 moons under my belt but i must im torn between galaxy and odyssey...Galaxy1 is my favorite and so far Odyssey is remarkable and im having a blast but im not convinced i prefer it to Galaxy1...maybe that will change as i progress but Galaxy1 felt like a true sequel to Mario64 no offense to sunshine
metal gear solid brought me over to the PS1 and was so good i just had to play twice w/ some starfox64and goldeneye in between! 3rd Birthday (PE3) is just not the direction fans of the series wanted kinda like federation force but nonetheless is a good game for what it is. the overdrive mechanics keeps the pace and action going by going from body to body shooting the enemies in the spirit of the overdrive in XCX its a gets even better when u master it and impressive for a psp game
call me krazy but i thought the trailer for that sucker punch game was going to be a new tenchu game...still i agree with what you said im pretty much going to buy all of them except that racing one...that was meh
@rjejr ur really dated urself my friend but yeah i remember even further back when i used switch it up with genesis altered beast and mystic defender and nes super mario and bubble bobble...a healthy game balance is never a bad thing
speaking about parasite eve now that is a game that deserves a proper remake since there are really no survival horror rpgs in the market. but to keep it like the first game since the 2nd was more like a RE2 copy and the 3rd was...well a fun game and impressive for the psp but not really a true Parasite eve game. but i can imagine a true remake kinda like Shadow of the colossus hd which from the conference looked phenomenal

@rjejr hmmm...yeah i understand but there are certain games that regardless of the time i want to complete...for example XC my 1st play through was about 178 hrs but replaying it on the new 3ds i beat it in a little over 70 hrs but that game is just incredible to me and have fun playing it every year...even shorter games like DKCTF i finished collecting everything, beat it even hard mode and all the hidden K levels and beat every K level in time trial ( at one time ranked #5 in 1-K lol) my total play time is 67 hrs and its really a 15 - 20 hr game just ur 1st run no collectables or hidden levels but as u already know that was also a favorite of mine...games that dont really hold my interest i never reach over 5 hrs and those i dont finish but may go back one day but like always im fighting against my own work schedule which is why for me the Switch is like the answer since im rarely home sometimes but im also a collector so my games are kind of like my trophies and i dont trade them in even if i dont like them plus there is always a chance my son might want to give it a shot...in fact if it wasnt for my son i wouldnt have over 200 hrs in MH3U or MH4U because he loved being able to play co-op with me and it was just that better of an experience playing with him than on my own. funny thing is when i play Persona 5 he is juggling persona4 golden on his vita and persona q on his 3ds while we contstantly show each other funny moments of our games and successes since we both know the persona world! my son has made gaming so much more fun and maybe thats why playing long hours doesnt deter me lol! but i do understand ur time is valuable but as long as ur having fun and are happy thats what truly counts my friend
@rjejr i know the struggle is real in my house as well lol! in between juggling my work schedule ive managed to beat mario rabbids last week and still play the local co-op with my son. but when iplay single player lately its my ps3 im on hour 88 in Persona 5 its still my GOTY until XC2 and when im out depending on my mood im juggling Samus returns on my 3ds with FF7 on my vita though honestly all i can think about is persona 5 lol! yeah im in NY as well the tax is tough thats why i usually shop at best buy with the gamers club unlocked like @JaxonH always mentions because u get a discount regardless of when the game comes out unlike amazon now and the points add up so u get a certificate for money off any best buy purchase which is why im paying only $60 for the XC2 LE so thats a easy decision for me to make and that xc2 controller...well its me eating cereal for a week should about cover it...my will is weak my friend lol! Horizon Dawn is without a doubt on my list along with FFxv, valkyria revolution and Ni no kuni 2 i might break and finally get a ps4 pro this year but odyssey and xc2 are a priority. hope you and your family are doing well my friend
@JaxonH thank you my friend...even though i dont comment as much as i used to its always refreshing to read ur sensible perspectives against some of the silliest things the we encounter in this gaming community like the flawed logic of “60 fps is a must to enjoy games” i cant understand it and remember when having fun just playing the game was all that was needed to enjoy the game instead now apparently “criticism” is much more entertaining then actually playing games...or when people are quick to judge Starfox 2 to the “standards” of today while ignoring all the amazingly ambitious things it attempted and became a foundation to other games that people werent even aware of or that even with all its imperfections Starfox 2 is still fun to play...im looking forward to Doom on the switch as well but not even odyssey can top my excitement for Xenoblade Chronicles 2!!!! i know i love mario and am excited but xenoblade for me is like cookies for cookie monster i believe only @rjejr understands me struggle lol!
@rjejr if u can find the XCX startegy guide for like $10 then its an okay read but the guide isnt honestly as useful as you would think or hope...i google or youtube most of my questions and feel like ive slowly become better at the overdrive and online aspects of the game and this is after 160 hrs....how crazy is that huh? take your time i feel i will still come back to this game years from now in fact i play the original Xenoblade yearly but thats just me plus hearing Reyn and Riki always makes me laugh!
BOTW on the WiiU is still very impressive to me but i cant shake how much better it would be if it had full use of the gamepad. i have both versions...why u may ask...well my Wii U library wouldnt have felt complete without it and when i had sent out my switch back to Ninty to check the battery i just played it on the WiiU...the game can be very engrossing so becareful to manage your time! its strange there was a ridiculous amount of wolf link amiibos on sale at toys r us and gamestop and now i havent seen any since BOTW released...once i finish all the botw dlc i will start hard mode im one of thise that feels the amiibo are kinda sorta maybe cheating...well at least for my first playthrough though i must admit wearing Majoras Mask at night is simply amazing! but im also still playing Persona 5 which to be honest is my GOTY so far...i can only imagine odyssey and XC2...this is going to be tough
after i beat the game awhile back i couldnt figure out how to get the materials to build better skells but then i happen to come across a video that explained the process better and now im grinding my way through the global nemesis to get the reward tickets i need in order to buy the pieces i need to build the skell! i was getting my butt handed to me fighting level 80 enemies so i figured its time to upgrade....oh yeah and the zelda DLC is fun...see now we spoke about zelda so this comment is relevant LOL!

im personally happy w/ Ninty E3 as a whole. For me im happy that i got a bunch of games coming this year and next year. But reading some comments its sad some people feel entitled for more or just just want to complain for the sake of complaing about Ninty. Im just happy i have games to play now, XC2 actually releasing this year, Odyssey and of course 2 Metroid games...overall i was also happy with Sony and Microsoft as well...though im not convinced about XB1X but time will tell

LOL! i dont like the philosophy of having to only play 1 game so i always switch it up ;p Persona 5 is when im at home and got a few hours to play, Xeno3D is when im not home and need to relax, Toukiden is one i just started and looks nice and is fun but the combat is a bit repetitive im hoping that may once i upgrade some gear it will pick up or i may just continue playing MH4U, mk8d is for some quick online racing or whenever my son wants to challenge me in 200cc when we are out and about.
Zelda definitely took all my time in March got about 145hrs, 112 shrines, 324 koroks, all memories, master sword, hylian shield, all 4 divine beasts and defeated ganon twice and im only at 42%...i played some Uncharted Golden abyss afterwards and not being able to go and climb wherever i want felt restrictive but i let it go and enjoyed the game for what it is...BOTW will make u look at games differently...but that didnt stop me from going nuts for P5 after LOL! if ps3 didnt P5 i wouldve broke down and finally got a ps4...its that good to me
when my son plays zelda on the switch i play it on the Wii u and Zelda U is obviously not that different from the Switch version i just miss the real gamepad features...really wouldve made it the TRUE final wii u swan song instead of a gimped switch counterpart... i say take ur time no rush but honestly if XC2 really comes out this year....everything must wait! LOL
hope you and you family are all well and im also keeping my fingers crossed that Square will release FF7 remaster for both ps4 and ps5...so u wont go fanboy and buy an overly expensive ps5 at launch
@rjejr sorry i misunderstood you but if im not mistaken arent cloud saves part of being a playstation plus member which requires a fee to use the cloud save? True presently the Switch has no way to transfer or back up save files but honestly thats a system update away just like with the Wii U? None of the 3 are perfect but remember the ps4 didnt launch with all the features it has now and if im not mistaken ur whoorah for ps4 E3 where they showed FF7 made you absolutely get a ps4 that holiday even though we later come to find out its only in its infancy of development but hey at least u get to play for online for which u might not use all the time and free games that disappear if u forget to renew? Im happy with my Switch purchase day one but i also have a ridiculous back log of games that prevents me from ever having a drought...i beat BOTW, and am juggling Persona 5, Toukiden, mk8d, puyo puyo tetris and xenoblade 3d (3rd playthrough)...being a console and handheld gamer means i have patience for my games and no need to aeait for greatness since my game library is already great! LOL!

@rjejr i have to agree with you my friend Playstation and their cross buy titles is what Ninty needs to do especially with their virtual console...being able to play FF7, MGS or persona 3 on my vita and ps3 and only paying once is the best way to reward long time fans instead of nickel and dime us....fingers crossed that Ninty will get it right but i share ur concern
so this is where the rumors for a possible delay came huh?...im very happy BOTW is coming out on launch day and not delayed for this...also from a business stand point it makes sense as the Switch launching w/out BOTW wouldve been disastrous in my opinion...also Day 1 DLC is dlc thats available on launch day when the game releases...why are people calling it day 1 when the 1st pack releases summer 2017?
the years of DLC done wrong has left a bad taste in my mouth because when i hear DLC it makes me feel like its an incomplete game im being sold but Nintendo has never done this nor has their DLC not been worth it to me ( ie; super mario golf, super luigi u, SSB characters + stages, mk8 tracks and hyrule warriors). Nintendo has always given me a good amount of content for my money and been cheaper than that 3rd parties have as well...and lets not forget we got so much Splatoon dlc that was ready to pay after the 1st August update...
people want the company to thrive and continue being succeessful but dont want them to get paid for their hard work??? like the MK8 dlc just wait before you decided to buy if ur not happy...there's no need to cry about it
@rjejr same here my friend im just now finally getting to play FE Fates on my 3ds...i'll trade being younger to just having more time during the day to actually play my games LOL! Being a responsible parent is rough but at least i can have all the cookies i want to eat before dinner so there are at least some perks though at the quick rate my son beats games thats when i really feel old LOL!
@rjejr all those concerns about TMS#FE are valid and understandably so but the gameplay and darker tones of the dungeons, gamepd use and fighting mechanics create a truly fun game and dare i say you will have some of those songs stuck in your head. The trailer doesnt do it justice its totally a hidden gem and Atlus at its finest! I was just as worried as you were but much like Windwaker if you get get over its looks there's a great game and adventure waiting for you...hell even the bromance in FFXV didnt deter longtime fans an open mind leads to evolution my friend which is why FF6 fans are salty about FF7...both are needed and the series grows

@rjejr i can't disagree with that my friend to me its always the games that are the deciding factor to purchase like I waited a year and a half before finally getting a 3ds but the biggest selling point for me is the fact that i can continue my game on the go and based on my hectic work schedule and breath of the wild my day one purchase is more than justified and thats not including all the other games im getting for it...its a nice flow and im good with that but if and thats a big IF XC2 comes out this year Ninty had me at hello...but i cant help but but agree that maybe its Japan getting it this year and we'll get it spring next year...overall im a happy camper in a water proof tent when its raining outside...though those good microsd cards are a bit pricey around the 200gb range which bothers me
@Spoony_Tech im ashamed to say my son and I haven't yet plunged into MHG yet i shouldve jumped on that capcom sale last year and couldve downloaded it for $20 each...we always download MH games because one never knows when one must play MH especially when visiting my relatives! LOL! but on your recommendation i will take the plunge thank you!

My son and I still play it and started playing MP Federation Force...single player the game is okay to good but co-op makes federation force a blast to play with my son especially the puzzles and you get tense moments like Prime! Definitely recommend it co-op!

@Spoony_Tech nothing compelling for you my friend but every launch is different and if im not mistaken the Wii U in Japan launched w/ a MH3G bundle and well we know how well the WiiU did right? honestly any launch would benefit from popular franchises but like ive stated before there are a bunch of people set to get it launch day including myself and my son so feel free to wait but there are a bunch of games appealing to me plus that limited edition Disgaea 5 complete is going to be pretty sweet!

The Switch is Day One for me! When XCX came out on the Wii U it was very frustrating having to wait to come home from work to continue playing especially during the weeks I had a 70hr work week...and I ended up playing XC again on my 3DS while i was on the go until i got home to play XCX...guess u can say i love me some xenoblade!
But now I can play anywhere i want, never having to stop my game and the appeal of that is exactly what ive wanted since the gameboy player on the GCN...I'm ready, my son is ready and i keep replaying the XC2 trailer...if it really releases 2017 my brain might just explode...how about a sequel to TMS#FE on the Switch...the possibilities alone have me counting the days until March 3!
@JaxonH I concur....and especially after hearing how DragonQuest is going to be utilizing the HDRumble so u feel the difference between slicing solid enemies and slime! I can only imagine how else it will be utilized in other games! Definitely much to excited for!
I'm personally excited for the Nintendo Switch and am getting it day 1. The launch window games are really good but if they truly deliver Xenoblade Chronicles 2 this year...the Switch is beyond worth it for me! Also just thinking about the next Monster Hunter, GCN VC, and all the possiblities like Metroid, Fire Emblem, Golden Sun, Advance Wars, Pokemon and DKC...seriously its a great time to be a gamer cause now I never have to stop playing my games because im not home!

Honestly I never use streaming apps on my 3DS because the battery wouldnt last plus having a steady online connection was not always guaranteed everywhere I went...but on my Wi U I have the exact opposite reasons I listed for my 3DS...overall this doesnt affect me because I want to use the Switch primarily to play games especially on the go. I have my iphone, ipad, tv, laptop and computer...why would I want to use the Switch to stream when these devices do the same? I just want to play my Switch games which can't be played on the others...maybe thats their reasoning? It's mine.
Starfox Zero is a good game but once the controls click the games greatness truly shines just like the Wonderful 101 but i also understand its not for everyone and regardless of negative feedback its gotten its all subjective....but i for one appreciate Starfox Zero.
@JaxonH yeah Pikmin 3 truly is a gem! With the wiimote nunchuk and game pad combo I had mastered multi-tasking and would end up getting so much done in 1 day and I beat the game getting all fruit and only losing 198 pikmin...i can't imagine not having that control scheme in the next Pikmin...Nintendo controls have me always spoiled and i guess that's what makes me excited about the NX
i understand that apprently most people didnt like the gamepad...but to me it was fantastic with games that actually took advantage of the idea and well honestly off tv play has given me opportunities to play while my son was watching amazing workd of gumball...i really like the gamepad and the proof to me was when i was playing Metal Gear Ground Zero on my PS3 and i had to pause to use the idroid...with proper support the gamepad couldve changed the way we played vames permanently...still keeping my fingers crossed that BotW has gamepd functionality like XCX
@Yorumi Well i absolutely agree with you about the story part...honestly the lack of story in XCX even with almost 200 hrs made me actually stop playing XCX for awhile and then replay the Original XC on my 3ds...I personally hope there is a good amount of story in BotW so far Skyward Swords story was my favorite even though the original NES LoZ didnt really harp on story...i believe it was for its time it was the first "open world" with the first game w/ the capability to save progress...pretty revolutionary...
Now about "revolutionary" well Nintendo has been revolutionary whether you want to admit it or not...from controller to ground breaking video game experiences...let's not forget how many games have been inspired by or tried to duplicate Ocarina of Time (which for the record is NOT my favorite Zelda). Nintendo is doing what Ninty always does...their own thing. Metroid Prime is a prime example...First Person Shooter uh no...First Person Adventure hell yeah...so when they discuss the differences between "open world" vs "open air" well based on the amount of video game history Nintendo has created and being the big fanboy that i am I believe them and will understand better once im actually playing the game much like the criticism for Metroid Prime...i didnt understand until after I played it...but i also do understand where you are coming from...i just see it things differently my friend

Smosh did a "shocking" interview with Reggie and he mentioned that the E3 gamepad controllers was just a demo build so that most people could understand the games controls at E3 and are not the final controls...so maybe the Wii U gamepad functionality still has hope for BoTW...to be honest WWHD or XCX gamepad functionality will make me very happy

@rjejr I concur...especially with all these Aonuma interviews saying how the gamepad is a distraction to the player and alot of the demo videos showing the player using the tv screen to look at the map and menu options

@rjejr I must admit I felt disappointed that the WiiU wont have its own Zelda and only hope that they consider doing something like LoZ Oracle of Ages and Seasons where both versions are similar but also very different and by completing both you can unlock the true ending regardless of which game your playing...but thats just wishful thinking on my part
I completely agree with your surmise of them revealing the story details along with the NX info and release date. also will be disappointed if they take out gamepad use to accommodate NX...sounds very un-Ninty but still a concern of mine...I'm also a map junkie but love exploration. In XCX if found the ewok bridges in Noctulium before even completing the Chapter where we meet "L" and also died approching that unique monster in the water that appeared to be off line...ah the magic of finding places not on the map! LOL!
I agree xmas is pretty much non-existent for Ninty unless they holding some secret hd remasters of sunshine or thousand year door...I was finally going to break and get a PS4 for Last Guardian but with the ps4k/neo coming next year i might just focus on my backlogs which is why im not as angry or disappointed as most

@rjejr lol that sounds like a good reason to not rush but for me when it comes to Xenoblade im in day 1 and everything else gets placed on the back burner
Thanks to Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (my GOTY 2016...krazy right) it made me want to try out Persona 5 and cant believe ive neglected this series all these years...so much so i bought Persona 1,2 and 3 on the PSP and P4 Golden on the Vita. i know i went a bit krazy but great games are great games regardless and im thankful i can get a chance to play them now for the first time and P1 has not disappointed especially with that fresh jpoppy sdtk! its insanely catchy battle theme and boss battle are sweet!
oh and i have yet to start Ys 8 Lacrimosa of Dana on my vita as well...so like u my friend i have many games to catch up on with hundreds of hours of greatness awaiting me and thats without a PS4 LMAO!!!
and at the end of the day i will put them all in the waiting room for some Xenoblade Chronicles 2...ive been listing to some of the songs from XC2 on youtube and man its great to have the old team back from the original sdtk...this has been a magnificent year for gaming for me and December 1 cant get here soon enough LOL

@rjejr @JaxonH both of you made excellent points and at the end of the day its all subjective and ultimately we are all going to buy XC2...some sooner rather than later. Ninty NORMALLY doesnt do GOTY edition releases but they have done so randomly in the past so its a maybe but highly unlikely. I remember XCX had DLC in japan and then all that DLC was included in the NA/UK for free on disc so yeah anything is possible and to each their own if u get it launch day or not but i believe the bigger question is will Persona 5 beat XC2 for my game of the year! Ive logged in over 150 hrs in BOTW and 20 hrs (394 moons) in Odyssey and beat both and while both are incredible games Persona 5 on my PS3 blew them away but thats just my personal preference and the only real contender is XC2 because regardless of the expansion pass (more XC2?! hell yeah sign me up!!!) im buying it day 1 on GP! I still play XC yearly just because its my 1 game of all time so anything i can do to support them in giving me more Xeno content and/or another sequel its a done deal for me and no one is going to change my mind ;p
also rjejr just b/c u didnt like the Wii U final releases doesnt mean there werent any my friend...TMS #FE is JRPG gold whether its ur cup of tea or not if u love JRPG the gameplay battles and dungeons here far exceeds the jpoppyness which keeps u away and no ur not too old but u are stubborn...nonetheless TMS #FE is a GEM that i hope gets a sequel on the switch and Color Splash...well being a ninty fan is great but the community animosity really sucks especially when they dismiss good games for petty reasons like Federation Force...but like u said my friend ur one and done when it comes to games and games with a great deal of investment may not be for you anymore but for me i would be because i would rather play a few quality memorable experiences than to play a quantity of “yeah ok sure they are good” games but apples and oranges or should i say DKC tropical freeze and Jax and Daxter LOL!!!

@rjejr ive heard of the bleamcast but never had it. MGS twin snakes for the GCN hooked up with wii component cables makes MGS look impressive though more “explosive action” cut scenes and better kinda sorta gamebreaking aiming...but yeah i still have my dreamcast with the one game that was reason enough to own a dreamcast MvC2...honorable mentions to Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue and RE code veronica...i wonder if the dreamcast controller somehow inspired the Wii U...in a far away dream Sega themselves will create a dreamcast mini and the world will regret letting the dreamcast down...or maybe we’ll get dreamcast games on the switches virtual console!...oh and phantasy star, power stone and canon spike too...so many classics
ive never played Genji anything but overall the PGS looked pretty great and depending on prices i should have a PS4 before Ni No Kuni comes out fingers crossed

im only on Luncheon and have 207 moons under my belt but i must im torn between galaxy and odyssey...Galaxy1 is my favorite and so far Odyssey is remarkable and im having a blast but im not convinced i prefer it to Galaxy1...maybe that will change as i progress but Galaxy1 felt like a true sequel to Mario64 no offense to sunshine

metal gear solid brought me over to the PS1 and was so good i just had to play twice w/ some starfox64and goldeneye in between! 3rd Birthday (PE3) is just not the direction fans of the series wanted kinda like federation force but nonetheless is a good game for what it is. the overdrive mechanics keeps the pace and action going by going from body to body shooting the enemies in the spirit of the overdrive in XCX its a gets even better when u master it and impressive for a psp game
call me krazy but i thought the trailer for that sucker punch game was going to be a new tenchu game...still i agree with what you said im pretty much going to buy all of them except that racing one...that was meh

@rjejr ur really dated urself my friend but yeah i remember even further back when i used switch it up with genesis altered beast and mystic defender and nes super mario and bubble bobble...a healthy game balance is never a bad thing
speaking about parasite eve now that is a game that deserves a proper remake since there are really no survival horror rpgs in the market. but to keep it like the first game since the 2nd was more like a RE2 copy and the 3rd was...well a fun game and impressive for the psp but not really a true Parasite eve game. but i can imagine a true remake kinda like Shadow of the colossus hd which from the conference looked phenomenal

@rjejr hmmm...yeah i understand but there are certain games that regardless of the time i want to complete...for example XC my 1st play through was about 178 hrs but replaying it on the new 3ds i beat it in a little over 70 hrs but that game is just incredible to me and have fun playing it every year...even shorter games like DKCTF i finished collecting everything, beat it even hard mode and all the hidden K levels and beat every K level in time trial ( at one time ranked #5 in 1-K lol) my total play time is 67 hrs and its really a 15 - 20 hr game just ur 1st run no collectables or hidden levels but as u already know that was also a favorite of mine...games that dont really hold my interest i never reach over 5 hrs and those i dont finish but may go back one day but like always im fighting against my own work schedule which is why for me the Switch is like the answer since im rarely home sometimes but im also a collector so my games are kind of like my trophies and i dont trade them in even if i dont like them plus there is always a chance my son might want to give it a shot...in fact if it wasnt for my son i wouldnt have over 200 hrs in MH3U or MH4U because he loved being able to play co-op with me and it was just that better of an experience playing with him than on my own. funny thing is when i play Persona 5 he is juggling persona4 golden on his vita and persona q on his 3ds while we contstantly show each other funny moments of our games and successes since we both know the persona world! my son has made gaming so much more fun and maybe thats why playing long hours doesnt deter me lol! but i do understand ur time is valuable but as long as ur having fun and are happy thats what truly counts my friend

@rjejr i know the struggle is real in my house as well lol! in between juggling my work schedule ive managed to beat mario rabbids last week and still play the local co-op with my son. but when iplay single player lately its my ps3 im on hour 88 in Persona 5 its still my GOTY until XC2 and when im out depending on my mood im juggling Samus returns on my 3ds with FF7 on my vita though honestly all i can think about is persona 5 lol! yeah im in NY as well the tax is tough thats why i usually shop at best buy with the gamers club unlocked like @JaxonH always mentions because u get a discount regardless of when the game comes out unlike amazon now and the points add up so u get a certificate for money off any best buy purchase which is why im paying only $60 for the XC2 LE so thats a easy decision for me to make and that xc2 controller...well its me eating cereal for a week should about cover it...my will is weak my friend lol! Horizon Dawn is without a doubt on my list along with FFxv, valkyria revolution and Ni no kuni 2 i might break and finally get a ps4 pro this year but odyssey and xc2 are a priority. hope you and your family are doing well my friend

@JaxonH thank you my friend...even though i dont comment as much as i used to its always refreshing to read ur sensible perspectives against some of the silliest things the we encounter in this gaming community like the flawed logic of “60 fps is a must to enjoy games” i cant understand it and remember when having fun just playing the game was all that was needed to enjoy the game instead now apparently “criticism” is much more entertaining then actually playing games...or when people are quick to judge Starfox 2 to the “standards” of today while ignoring all the amazingly ambitious things it attempted and became a foundation to other games that people werent even aware of or that even with all its imperfections Starfox 2 is still fun to play...im looking forward to Doom on the switch as well but not even odyssey can top my excitement for Xenoblade Chronicles 2!!!! i know i love mario and am excited but xenoblade for me is like cookies for cookie monster i believe only @rjejr understands me struggle lol!

@rjejr if u can find the XCX startegy guide for like $10 then its an okay read but the guide isnt honestly as useful as you would think or hope...i google or youtube most of my questions and feel like ive slowly become better at the overdrive and online aspects of the game and this is after 160 hrs....how crazy is that huh? take your time i feel i will still come back to this game years from now in fact i play the original Xenoblade yearly but thats just me plus hearing Reyn and Riki always makes me laugh!
BOTW on the WiiU is still very impressive to me but i cant shake how much better it would be if it had full use of the gamepad. i have both versions...why u may ask...well my Wii U library wouldnt have felt complete without it and when i had sent out my switch back to Ninty to check the battery i just played it on the WiiU...the game can be very engrossing so becareful to manage your time! @rjejr just created/unlocked the white reaper skell and having a blast so now im going to finish all the affinity missions i never completed...i cant believe i put this game down! ummm my friend i believe "grind" and RPG are synonymous LOL
its strange there was a ridiculous amount of wolf link amiibos on sale at toys r us and gamestop and now i havent seen any since BOTW released...once i finish all the botw dlc i will start hard mode im one of thise that feels the amiibo are kinda sorta maybe cheating...well at least for my first playthrough though i must admit wearing Majoras Mask at night is simply amazing! but im also still playing Persona 5 which to be honest is my GOTY so far...i can only imagine odyssey and XC2...this is going to be tough

after i beat the game awhile back i couldnt figure out how to get the materials to build better skells but then i happen to come across a video that explained the process better and now im grinding my way through the global nemesis to get the reward tickets i need in order to buy the pieces i need to build the skell! i was getting my butt handed to me fighting level 80 enemies so i figured its time to upgrade....oh yeah and the zelda DLC is fun...see now we spoke about zelda so this comment is relevant LOL!

im personally happy w/ Ninty E3 as a whole. For me im happy that i got a bunch of games coming this year and next year. But reading some comments its sad some people feel entitled for more or just just want to complain for the sake of complaing about Ninty. Im just happy i have games to play now, XC2 actually releasing this year, Odyssey and of course 2 Metroid games...overall i was also happy with Sony and Microsoft as well...though im not convinced about XB1X but time will tell

@rjejr i know right? LOL! i dont like the philosophy of having to only play 1 game so i always switch it up ;p Persona 5 is when im at home and got a few hours to play, Xeno3D is when im not home and need to relax, Toukiden is one i just started and looks nice and is fun but the combat is a bit repetitive im hoping that may once i upgrade some gear it will pick up or i may just continue playing MH4U, mk8d is for some quick online racing or whenever my son wants to challenge me in 200cc when we are out and about.
Zelda definitely took all my time in March got about 145hrs, 112 shrines, 324 koroks, all memories, master sword, hylian shield, all 4 divine beasts and defeated ganon twice and im only at 42%...i played some Uncharted Golden abyss afterwards and not being able to go and climb wherever i want felt restrictive but i let it go and enjoyed the game for what it is...BOTW will make u look at games differently...but that didnt stop me from going nuts for P5 after LOL! if ps3 didnt P5 i wouldve broke down and finally got a ps4...its that good to me
when my son plays zelda on the switch i play it on the Wii u and Zelda U is obviously not that different from the Switch version i just miss the real gamepad features...really wouldve made it the TRUE final wii u swan song instead of a gimped switch counterpart... i say take ur time no rush but honestly if XC2 really comes out this year....everything must wait! LOL
hope you and you family are all well and im also keeping my fingers crossed that Square will release FF7 remaster for both ps4 and ps5...so u wont go fanboy and buy an overly expensive ps5 at launch

@rjejr sorry i misunderstood you but if im not mistaken arent cloud saves part of being a playstation plus member which requires a fee to use the cloud save? True presently the Switch has no way to transfer or back up save files but honestly thats a system update away just like with the Wii U? None of the 3 are perfect but remember the ps4 didnt launch with all the features it has now and if im not mistaken ur whoorah for ps4 E3 where they showed FF7 made you absolutely get a ps4 that holiday even though we later come to find out its only in its infancy of development but hey at least u get to play for online for which u might not use all the time and free games that disappear if u forget to renew? Im happy with my Switch purchase day one but i also have a ridiculous back log of games that prevents me from ever having a drought...i beat BOTW, and am juggling Persona 5, Toukiden, mk8d, puyo puyo tetris and xenoblade 3d (3rd playthrough)...being a console and handheld gamer means i have patience for my games and no need to aeait for greatness since my game library is already great! LOL!

@rjejr i have to agree with you my friend Playstation and their cross buy titles is what Ninty needs to do especially with their virtual console...being able to play FF7, MGS or persona 3 on my vita and ps3 and only paying once is the best way to reward long time fans instead of nickel and dime us....fingers crossed that Ninty will get it right but i share ur concern

so this is where the rumors for a possible delay came huh?...im very happy BOTW is coming out on launch day and not delayed for this...also from a business stand point it makes sense as the Switch launching w/out BOTW wouldve been disastrous in my opinion...also Day 1 DLC is dlc thats available on launch day when the game releases...why are people calling it day 1 when the 1st pack releases summer 2017?
the years of DLC done wrong has left a bad taste in my mouth because when i hear DLC it makes me feel like its an incomplete game im being sold but Nintendo has never done this nor has their DLC not been worth it to me ( ie; super mario golf, super luigi u, SSB characters + stages, mk8 tracks and hyrule warriors). Nintendo has always given me a good amount of content for my money and been cheaper than that 3rd parties have as well...and lets not forget we got so much Splatoon dlc that was ready to pay after the 1st August update...
people want the company to thrive and continue being succeessful but dont want them to get paid for their hard work??? like the MK8 dlc just wait before you decided to buy if ur not happy...there's no need to cry about it

@rjejr same here my friend im just now finally getting to play FE Fates on my 3ds...i'll trade being younger to just having more time during the day to actually play my games LOL! Being a responsible parent is rough but at least i can have all the cookies i want to eat before dinner so there are at least some perks though at the quick rate my son beats games thats when i really feel old LOL!

@rjejr all those concerns about TMS#FE are valid and understandably so but the gameplay and darker tones of the dungeons, gamepd use and fighting mechanics create a truly fun game and dare i say you will have some of those songs stuck in your head. The trailer doesnt do it justice its totally a hidden gem and Atlus at its finest! I was just as worried as you were but much like Windwaker if you get get over its looks there's a great game and adventure waiting for you...hell even the bromance in FFXV didnt deter longtime fans an open mind leads to evolution my friend which is why FF6 fans are salty about FF7...both are needed and the series grows

@rjejr i can't disagree with that my friend to me its always the games that are the deciding factor to purchase like I waited a year and a half before finally getting a 3ds but the biggest selling point for me is the fact that i can continue my game on the go and based on my hectic work schedule and breath of the wild my day one purchase is more than justified and thats not including all the other games im getting for it...its a nice flow and im good with that but if and thats a big IF XC2 comes out this year Ninty had me at hello...but i cant help but but agree that maybe its Japan getting it this year and we'll get it spring next year...overall im a happy camper in a water proof tent when its raining outside...though those good microsd cards are a bit pricey around the 200gb range which bothers me

@Spoony_Tech im ashamed to say my son and I haven't yet plunged into MHG yet i shouldve jumped on that capcom sale last year and couldve downloaded it for $20 each...we always download MH games because one never knows when one must play MH especially when visiting my relatives! @Spoony_Tech when your right my friend your right LOL! Did you ever get to try MH4U with your son? My son and I still play it and started playing MP Federation Force...single player the game is okay to good but co-op makes federation force a blast to play with my son especially the puzzles and you get tense moments like Prime! Definitely recommend it co-op!

@Spoony_Tech nothing compelling for you my friend but every launch is different and if im not mistaken the Wii U in Japan launched w/ a MH3G bundle and well we know how well the WiiU did right? honestly any launch would benefit from popular franchises but like ive stated before there are a bunch of people set to get it launch day including myself and my son so feel free to wait but there are a bunch of games appealing to me plus that limited edition Disgaea 5 complete is going to be pretty sweet!

but I concur and believe that it really depends on each individuals situation and whether or not it's financially feasible to get the Switch day one but as for me i managed to somehow fight the temptation to buy the FFXV limited edition PS4 slim this past holiday and just put that money away for the Switch...why u ask...c'mon knowing me that XC2 trailer made me go full stupid into nintendofanboy unlimited overdrive jubilance...and besides i forgot to take my aricept this past month but i like the first reason better

The Switch is Day One for me! When XCX came out on the Wii U it was very frustrating having to wait to come home from work to continue playing especially during the weeks I had a 70hr work week...and I ended up playing XC again on my 3DS while i was on the go until i got home to play XCX...guess u can say i love me some xenoblade!
But now I can play anywhere i want, never having to stop my game and the appeal of that is exactly what ive wanted since the gameboy player on the GCN...I'm ready, my son is ready and i keep replaying the XC2 trailer...if it really releases 2017 my brain might just explode...how about a sequel to TMS#FE on the Switch...the possibilities alone have me counting the days until March 3!

I'm personally excited for the Nintendo Switch and am getting it day 1. The launch window games are really good but if they truly deliver Xenoblade Chronicles 2 this year...the Switch is beyond worth it for me! Also just thinking about the next Monster Hunter, GCN VC, and all the possiblities like Metroid, Fire Emblem, Golden Sun, Advance Wars, Pokemon and DKC...seriously its a great time to be a gamer cause now I never have to stop playing my games because im not home!

Honestly I never use streaming apps on my 3DS because the battery wouldnt last plus having a steady online connection was not always guaranteed everywhere I went...but on my Wi U I have the exact opposite reasons I listed for my 3DS...overall this doesnt affect me because I want to use the Switch primarily to play games especially on the go. I have my iphone, ipad, tv, laptop and computer...why would I want to use the Switch to stream when these devices do the same? I just want to play my Switch games which can't be played on the others...maybe thats their reasoning? It's mine.

Starfox Zero is a good game but once the controls click the games greatness truly shines just like the Wonderful 101 but i also understand its not for everyone and regardless of negative feedback its gotten its all subjective....but i for one appreciate Starfox Zero.
@JaxonH yeah Pikmin 3 truly is a gem! With the wiimote nunchuk and game pad combo I had mastered multi-tasking and would end up getting so much done in 1 day and I beat the game getting all fruit and only losing 198 pikmin...i can't imagine not having that control scheme in the next Pikmin...Nintendo controls have me always spoiled and i guess that's what makes me excited about the NX

i understand that apprently most people didnt like the gamepad...but to me it was fantastic with games that actually took advantage of the idea and well honestly off tv play has given me opportunities to play while my son was watching amazing workd of gumball...i really like the gamepad and the proof to me was when i was playing Metal Gear Ground Zero on my PS3 and i had to pause to use the idroid...with proper support the gamepad couldve changed the way we played vames permanently...still keeping my fingers crossed that BotW has gamepd functionality like XCX

@Yorumi Well i absolutely agree with you about the story part...honestly the lack of story in XCX even with almost 200 hrs made me actually stop playing XCX for awhile and then replay the Original XC on my 3ds...I personally hope there is a good amount of story in BotW so far Skyward Swords story was my favorite even though the original NES LoZ didnt really harp on story...i believe it was for its time it was the first "open world" with the first game w/ the capability to save progress...pretty revolutionary...
Now about "revolutionary" well Nintendo has been revolutionary whether you want to admit it or not...from controller to ground breaking video game experiences...let's not forget how many games have been inspired by or tried to duplicate Ocarina of Time (which for the record is NOT my favorite Zelda). Nintendo is doing what Ninty always does...their own thing. Metroid Prime is a prime example...First Person Shooter uh no...First Person Adventure hell yeah...so when they discuss the differences between "open world" vs "open air" well based on the amount of video game history Nintendo has created and being the big fanboy that i am I believe them and will understand better once im actually playing the game much like the criticism for Metroid Prime...i didnt understand until after I played it...but i also do understand where you are coming from...i just see it things differently my friend

Smosh did a "shocking" interview with Reggie and he mentioned that the E3 gamepad controllers was just a demo build so that most people could understand the games controls at E3 and are not the final controls...so maybe the Wii U gamepad functionality still has hope for BoTW...to be honest WWHD or XCX gamepad functionality will make me very happy

@rjejr I concur...especially with all these Aonuma interviews saying how the gamepad is a distraction to the player and alot of the demo videos showing the player using the tv screen to look at the map and menu options

@rjejr I must admit I felt disappointed that the WiiU wont have its own Zelda and only hope that they consider doing something like LoZ Oracle of Ages and Seasons where both versions are similar but also very different and by completing both you can unlock the true ending regardless of which game your playing...but thats just wishful thinking on my part
I completely agree with your surmise of them revealing the story details along with the NX info and release date. also will be disappointed if they take out gamepad use to accommodate NX...sounds very un-Ninty but still a concern of mine...I'm also a map junkie but love exploration. In XCX if found the ewok bridges in Noctulium before even completing the Chapter where we meet "L" and also died approching that unique monster in the water that appeared to be off line...ah the magic of finding places not on the map! LOL!
I agree xmas is pretty much non-existent for Ninty unless they holding some secret hd remasters of sunshine or thousand year door...I was finally going to break and get a PS4 for Last Guardian but with the ps4k/neo coming next year i might just focus on my backlogs which is why im not as angry or disappointed as most
