@faint It depends on the fighter and how much detail Sakurai puts into the character and a brief history of the character in question.

@SeantheDon29 They could also do other characters from the Final Fantasy series like Squall or Wakka. It doesn't have to be focused on 7 you know.

@shoeses True, but mind you those were on the GBA/DS era. I'm willing to bet that they would remake them for Switch to appeal to the fans of that particular series.

I would like to think that we would get news on the Pokemon Snap remake, and possibly a remake of Ruby and Sapphire. Personally, if they do remake one of the classic titles like Gold and Silver for example I would like for them not to use the Let's Go formula. While nice I think most players would prefer the classic method of catching Pokemon.

Did they not learn anything from their fighting stick in terms of design and number of games?

3 minutes is not enough. So more than likely we're going to get the trailer but nothing detailed, then Sakurai would announce the date for the Smash Direct and on that day announce that the character would be out on that day.

@Yosher How about improving said AI so that they could actually heal their Pokemon or Cheer when they fall? I mean you and I have had AI teammates that frustrates you because of the fact that they don't do that when you needed it.

@mariomaster96 It was the sheer number that was annoying. Don't get me wrong, using the premise to find missing Pokemon is a good way to explore the Island but 151 is excessive despite the rewards involved.

@Patendo The Diglett Hunting was the most annoying part though since you had to look carefully to spot the three hairs. Hopefully they don't do something like that for Crown Tundra.

I believe it to be legitimate. This has happened in the past and it would not surprise me if Nintendo announces a new Direct and we'll get the Fighter announced during said Direct.

@elias84631 Not going to happen. Characters from JJBA are from Manga and Anime, and Sakurai stated that all DLC will be from video games so no Jojo, Goku or Naruto will be joining Smash.

The main website stated November so more than likely that sometime next month we may get a Pokemon Direct about the Crown Tundra.

I'm surprised that we didn't get a Cat Luigi, Cat Toad or a Cat Bowser.

For a moment I thought it would be a sequel.

It may not be an actual Direct but I'll take what I can get until the next Smash fighter is announced, or information on the Crown Tundra for Pokemon whichever comes first.

We need a Commander Keen Collection. I'm probably not the only one who thinks this.

@JayJ More than likely just stalling until they make a new theme event or an update for the game allowing for more themes.

We could get a Spirit event at least. Considering that the "No Spirits" rule was broken the odds of Overwatch characters coming to Smash is slim at best.

@BoyfriendOfDeath They need time to render the art from the game, and decide on what the Spirits in question can do. They did the same thing when Pokemon Sword and Shield came out.

It wouldn't be surprise me if they do a Paper Mario: The Origami King event in the near future.
