Re: Poll: Do You Think Call Of Duty: WWII Will Come To Switch, And Would You Want It If It Did?

Shinobi1Kenoby

I think people are wholly negative on this as they don't expect it to happen.

To be honest, the prospect of playing an online game anywhere in the world anytime I want is an utterly ridiculously amazing concept and EVERY multiplayer game made from now a n should be in Switch.

All multiplayer games I play are hindered by the fact I have to sit in my lounge to play them.

Death match on lunch break? Bus travel? Particularly long toilet trip?

YES!!!! How can anyone say no to being able to log straight and play your favourites anytime anywhere? It's stupid.

The Switch is THE first true innovation in gaming since the dreamcast. (Actualised global online console gaming outside of Japan)

Re: Random: Nintendo Officially States Ganondorf's Last Name

Shinobi1Kenoby

@Henmii no, but hitting it with a Netflix cgi animated series would be awesome and raise tiits profile even more. My son watches the cartoon from the eighties, which was crap, but he loves it just cause it's Zelda. Release something contemporary and I imagine now is when it could do very well and get more interest in Nintendo

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Needs to Learn Lessons From Its NES Mini Mistakes

Shinobi1Kenoby

I also think people have generally missed the point of the NES mini.

It was there to fill the gap between a died out Wii U and the incoming Switch, to drum up interest and profits during the lull period. They don't want you to buy a NES mini when they are about to announce the virtual console role out.

It was here to fill a temporary void, it served its job and it served it well. If you really wanted one, you would have gotten one at launch. If you ermm'ed and ahhh'ed about it after launch day, that's why you have t got one right now,

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Needs to Learn Lessons From Its NES Mini Mistakes

Shinobi1Kenoby

I would rather see the ENTIRE NES back catalogue released on the Switch.

Having a limited 30 games in the nes mini saw me prefer to sell mine for a handsome profit.

The cables were too short and there was no future potential to it.

NOW

having ALL the NES added as a virtual console, using the joy con as a NES controller, or even seeing Nintendo release Bluetooth replicas of the original formats (mr preferred choice) then I would invest heavily as the Switch started to cement itself as THE centre of your Nintendo collection and indeed all retro gameing collection.

Bring back mega drive as well
Add game cube
Chuck in Saturn and dreamcast and then..... multiple SDXC cards would be needed in my house

Re: Super Nintendo's 'Unholy Night' Pre-Orders Are Now Live

Shinobi1Kenoby

This should get released anyway, but on modern consoles.

Looks a brilliant idea for a beat em up roster and by a talented team. Would just rather see it running smooth and better graphics using modern hardware instead of the SNES that appears to be struggling to run that tech demo of it.

Re: Square Enix is Considering More Nintendo Switch Releases

Shinobi1Kenoby

Port the PC version of Final Fantasy VII, VIII then IX.

Would nice to see final fantasy finally released in the format it was originally started out in development for as a fan gesture. Then virtual console all Final Fantasy - Final Fantasy VI.

One Nintendo console with ALL 1-9 would be awesome.

Re: GAME CEO Explains Why He Has So Much Confidence In Nintendo Switch

Shinobi1Kenoby

@impurekind I'm not questioning the lack of software.

But this console should be the first home of every new game coming to market. With a Sony and Microsoft spending billions to dominate the market and retail presence, Nintendo are On a constant uphill battle that may see the general consumer denied the single greatest piece of video game hardware ever made.

Third parties should take a leap, Nintendo should take a loss on their licensing, get everyone involved. Get the volume up and then sit back and let the Switch speak for itself

Re: GAME CEO Explains Why He Has So Much Confidence In Nintendo Switch

Shinobi1Kenoby

Best hardware ever. Period.

Whether the market gets it and the games start to come is another thing all together.

Before Switch:
I'm at work, looking forward to being home in the evening and carrying on playing Zelda (potentially NHL 18, Battlefield 5, Black Ops 4 etc etc etc)

Now, with But Switch:
I plant my Switch on my desk, feet up with joycons in hand.... I am straight into where I left off playing the exact same HD home console game, but in my dinner break. (Potentially, I can manage my EA sports HUT card trades during the day from anywhere, or get an extra online league game in, I could play some deathmatches and unlock more weapons at a faster raw than before when I HAD to play at home only... now I can play my games literally anywhere.)

But this console

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire on Nintendo Switch?

Shinobi1Kenoby

Liked it but found the restricted 1 hour slots made it impossible for me to play except for one match on Saturday evening.
Would have been better if it was just open for 24 hours at the weekend.

Played and looked VERY close to playing Splatoon, which I got bored of on Wii U.
I'll undoubtedly end up buying it thiughbfor the same reason I bought the original on Wii i. Total software drought.

Splatoon is not a system seller neither does it add volume to an insanely small launch library.

COME ON NINTENDO. They need games out..... NOW

Re: Review: Super Bomberman R (Switch)

Shinobi1Kenoby

!!!???? Was this reviewed during online multiplayer? Almost the whole point of this game!???

The controls are laggy as hell! And it is entirely unplayable. Bomberman needs to be fast and responsive to cope the intentsity of the type of game it is.
You go online:
Lay a bomb,
Try to turn corner away from bomb before explore? A literal 3 to 4 yenthsbof a second before he moved. On a bomb that has a 3 second fuse that also may have been planed by someone else? That is a massive deal and a huge fail.

The movement controls have too catastrophic a delay for this to be playable online. It needs fixing and it needs fixing fast

Re: Japanese Nintendo Switch Owners Will Be Playing Neo Geo Games Next Month

Shinobi1Kenoby

What I want to see is a full transfer of all existing virtual console titles already owned on my Nintendo network account in Wii U.

I then want to see the N64 and Wii catalogue expanded.

I then definitely want to see the addition of the Gamecube back catalogue steadily.

I then want to see the re-introduction of Sega to the virtual console and would sincerely LOVE to see the addition of any Saturn and Dreamcast titles. Particularly Panzer Dragoon Zwei, Sega Rally, Vjrtua Fighter 2, Shenmue I and II, souls calibur, marvel capcom 1 and 2,

Re: Talking Point: Lack of Nintendo Switch Details Close to Launch Made Wobbly Cam 'Leaks' Inevitable

Shinobi1Kenoby

Being only two weeks away there should be a literal avalanche of information, buzz and a launch line up with at least several games that EVERYONE wants to play.

Nintendo have got this very very wrong again (albeit not as wrong as the Wii U) and they need to step it up big time and FAST.
Back this up with big announcements an overwhelming incoming third party library and convince people this is a format they need to invest in.

I know numbers of people that are bored of Same old same old on Playstation and XBox and were very tempted by the new experiences offered by Switch just off the back of the hardware presentation.

It was the lack lustre launch period line up that made them take a step back and reassess any potential investment

Re: Editorial: No, Nintendo Switch Isn't Having a 'Soft Launch', But The Perception is a Problem

Shinobi1Kenoby

At the moment I have Zelda limited edition pre ordered for day one and that is it. THAT is not good for a new Nintendo console.

I really want Bomberman but a full £50 is too high for a game like Bomberman.

I don't think Nintendos line up and schedule is too bad. The third party line up however is thin, worryingly so. The worst launch line up ever was the N64 with only 3 games! But all were AAA .An ok launch was gamecube with 20 ish titles and 5 AAA. The Switch is nearer the N64.

If this is how thin the line up is there needs to be more hype and news around the virtual console and digital offerings.

There's loads of genres and games not offered on day one that maybe covered virtually.

Example, my cousin hasn't had a Nintendo since Wii and that didn't last long. We both play PS4 and both grown wise to the lame, unoriginal and uninspired software durge it brings. He does however see something new and fresh in the Switch and really wants one, but backed out after seeing the launch line up.

Had it been announced with NHL/F-Zero/1080/Wave Race or several huge third party titles then he would have bought one. The fact the launch line up is more like Wii U 1.5 to the point their biggest title is a delayed Wii U game is really disappointing and they are missing the opportunity to really shift some hardware.

Announcing their intent with the virtual console could serve to gain more interest and fill in some huge holes till their library fills out over the next 9 months.

The gamecube library could help massively in this respect. Just announce more already Nintendo. Right now you need volume and it just isn't there.

Re: Here's How Dragon Quest Heroes II On Switch Shapes Up Against The PS4 Version

Shinobi1Kenoby

@G-Boy Graphically..... no it wasn't. it was basically a gamecube in terms of graphical output.
However, in terms of what it did actually bring to the table over the gamecube far outweighs what pathetic offering the PS4 presents. The Wii brought a full online experience, downloadable games, the virtual console, full online gaming, full motion controls and a level of interaction with your games that had never been seen before, hence the ridiculous sales numbers.

By comparison, the PS4 from the PS3 is the same jump as the Wii from the Gamecube except the Wii brought s tonne load more than slightly better graphics, a share button and the full removal of backwards compatibility.

Re: Here's How Dragon Quest Heroes II On Switch Shapes Up Against The PS4 Version

Shinobi1Kenoby

More evidence that the PS4 was not really needed over the PS3.

I'm impressed the Switch is that close to the PS4 if I'm honest.

PS4 has been the worst evolution in a generation in the history of video games.

More hair, nicer light effects and a share button. That's it.
When I play NHL or metal gear v on PS3 and then on PS4 do I notice a difference? No.
Do I notice a difference if I purposely look for the graphical enhancements? Of course I do. Is the game any better on PS4? Not at all and it's more expensive.

SNES to N64/PsOne was a generational leap.
N64/PsOne to GameCube/PS2 was a Huge leap
GameCube/PS2 to Wii U/PS3 was a huge leap.
PS3 to PS4 was so subtle it is not worth the entry price at all.

The Switch however is offering something that gives you unrestricted access to every game you play throughout its lifespan. The fact it's. It running "cutting edge" graphics is irrelevant. The fact it looks amazing and it is running full home console video games whether your on a bus, on a plane, at college, at work is utterly astounding and worth every penny. The fact it looks raphically that close to PS4 and further from PS3 is amazing and a bonus
