The character models and walking motion really remind me of Timesplitters. Are there any shared creators I wonder? Or is it just me...

I was really pleased with my joycon repair. I bought green/pink joycons online from Nintendo UK over 2 years ago but earlier this year my green one would not connect wirelessly. Sent to Nintendo UK for free, they tried to fix it but still didn't work. Sent it back again and they replaced it for a new one. Very happy. Maybe because it was bought direct from Nintendo, but I was impressed with the service.

Finished my third run (VW) and DLC on Fire Emblem Three House. Was planning on starting Xenoblade Chronicles but have gotten distracted by the excellent Dead Cells instead.

But how will it play on Switch? Don't want to get my hopes up...

This looks really.....stressful.

Also going to get Wide Ocean Big Jacket on sale, after hearing about it on Nintendo Power podcast.

Going to finally grab Dead Cells on sale. Never had much truck with rogue likes before but I'm hoping this will be the exception.

@VegasKeith the most approachable is easily BOTW, but as a Dad with limited time myself I can also recommend Witcher 3 as it has generous save system and missions are nicely split into bite sized chunks with loads of freedom to wander off. I've not played Skyrim though so can't comment on that one.

Still playing Fire Emblem 3H (third run) but now with some Bravely Second on the side. Might play Luigi's Mansion 3 next as a break before starting Xenoblade.

Taking a bit of a break from Fire Emblem 3H as I somehow managed to bag a bargain copy of Bravely Second from Argos so I'm dusting off my 2DS. Looking forward to the Switch sequel for this great franchise.

@Krull I'm still waiting patiently for Night in the Woods to go on sale. I just know if I buy it then the next week it'll be 50% off.

I've never really enjoyed twinstick shooters but the absence of the terms "rogue like" or "procedurally generated" make me think this one is worth a shot.

Looks good, really looking forward to getting this as I've never played a bioshock game before.
I would have paid full price £40 to £50 day one release if the physical release was actually on physical media, but now I'll just wait for the inevitable eshop sale. Ho hum.

Wargroove and Banner Saga are highly recommended by me, spent a lot of time with both of those but Wargroove has the most replayability.

Some tempting offers on some really good games but not enough for me to add to my massive backlog, especially since I just bought Xenoblade Chronicles (physical).

@nhSnork the deal appeared in my news feed, but even when I went on the publisher's site I couldn't find any details. I've got Lydia and now EQQO, not sure if any other games are included.

Going to get Xenoblade but probable next month as too many bills this month.
FYI I got "EQQO" for free on the eshop today as an offer for anyone who bought the game Lydia.

Still going with my maddening Golden Deer/Ashen Wolves run in FE3H. Seriously thinking about ordering Xenoblade even though I'll be playing FE for at least another month. Never played one before but the more I hear the more I like the sound of it.

I don't mind digital, but these big downloads basically mean if you buy the cart you get the negatives of digital with the negatives of physical and none of the positives of either medium. So I consider this as only available digitally, which is their choice (but for info I would have bought physical day 1, now I'll wait for digital sale but thats just me).

I voted for Japan, lovely art and reminds me of Cowboy Bebop which can only be a good thing.

I've never played a Xenoblades game, would people recommend playing this before XC2? Or XC2 first? Strange question but I'm worried I'll be spoilt with XC1 and not enjoy the sequel as much? Or are they best seen as separate games?

FE3H. I finished the DLC side story so now starting my first NG+ run with a new house. Let's see if Golden Deer can compete with my first house (Black Eagles). Not really fair on Golden Deer as I've already decided to make room for Anna and all four of the Cindered Wolves.

Thanks for the heads up, I think my 9 year old will get some enjoyment out of this. Not sure if it will help her finances but worth a try.

I thought it was holding B, not A? But it has been a long long time since I played SMB so my memory might be letting me down.

Just started the DLC for FE3H after a suitable break. Once I finish the side story I have 2 houses left, thinking Golden Deer next and save Blue Lions for another time.

My most relaxing game is Gris.
Most stressful game for me is Dark Souls Remastered. That game literally gave me palpitations, the stakes are high if you die and it demands 100% concentration all the time.

Looking forward to this, last played Burnout on gamecube and it was the only game my GF (now my wife) would play. Really hope it runs well, please don't break my rose tinted glasses.

Saw the movie with my young kids and we all loved it. It would be great to see a sequel with Tails in, they left the door open so would be really surprised if it never got one.

Just finished the DLC campaign. The co-op nature of it (I played on my own) really works well as you feel more spread out and can't rely on too many big expensive units as your funds are separate. This was a 10 before the free DLC, now an 11! Can't recommend it enough.

How about improve NSO with bigger/newer games but maybe only have them in rotation for say 3months at a time? Imagine the buzz online that everyone is suddenly playing N64 mario kart because they know it'll rotate out in 3months. This could run in parallel to a virtual console service to buy your favourite games if you want.

@Mince I started with the hunter, but kept Therion in my team the whole time for chests. Everyone else I swapped around to mix things up and try and keep everyone at nearly the same level. Loved this game, hoping Bravely Default 2 comes sooner rather than later.

Just tinkering with post game for Ni No Kuni, then I will go back and do the DLC for either Witcher 3 or finally get the paid DLC for FE3H. So many great games.

Great review, any indication how long this game is? I can forgive repetitive combat but not once it steps over the 20-30hour mark.

Still going on Ni No Kuni but might have a break for either Hellblade or Gris (both of which I bought in the current sale).

Hellblade for me, missed it last time it went on sale and looks like no physical on the horizon. Maybe Sonic Mania, but does it include the DLC?

Really looking forward to this. Loved the first one but sadly missed Bravely Second. If I had more time to play I would def go back to my 2DS for it, but too many great Switch games to play.

How about Anodyne? Currently on deep sale and looks interesting.

I have never played a FF game. I like most RPGs, any recommendation where to start?

HD remake of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.

I would love Sunshine or Galaxy double pack on Switch. Never played Galaxy 2 and I feel I've missed out.

@Shinnos well that's a pain for me. I mainly play handheld so these would be a novelty and not see much use. I really like the look and feel of the NES controller but over £30 for a novelty if just too much!

£8.50 delivery! Well that's saved me £25 then!

Nothing fot me but that's fine. Still got to finish Witcher 3. Then to start Ni No Kuni and the FE:3H DLC and a handful of indies. Such a good quality backlog at the moment.

My favourites are still the GBA ones. I have all these games except the GC PoR (man I wish I picked that up back in the day) but I find myself returning again and again to Blazing Blade and Sacred Stones.
