@SmaggTheSmug UI is ok, just a tad to small text in combat (handheld) but they already improved it. I think it´s better than the UI in DD. It has some quirkyness but it is a nice game!
I have it and enjoying it very much. The writing is funny and the actual story hold up well. Combat is satisfying and quite deep, with lots of choices. Performance is very good and loading times when installed to the internal memory is good.
The devs are is very responsive and listen to customer feedback. And it fits well to handheld, albeit some in combat text is a tad to tiny.
It is really quite a nice game with loads of fun to be had. I have played it for review purpose the last few days and having a blast. It runs in native 720p and upscaled to 1080p in docked mode.
Framerate is unlocked and scales over a range of 30-50fps. All according to the devs. Certainly is a perfect fit for handhelds and the loading times are short with instant retrys.
I love the joy you feel when you play it, the stunning graphics with so much small details and the nice use of HD Rumble. But I hope they can add higher difficulties for the story mode, certainly must be fairly easy, maybe just up the damage the enemies does and lower the help from the ai players.
Have all those top seller and loads more, Nintendo certainly are doing very well. They will absolutely rule 2018 with great first and third party releases. I do think we will also see Wii games in HD, Wii Sports-style game, Super Smash Brawl and Mario Maker 2D or 3D!
Looking forward to this one! It’s a very good mobile game and the switch version will be even better for sure. The studio behind it is very experienced in making car games for consoles, with 20 years plus in this industry. They made games like NFSD: Porsche Unleashed and Test Drive Unlimited. The driving feels great on my iPad and even better with my controller connected.
I firmly believe this will be the best Mario game ever! Looks amazing and even the small mini games are looking really funny and with leaderboards. I’m in love. Totally Cap-tivating!
Nintendolife, please do say something about the rumble or lack of it. It’s a very special feature on the Switch and really enhances the feeling when it used properly. Really something you rarely comment on, no matter what game you review (almost)!
Having a great time with the game. The gameplay and feeling is excellent, though I do think the lack of rumble is a tad disappointing. But all in all, this is such a joy to play!
This is a tremendous leap forward, and a nice foundation for next year. I take a smooth 1080/720p @ 60fps anyday over a bad frostbite port, running at sub HD-resolution @ 30fps. If it proves successful and I think it will, im confident that we will get a fully featured Fifa next year. Kudos to EA!
Bought it today. The game keeps growing on me, and it is refreshing to fight without difficult button combinations. And yet it is such a deep strategic game when you learn the ropes.
What a feeling! I’m in love. This is a real rpg, no extreme handhelding, epic music, mature storyline and satisfying fightingsystem. Just finished the dancer demo-storyline, and what a treat. The graphic is very nice and with a distinct style. And the HD rumble is great, especially the door and guard breaks. Damn, it really is HD rumble made right...
Nice solution! Just wondering why so many have such a big problem to understand that to make a nice hybrid you HAVE to sacrifice some power to make it affordable enough to sell to a mainstream audience.
Actually it's a really nice selection of games. And SNES is really the first console I really fell in love with. NES was nice, but not much more. And with two controllers and 21 games it's a tremendous value. Let's hope the controllers are similar in quality to NES mini. Cause those were almost as good as the original NES controllers.
@noutBr A Fiio E17K give that extra punch to the sound on a Switch, but for the 3DS it´s pure magic. It really take the sound from 4 to 11, paired with really good headphones. Amps are necessary for way more then just providing volume. It adds weight and kick, clarity and power to choose higher impedance headphones!
I'm extremely happy about M+R! Rabbids are really a great concept, and have been around for a long time. The trailer show some example of excellent humor and how well the two works together. Strategy in this form is one of my favorite, so end of the summer can't come fast enough 😉
I dont really get the problem! Seems like all the kids now days blowing through a game in some hour. I only had time to play Zelda, and now 90 hours later it´s still going strong. Haven´t even touch the other Switch games I have.
@FlameRunnerFast No! Switch is running native at 1080p and is upscaling if the devs running in lower resolutions or if the output is handheld it downscaled to 700p. And Fast is running at the native res.
I really prefer the 3DS version, cause then I can build levels and take on challenges where ever I am. And the lessons that are unique for the 3DS are truly great and gives a quite deep insight in how Nintendo create levels. And since my favorite is Super Mario World, I can enjoy a perfect port that is just as good looking as the Wii U version!
@Anti-Matter Yo-kai is way ahead of Pokémon in most respects. Graphics is better, lore is amazing and like the concept. Of course Pokémon have way more monsters to catch and a bit more tactics involved. I think both are confusing, but a lot of people ignore that and just do the collecting part, straight on.
Not that thrilled. Graphics is good, but no 3D and a very confusing experience for people new to the series. I find that last part odd, cause right now I believe a lot of people will be interested in playing, due to the popularity of Pokémon GO.

Re: Nintendo Download: 19th April (Europe)
@Lroy Good point, always quite annoying when such huge price differences occur.
Re: Nintendo Download: 19th April (Europe)
@Lroy According to the Japanese eshop that version only has Japanese language. So no option for English...

Re: Flipping Heck, That Pinball FX3 Switch Patch Is Coming After All

Pinball games NEED 60fps, so no, it was not fine! Try playing Stern Pinball 60 fps and then play Pinball FX at 30fps, you WILL notice!

Wonderfully written review! Thoughtful and analytic, but nevertheless entertaining.
Re: Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition Update Tackles Load Times and Framerate on Switch
I timed the loading of a level before I patched the game, and it’s roughly 50% faster after the patch. So from 12 sec to 6.8 secs.
