Makes more sense than animal crossing. In Zelda cooking is an actual core mechanic and the game actively encourages you to do so.

A TON of talented people and artists work on reimagining classic games like links awakening. Do you believe that they can upscale pixel art into 3D models? Even when it’s built from the ground up like advance wars and uses NONE of the original assets.

You literally wipe out the entire underground and humanity too (it’s implied by undyne). ASGORE only took the souls bc he wanted to go above. Nowhere in the game does it say that they are planning an invasion. In the pacifist run asgore even says he didn’t have a clear idea of what they were even going to do up there when defeated in the pacifist run. Asgore also says that he would be willing to keep you down in the underground if that would make the player happy.

Also it’s literally called the GENOCIDE run. Genocide is always a bad thing.
