Re: Rumour: Voice Acting Audition Hints At Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Sequel

Uzuki

I'm down for more TMS content. Give the series a chance to shine, before dismissing it. I loved how they took usual crossover formula and did something different with the franchises rather then just making a Devil Survivor spin-off with FE elements. With TMS they found a common ground for both series to stand on and shine their best qualities.

Re: International Game Developers Association Issues Critical Statement Over Nintendo and Alison Rapp

@97alexk Because they thought she had something to do with the localization and censoring of Xenoblade and Fire Emblem. She's a Public Representative and had nothing to do with it, when in fact she's the complete opposite and was one of the loudest ones yelling against censoring them. But she insulted some of them in the argument and GG went digging through her social media records. What they found was lingerie photos and her arguments on child sexual agency on her twitter account that was linked to the official Nintendo account. And if we're to believe some of GG commenters then she also did racier photos with Nintendo products and moonlighted as a camgirl.

Re: My Nintendo and Its Rewards Are Live

I gotta say I like the layout so far. Basically the discounts and games act more like a bonus to your regular purchases, rather then another way to just buy them. It's mainly for the casual or people who are just catching up with Nintendo rather then the rest of us who've been buying and playing these since they came up. Although I do wish the discount was across the entire eshop rather then specific title. I already have all those game (And I bought them at full price...) so a 40% coupon on everything but newly released games would be a better incentive for both old players and Newcomers so we all would have options.

Re: Review: Miitomo (Mobile)

@zool Well if you want to use that analogy then when you call the plumber then you are asking for their PROFESSIONAL opinion. Now it's up to YOU to know which opinion to go with: Your friend or the professional?

As for the app itself: Meh. I have friends who are going to try it, but I'm not much of a internet social user. I've had a Facebook for 8 years now and I've only posted 6 posts in those years. I perfer to have my human interactions in actual reality then on a phone app.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates Fan Translation Project Shuts Up Shop

Uzuki

There really isn't much point to translating it. Most of the dialogue, outside of Japanese suffixes like kun or san, is word for word the same. An example is Effie: in the English version she talks a lot about getting strong so she can protect Elisse. In the Japanese version she usually says she wants to get strong because she doesn't want to be weak like when she was a kid and then will add wanting to protect Elissa in her B or A conversations. Camillia's conversations with everyone is the exact same outside of they replaced "Ufufuf" with "Hehehe" .There really isn't a reason to play the JP version unless you REALLY need to kiss your 3DS screen or See the sexier swimsuits on the female characters. Because you can still get the swimsuits in this one. For the younger characters you can't see as much belly or thigh skin and there's practically no cleavage. But characters like Camilla and Charlotte are there in all their glory.

Re: Video: Relive The Hype With This Japanese Smash 4 DLC Trailer

Uzuki

@ASonic3582 That's why Robin is the best. Everyone loves Robin. Yeah I think the vocal minority forget that first and foremost that Smash is a japanese game made for the Japanese public in mind. That goes for any game that comes out of Japan. Fire Emblem is popular in the public eye even to the casual consumer. It makes sense that A FE character takes one of the last slot in the DLC roster. FE sales like hot cakes now.

But I'm hyped for the final round of DLC. And the amiibo to follow afterwards. Life is incomplete with an Bayo statue in it.

Re: Shovel Knight amiibo Delays Continue in the UK, With Amazon Listing it for 8th January

Uzuki

@rjejr I think your putting too much emphasis on what the figure DOES rather then what it IS: A cheaply priced quality figurine that happens to work with some video games. Where else am I going to get an officially licensed and nicely detailed Shulk statue without paying $250 for an $80 statue on Ebay or commissioning one from a professional for double that price? I've payed $13 for the Ness Amiibo and I couldn't care less if it worked for anything else outside of Smash. I will NEVER get the chance to have something like that for a character that isn't popular in Nintendo's eyes. This is the only way that we're going to get some kind of physical object of our favorite characters.

Also for everyone complaining about Co-op being locked behind the figure, ask yourself this: Do I REALLY want to play a level at the same time with someone else? A game that prides itself on tight platforming and fast pace action? Being played with another player on the screen blocking landing spots, moving faster/slower then the other player, and God forbid, players able to interact with each other. It'll be the NSMB games all over again. It's a novelty mode. Something to be played once with a buddy, laugh at how you screwed each other over multiple times, and never touched again.

Re: Microsoft Gets Cute About Possible Rare Replay Release On Wii U

Uzuki

I would love for this to happen. Perfect Dark and Conker's Bad Fur Day are worth the entry price alone. Although I HIGHLY doubt we would see this outside Xbone bringing it to the Wii U/NX sometime next year would probably give the game a bigger boost in sales, because that's where the target audience is.

Re: Yacht Club Games Unveils Full Details of Shovel Knight amiibo

Uzuki

I doubt this stuff is going to be exclusive to the amiibo for long. They'll most likely have it up to the amiibo for a month or two, then release this stuff as paid DLC or the more likely option of a patch minus leveling shovel knight. The amiibo itself isn't locking seriously important stuff that makes or breaks the game. So far amiibo haven't locked anything important from a player outside of trivial costumes for MK8 and some challenges in Splatoon that no one really cares about.

Re: Wii U Version Of Indivisible Not Possible, But NX Is Up For Consideration

Uzuki

I think everyone needs to calm down. Technically the game CAN run on the Wii U. What it CAN'T do is run optimally on Wii U. And for an action RPG that has a platforming gameplay and battle system that relies heavily on timing, every frame counts. Unfortunately, as much as I hate to say this, power wise the Wii U would have trouble keeping the game going at a solid 60fps. Remember it's BARELY more powerful then a PS3 and Lab Zero/505 Games are more of PC developer then a console one so they wouldn't now how to get the best out of the simple architect that is the Wii U. There's more going on then just running 2D animation. There's a whole process that goes on while a game is running and gamers, understandably, forget that.

Re: Talking Point: Super Mario Maker's Update Continues Nintendo's Focus on Major Games as Services

Uzuki

I'm loving the way how Nintendo is handling DLC. All of it looks like post made content rather then stuff that was already finished, but cut to sell later. It's not needed to fully enjoy or complete the gaming experience, just expand upon it. And it's all reasonably priced. A good example is Mario Kart 8: Three new Cups, 8 characters, New Skins for Yoshi and Shyguy, and 12 new courses all for $12.

Re: Koei Tecmo is Planning Another Major Collaboration With a Western IP

Uzuki

I would love to see a Dragon Ball (No Z) game. For one after seeing Akira Toryama's work in HD glory I can see it really working well with DB Universe. Plus it would give secondary characters like Krillin and Yamcha a chance to shine.

I think Nintendo would be dumb to not have a warriors game made after another IP. Like others have said Fire Emblem basically screams warrior gameplay. Just add the tower defense mechanics from Dragon Warriors and increase enemy grunt AI, or at least make animations so they LOOK like they're having a epic battle with your grunt units, and it would be perfect.

Re: Japan's Upcoming Splatfest is Between Love and Money

So it comes down to this. The question that breaks down the fundamental elements that drives the human race down the road of modern evolution. Love or Money. The Spiritual or The Physical. Lust or Power. A question that will either unite us or tear us asunder. The only way to solve this human dilima is through..........TURF WAAAAAARSSSS!!!!!!

Re: The Current Final Fantasy Director Would Like A Chance To Work With The Zelda Series

Uzuki

Yesh everyone calm down. It's not the end of the world if the Zelda series decided to step out of it's comfort zone every once in a while. Not saying it has to be a turn base that focus on Link and Zelda, But what if it focused on a new set of characters that was based around the Zelda lore. I LOVE the Zelda series, but I'm ok if Nintendo decides to break the monotony of their franchises here and there. Remember Mario Rpg? I'm sure if the Internet was around then people would have been losing their minds! "Ewww turn base combat? That's not my Mario game!", "NINTENDO STOP RUINING MY CHILDHOOD WITH THIS TRASH!", "That's it, I'm done supporting Mario games." etc, etc. It's ok to change the formula every now and again. I'm sure some people would like to do other things other than get Master Sword, complete the seven temples, defeat Gannon, End.
