Re: Video: Watch As A Father Uses Super Mario Maker 2 To Reveal Baby's Gender

Shinobi1Kenoby

@Flipbot thanks for evidencing my point exactly. Over sensitive, self entitled and under qualified.

Arrogance is only present where you can’t back up what you’re saying or doing. As is in your case. I’m just right and confidently so.

Although I must congratulate you on your adherence to referring to your superiors as Sir. That’s commendable. Well done boy 👍

Confirmation bias works by actively searching for selective evidence to confirm ore-existing beliefs. Such as you did.

What i did was make an outright observation that is repeatedly and systematically proved to be correct time and time and time again. The younger generations depended at to find fame and fortune through social media whilst devoid of any talent or skill is getting worse and worse. The “look at me, look at me” generation of underqualified, underskilled, over self-entitled and overly sensitive people is sad to see.

1999 a random date? Afraid no. Professional bodies will not bestow a Chartered status to those with a qualification after that date, as it simply isn’t worth the same as it used it be. The hand holding of every student by every teach to pass and succeed due to the schools fear of losing funding after poor results is the start of it. This has been rife now for nearly 20 years and is getting worse. So much so, professional bodies and employers are overtly aware of the state of education and hold recent qualifications in much less a regard than those that were achieved when students had to actually work.

@Flipbot not sure what generation you are, but seems to be one that can’t read and tries to sound intellectual but fails.

Anyone who attained any academic qualification after 1999 should realise their qualification is worthless unless it’s Master or a PhD.

What part of my original post is self congratulatory or back-patting?

Baby boomers were the generation born in the 50’s. How old do you think I am? 😂

Re: Video: Watch As A Father Uses Super Mario Maker 2 To Reveal Baby's Gender

Shinobi1Kenoby

Literally.... who gives a crap. The gender of their baby is huge news to them. But the overly sensitive, talentless, easily offended, praise me for doing naff all, mentality of today’s youth has gotten beyond disgusting that a worldwide social media “gender reveal” is now a thing. If you reflect on this honestly, you will realise you don’t care at all. But with all your other social media “friends” you will praise mediocrity and vilify honesty.

Goddamn the millenial race.

Re: Original Banjo-Kazooie Team "Pleased" About Duo's Return, But Unsure A New Game "Would Sell"

Shinobi1Kenoby

Experiencing a new game from a fully reformed Rareware team would be unbelievably awesome but I’d most like to see a sequel to Conker before Banjo.

Kirkhope is a good guy for sending support to the new developers for Rare, but the new Killer Instinct does not even come close to touching how good and how huge and achievement the original Killer Instinct was in the arcade and on SNES.

Re: Yuzo Koshiro Is Keen To Make Another Shinobi Game

Shinobi1Kenoby

YES!!!!
Shinobi and Koshiro go together like Nintendo and Mario. THIS needs to happen..... as long as it’s like Shinobi III and not like any of the crap that followed. Shinobi unfortunately died in 1993. This is how you bring back one of the best Franchise IPs in Sega’s and Gamings history.

Re: Katana Zero Sold More Than 100,000 Copies In Its First Week

Shinobi1Kenoby

@Zoda_Fett that’s the game concept though. The colour version of each level is you playing through the protagonists premonitions as he can see what happens and relive all eventualities until he finds the right method, like Groundhog day. He never actually dies. The black and white replay at the end of each level is the level’s CCTV capturing what events actually happened in real life.

This game is AMAZING. I preferred it to Sekiro. Couldn’t put it down till I finished it.

Solid build and unbelievably slick gameplay, gorgoues art style, gripping storyline and awesome soundtrack. This is more playable and enjoyable and overall better quality than Sekiro. Wished I’d have found it on Steam earlier and I’d have double dipped.

Justin Stander has got some talent and is definitely a new indie developer to watch.

Re: As Cloud Gaming Steals Headlines, Nintendo's Latest Japanese Ads Highlight The Strength Of Switch

Shinobi1Kenoby

Cloud gaming as an option seems ok. Cloud gaming as a permanent replacement will see me bowing out of gaming altogether.

It just manufacturers channeling us down this route so we fall in line with paying annual subscriptions for heaps of software we never ever really own.

I resent and refuse to pay hard card for virtual product. Once I buy virtual/streaming entertainment.... I own.... nothing.

Switch physical releases have been the best reason to get back into physical game purchasing before it was too late. Seems maybe it was too little too late.

Re: Random: One Tiny Fix Could Make Sonic's Movie Appearance So Much Better

Shinobi1Kenoby

It is totally the eyes. It’s the whole art signature to all the characters in that world and it is key. The same as all Disney characters have the same eyes, you instantly know you’re watching a Disney film.
Losing the art style altogether is a bad move, and adding in the signature eyes makes the WORLD of difference and definitely rescues this screw up.

Not going with this change will be stupid, but very sega and almost as bad as the board meeting where the head of sega of America was proposed Streets of Rage 4 for Saturn/Dreamcast and he said. “Streets of What?”

Re: Download Warning Ruins Box Art For Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster

Shinobi1Kenoby

They really need a new way to display that warning. It ruins box art totally. Could they not make it a label on the cellophane sealed covering? With a secondary label on the back cover in the lower half with the small print for when people buy second hand? It’s crap we have to download half the game anyway with developers releasing in undersized carts as a cheap option, but the ugly cover art just makes it worse . Makes it look like a crap classics/platinum/bargain version but still asking full price

Re: Nintendo Is Not Considering A Switch Successor Or Price Cut At This Time, Says President

Shinobi1Kenoby

@liveswired wow. Someone doesn’t like being pointed out they are wrong.
The demos shown weren’t interactive but the games were fully functioning. Please don’t try and throw Playstation 1’s 3D capabilities into the ring here. It was a joke. Neither the Saturn or Playstation really presented a decent 3D world, the first machine to successfully present a navigable 3D environment was the N64. Then not matched until the Dreamcast. The only console that pulled it off in between the two was the Saturn, but was superseded by the Dreamcast before the games released due a catalogue of other internal catastrophes.
The Saturn had two independent CPUs, like multi core processors today, but most gaming programmers at the time were inexperienced in programming for multi core architecture so only used one CPU, or half the power of the Saturn. The games that fully utilised the complex architecture, blew Playstation out of the water

Re: Nintendo Is Not Considering A Switch Successor Or Price Cut At This Time, Says President

Shinobi1Kenoby

GOOD!!!! There is no need for a new generation till at least 2023. We have all the hardware we need. Indie games at the moment do not need anymore hardware, lazy coding compression techniques don’t need better hardware, we literally have all the graphics we need right here right now. I don’t want to see new hardware until graphic engines make you put them side by side and say............. Wow. THAT is actually noticeable, not... some textures, some shadows, some extras hairs on a head. Graphics have reached a plateau and now we need programmers to catch up to hardware availability.

Do you remember when we had SNES and we went from Mario world, to Mortal Kombat, to Donkey Kong Country, to Star Fox and allllllllllll that came from the same hardware? Programmers relied on hardware less and their ingenuity more.

The Saturn was AWESOME!!! End of discussion.

“But Will, it was inferior and lacked third party support!?” You can stop you’re internal dialogue, you’re wrong, get over it. OK?...... OK.

When decent programmers got hold of Saturn hardware they took a machine supposedly inferior to Playstation 1, and gave you games closer to Playstation 2. Don’t believe me? Search for 5 seconds for a video on Shenmue (or Virtua Fighter 3) running on Saturn..... watch it...... and then shhhhhhhh.

Hardware only takes a game so far, then it leaves the gauntlet to programmers to create what they will. Demanding Gflops, RAM and graphics processors only enables your art department, not the game.

Hardware today is MORE than proficient to deliver what we need. Give this generation of programmers chance to evolve and THEN give them new hardware.
