@jimi Why are you upset with Nvidia? All they are doing is providing the innards of the machine. It's Nintendo who have decided to abandon two screen gaming, tbh I'm not that bothered. Yes there were some cool uses of dual screens but not that many and you seem to be mostly interested in typing text which is a minor need in most games. Hardly worth including another screen just for that.

Got mine this morning. Book in for Sat am. Can't wait!

@therealgamer Are you for real? The Wii U is finished bar a few indie releases that have been scheduled for a while next year and botw is there just to placate anyone who bought a Wii u just for that game.

I am and will always be a massive fan of the Wii u but I do not share this feeling of sadness. I've enjoyed playing it and have great games but it seems natural that it has run it's course. I am now completely ready for something new and I feel similarly to how I did with the Gamecube which had a similar lifespan, although I am more excited for the Switch than I was the Wii.

@shaneoh perhaps they have spent a long time trying to overcome the difficulties on Wii u and have now realised they can't get it to work? Who knows but assuming that they didn't want to get it on Wii u isn't fair

Really pleased. I'm sure some who backed it on Wii u will feel let down but it doesn't make any sense to put it out on that platform. Hopefully it won't be too far behind the other versions

The timing of everything to do with the Switch has not been kind for this game. I was looking forward to the game but I will have moved on to the Switch by the time it comes out and I will not be digging all that stuff out to play it. Hopefully there will be a Switch version

As to be expected. I think AM2R was impressive but Pokemon uranium looked really bad and just reused old assets in an ugly way.

Far too many ports, should only be 5 max in first year. I understand that they are trying to get more out of these games but it seems a bit much for the first few months. Makes me wonder what Nintendo's development teams have been doing all this time as I thought the lack of Wii u software over the last couple of years was due to them creating new switch games.

@dew12333 I'm a massive Nintendo fan too but I don't see how games from other companies being available affects you in any way.

This is poor. Reporting on speculation from some random person on reddit just because a couple of the things mentioned vaguely line up with what your sister site reported, a report which is looking more shaky as time goes by, is disappointing.

This could be the same article for Sony and Microsoft. Ps1 -102, Ps2 -155, Ps3 -84, Ps4-43, psp -82, psvita -13. Xbox -24, Xbox360-84, xboxone-20 all have risen and fallen and the numbers are currently all declining from what has gone before. Maybe the nx will be the next one to sell around 100million

@Tsurii I know that but I still find it a little strange that there are so many 3ds titles due to come out in the first half of next year if a new handheld is coming right in the middle of all these games. Even the DS with it's massive install base had very few big titles released once the 3ds was around.

As someone who buys almost all of my games physically my nintendo is virtually useless. The rewards on offer hardly give an insentive for me to change to buying digitally anyway. I much preferred club nintendo

This is ok but the part where it says that wiimotes can be used for some multiplayer games just sounds like the messy Wii u messaging all over again. Also that part seems contradictory to what kimishima said about the nx moving away from the Wii brand

Like many others I feel better about this game the more I see. That previous haunted mansion footage looked cool and as long as the battle system is less restrictive than sticker star it should be pretty good. It's not quite the paper mario I want but not as disappointing as it first appeared

But almost all of these are just updated games that came out on the Wii u. While I like all these games I would be a lot more excited to play games from franchises that we have seen in the last few years such as f zero, metroid and full 3d Mario

I don't like the concept so whatever design it takes is not going to excite me. I'm just waiting for Nintendo to reveal the real nx

@aaronsullivan well I guess it would mainly be when they said this is a new way to play and that they worried about other companies stealing their idea. This is not a new way to play as it is simply a handheld that can connect to a tv, which has been done before. This does nothing special or new so does not have any value to their competitors. I can see nothing in this rumour that fits with those two statements.

Looks really cool and has a nice unique type. I hope they aren't going to reveal almost every new pokemon like they did with x and y though

I'm pretty sure I've seen these before so this is nothing new. The thing I'm not getting from this hybrid idea that everyone seems so sure about is the new way to play and unique idea that Nintendo keeps mentioning. This has been talked about for so long now that if that's what the big hook is it will be a bit of a damp squib.

Star Fox is much better the more times you go back. The controls are still not perfect but I had a lot more fun when I went back and learnt how to play it better. I plan to go back to pikmin 3 again soon, haven't really touched it since I finished the single player 3 years ago but did like it a lot. The drought before NX is good for checking out neglected Wii U games again

@KTT I don't agree at all about them looking like they are from different franchises, as I said before there have been different styles throughout the franchise and these don't seem so out of place compared to the rest. You could argue that there is a unifying element in the design of bruxish's teeth to the tail head on Girafarig from gen 2. It is a fallacy that gens 1 and 2 have the best designs or are different in style to the rest of the pokemon, it is likely that they are thought of more highly from nostalgia or people simply being more familiar with them than later designs. I have been a fan since the beginning and appreciate all the designs whether I like them or not.

@KO-Cub I don't see how any of these actually do, maybe the fish just because of the teeth, but as I expected you didn't have a real answer. Pokemon incorporates a wide variety of design styles and influences, always has, and they are unified by Ken Sugimori's art style.

I really like how out-there some of these designs are. I've never had a problem with some of the more "ugly" pokemon. The fish is hilarious.
