I have the game and the motion control is actually really good with a lot of finesse. Almost as good as Wii Sports! And the sound and graphics are sharp and look good. Very pure Bowling with some decent mini games.
So for me at least this is a good replacement for Wii Sports Bowling. And the touch controls in handheld are great and since it is using Tate-mode you get a nice and large view of the lane.
Game of all Games for me this year, was really hard to skip the PC and PS4 version in favor of the Switch release, but after playing the demo I know it was worth it.
Marvelous game! And playing on Nintendo Switch this really showcase HD Rumble, it really feels like playing on a real pinball. On other platforms it is just a rumble here and there. And since it runs at 60fps and allows vertical play it is easy to pick Switch over PS4 or Xbox One.
@locky-mavo I love the game on PC, (review played it for a swedish site) but there is performance problem on both PC and PS4. And the resolution is said to be extremly low on Switch... probably why they refused to give out any review codes for Switch before launch.
Sounds logical to pull that trick to get more subscribers and to make sure that those that already subscribe will continue to do so. NES games is not enough to carry the momentum anymore...
Great games! But in the footage from E3 2019 it looks awful, with smeared out sprites in what looks like a Eagle-filter. I do hope this is something you can decide yourself...
@TempOr That is correct, only PS4-keys was given out to media. Seem like the PC-version is in a quite bad shape and Switch is of course downgraded. So was probably I wise decension businesswise!
Now I played the PC and Switch versions for some hours and Switch version is actually quite ok in terms of visuals and handles well enough. Was to quick before to bash it!
The Switch version is horrible compared to the other version, FPS are mostly below 30 fps and the graphics is really bad. Urban Trial Playground is a better choice on Nintendo Switch, with much better game play which is the most important in the end. I enjoyed that game quite alot, but Trials is no no on Switch!
Truly fantastic game! I think the campaign is very entertaining and not to hard nor easy.
There are some bugs the editor, like when using certain sound effects like large explosion, it crashes the Cut scene editor back to Map editor.
And some issues with dragons z-index in Cut scene editor, where sometimes it does hide characters behind it and sometimes not, and that happens randomly with or without Block checked. In my case it was a farmer that was behind and in front of the emberwing.
Review playing it now for a swedish gaming site, and I must say that this game is a true and shining gem. It takes the best from Fire emblem and Advance War and make it their own. Loads of stuff to do and a really decent AI. Love the graphic style to!
When Ski Lifts Go Wrong is not very good. Played for a week now and the difficulty is forced since you have to build everything with very short parts. So everything looks like made by tooth picks, and it makes it difficult to build, not because the solution is hard to figure out, but due to the before mentioned problem.
Quite odd with such a low score if you consider that NL is known for high grades. Logic states that this game is one of the worst games the reviewed for Nintendo Switch!
So much negativity! Do not forget that it is actually a specialized Joy Con with fairly advanced tech inside. I think the price is fair and I am certainly excited to use it.
So you complain about the cost of the cardboard? Yet you get plenty of fun games with loads of possabilities, nice models to build and enjoy the process, excellent interactive lessons on how to build them and loads of nice information how it works behind the cardboard.
And the wheel and pedal also works in Mario Kart 8.
If you enjoy building things you´ll get like 10-15 hrs of fun just getting it all togheter and then all the games etc.
In my book it is great value if you are the target group for those Kits!
Really like it, have that special feeling and depth to the gameplay and progression is rewarding. Gyro aiming is spot on and so far my MP online games was smooth. Also bot support both locally and on internet with progression is nice.
It is kind of sad how people complain on the price, you get much fun out of it and servers are not free to maintain.
Played around 7 hrs so far and really have loads of fun. It is smart, fun and looks great. Every scenario is different and has its own music that fits nicely. There is so much to do both in single and multiplayer. Runs smooth in native res at mostly 60fps and looks and feels really polished, for the asking prive it is a steal in my opinion!
@Supadav03 Not really fair! Switch version has no iap and plays like a console game. Where the mobile version is riddled with iap and depending on mobile looks less good.
The game is so much fun and I think 9.99$ is a fair price.
I have the game since launch and it is tons of fun with some friends or family. You can pick any games in any order to accommodate the time you have to play or play a full 10 sport contest. Most sports is requiring strategy and they are quite diverse, but some like the basketball game is standing out as extra fun. Played that one alone for quite a few hours during these week.
There is full of small animated animals and loads of cool details that brightens the mood.
A really nice party game like in the 80´s!
I do think this is a low score if you consider Nintendolifes in general quite high scores for worse games!
This game is such a big surprise for me, went from looks funny to damn this is glorious sushi-ass-kicking good. Bought it yesterday and having so much fun. The story is really funny and well made, the gameplay is really deep with 100 sushi sprites to collect and the graphics has a nice style and make for a top notch presentation. 9/10 in my book
I´m reviewing playing it right now and this is indeed a quite unique game. The feeling with the gyro in the Joy-Con and the HD Rumble makes the game a tad more difficult but also more rewarding, but most of all for the first time in this series you actually rotate the object in a natural way. You can also use the gamepad or touch. The biggest challange is to use as little rope as possible to colour the object 100%.
@mowerdude Well, seems like those good deals ain't available at the moment. Cheapest I found was like 56$ at G2A. And in the rest of the world they rarely go for less then like 50$. So like 20$ as a recommended retailer price sounds nice.
Why complain? 20$ nothing for a year, if that to much for some to pay, then you better ask your parents to pay it. Cloud saves, VC-games and a decent online service is certainly worth it.
I feel very little about mobile phone Nintendo games, I prefer ”real” Nintendo games on the Switch or 3DS. I rather pay like 50 € and get the full game without micro transactions. Also on my Switch I wont get notifications, SMS, Facebook messages and other thing that disturb my gaming experience.
If I consider all the fun I had so far with my kids and on my own, it is really a 10/10 for me. The Discover-section is really nice and underestimated. Just did the RC and the House and I already think it was worth the price.

To bad the game is a tad shallow when it comes to combat. It can be quite exciting if you play against a decent human player.
Just wished that the characters was more different combat wise, now I can just pick any girl and use the same moves to win.
Re: Review: Sid Meier's Civilization VI - Conquer The World On The Move In This Superb Port

Re: Soapbox: Why I Prefer Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate To World
I agree to 95%, Worlds lacks some core parts that I love about the series.
Cleaner less cluttred worlds where focus is in on the hunt.
Quirkyness. World have it but not as much and works better in a less realistic setting.
Zones makes the tracking a challange but not to much. World is totally guided or not at all.
Loading times, World takes forever compared to MHGU to start hunting. And more walking simulation do to bigger city.
And in general: The amount of content in MHGU is staggering and it keeps giving even after several 100 hrs.
