Re: Analysts Suggest Nintendo Switch May Have Sold 14.6 Million, Trounced Wii U Lifetime Sales

Saego

@thesilverbrick Honestly, I can't blame them. Yes, it's more expensive, but then again, we're talking about a succesful game device, while at the time that Nintendo released the Wii U, we knew it was a failure and there were a lot of rumours that Nintendo was working on a new system.

Yes, porting a game to the Switch doesn't cost a lot of resources. But the Wii U version did. Sunken costs and all that kind of stuff.

Re: Hands On: The Future Of Gaming Is Cardboard, Thanks To Nintendo Labo

Saego

@ChibiNinja It depends on the quality of the games ofcourse. It's 'just' $10 more expensive than most other Switch game. But this bring an unique experience with them. Skylanders and Infinity are dying, it's a great time for companies to think of new ways to get kids to gaming.

If Nintendo Labo is going to be a succes, Nintendo has a real moneymaker in their hands.

Re: Hands On: The Future Of Gaming Is Cardboard, Thanks To Nintendo Labo

Honestly, I think it's a great idea but the price might be too high. It's aimed for kids, like Nintendo stated multiple times. So I'm really surprised that there are a lot of people (although, less than I expected) offended by Nintendo Labo.

Seriously, it's not aimed at most of you people around here. And it's not $69,99 for only some cardboard. If that would be true, Breath of the Wild is just some plastic for $59,99.

I think it's great for kids but also for parents who like to build with their kids ánd play with their creation. I'm just curious if it's really going to be a big succes, since $69,99 ~ $79,99 is a lot. And if their kid doesn't own a Switch, they're paying extra.

Re: Steep Release Could Be Imminent As Copies Go On Sale Via Dutch Retailer

@darkswabber I like NedGame for their PC prices, but everything Nintendo related is expensive (although we're talking about Nintendo here). But honestly, they accept pre orders right when a game's first trailer is released.

And for GameMania, I honestly think their trade in prices are low. I would always advise people to sell their games through Marktplaats, instead of GameMania or other stores. I can't blame GameMania for this though, they need to make profits too.

Re: Sorry Netflix Fans, You Won't Be Watching Stranger Things On Your Switch Anytime Soon

Saego

@ryando I agree with this. Most people whining here that the Switch is a game console, are right, but that it doesn't need Netflix because of that it just dumb reasoning. Yes, there are TONS of way to watch Netflix, but some people want to watch them on a console. Those people are a target audience too, and maybe an important one. The same for webbrowser and other apps.

Re: Nintendo Reiterates That It's Not Interested In Virtual Reality Or 4K Support

Saego

Nintendo doing VR would be just a waste of money. Honestly, the Vive is a great piece of hardware but most of the games feel like demo's instead of actually being a game. It's fun and all, but just too expensive. Plus, it's not relaxing at all. Most of the times I just want to lie in bed, pick up a controller and play.

I don't own a 4K TV yet (maybe in the future), but Breath of the Wild looks beautiful without.

Re: ARMS Version 5.0 Is The Last Content Update The Game Will Recieve

Saego

I feel like, aside from succes, it has something to do with Nintendo pushing out more games faster for the Switch. If you look at Xenoblade 2, it feels quite rushed talking about optimalisation. Same for the Zelda Botw DLC 2 and same for Mario Odyssey (a lot of small worlds).

I don't mind that strategy though.
