Playing through Resident Evil Revelations 2 and enjoying the main campaign, but not sure if I'll go back for all the collectibles with so many good games in my backlog (Hollow Knight, Steamworld Dig 2 and Into the Breach are calling me, as well as BOTW DLC. So many games so little time)
Banner Saga 3 then I might go back and finish Resi Revelations 2 before I have to archive it to make room for all these new titles I need in my collection (21gb!).
@ShaiHulud totally agree, it really makes you emotionally involved which adds to the high stakes. I'm trying to hold off Wargroove until I've finished part 3 as I want to see it all through first
Just starting Banner Saga 2. Really enjoying the mix of battles and narrative choices and very refreshing to play a game with no black or white choices, just hard decisions that make you more atrached to the characters and story.
Finally started Banner Saga. Must admit I wasn't sure about it at first, but now I'm about halfway through Vol 1 and I am absolutely hooked and loving it.
I like digital and physical but this is a way of taking money from people who want to buy physical but without giving them what they want. Clutter and inconveniece of changing carts with the mandatory download and need to buy extra storage. The definition of "the worst of both worlds!"
Glad to see Octopath on this list, this and Dark Souls Remastered were my top two time sinks for 2018 by a long way although I also played more shorter indie titles than ever before.
Finishing octopath (the ending ending) is taking linger tgan expected, had to go back and level up a bit. Hoping to finish this weekend so I can start either Banner Saga, Hollow Knight or BOTW DLC.
Going back to finish Octopath which has sadly been neglected since starting and now finally finishing Dark Souls for the first time (90+ hours). Once I've finished Octopath I think I'm going to start either Banner Saga or Into The Breach.
Virtual console is the number one one port I would like to see. Just transfer it all over complete and I will happily throw money at Nintendo for many months and years to come!
I tend to go physical for single player games that I'll want to play again in 5 or 10 years time. Currently this is Mario Odyssey, BOTW, Octopath and Dark Souls. I like to keep my consoles and a few select games for myself and maybe to share with my kids and don't want to rely on eshop or digital storage.
Planning on finishing Dark Souls in the next week or so. Waiting to start Hollow Knight soon but I might change the pace a bit and go for Banner Saga first.
@Carnictis I've not played any other versions but I'm really loving it. Great options to suit different playstyles. Runs perfectly and I mainly play handheld. The closest thing to it that I've played would be Monster Hunter.
So much back log, not enough time. Will be continuing Dark Souls, but feeling guilty about not finishing Octopath. Also got Hollow Knight and now Steamword Dig 2 and BOTW expansion just waiting for me to find extra hours in the day! A nice problem to have I suppose.
Not signed up yet, I rarely play online and have too much of a backlog to play NES right now. Now if Nintendo would only release some concrete plans for future services and/or other platforms then I am sure they would shift a lot more consoles to those who are on the fence about what to get for Xmas.
My dark souls physical arrived yesterday so will be starting that tonight. Was hoping to finish octopath (1 final chapter left then post-game) but I think trying dark souls for the first time will be too hard to resist.
Do developers/publishers not realise how much a part download puts people off? I would have bought full price at launch if it was all on physical, but now I'll wait and MIGHT buy it on eshop when it goes on sale, depending on my backlog.

Continuing Banner Saga 2 at the moment, hopelessly hooked and looking forward to finding out how number 3 ties it all together

"A winner is blu" makes me smile but I'm honestly not sure if this is self aware humour or simply low production values.

@Danito Wise words, thanks
Re: Nintendo Goes Discount Crazy With More Than 600 Games Now On Sale In Europe
Lots of good options here. Think I am most tempted by Banner Saga. Now do I just get number 1 to test the water or jump in for the whole trilogy?

Really interested in Viviette, starting to line up games to play when I finally finish Dark Souls in the next week or so

Tempted for zelda expansion pass as this is probably the cheapest it will ever go.

Totally engrossed with Dark Souls and will be for quite some time

Dark souls. I think this game will be taking up a lot of my time for many weeks to come.

Great news, loved all three of these on gamecube and will definitely triple dip to get RE4 on switch.
