I will get it as I am a fan of the Sonic Racing games (mentioned in the review) which I have happily on a lot of systems which I can imagine played at below 30fps at times, I also have faith that Gameloft will patch it up
@Paraka Life of Strange 2 has a file size of 26.4gb for the Nintendo Switch (you can look on the coming soon page on the Nintendo Switch), as most cloud games are around 200mb if that, I thinks it's 99.9% that it's not a cloud game at all (and thank god for that it's not!!)
As a kart racing game, it's one of the best on the Switch I would say, I'm a big fan of the first two Sonic Racing games and I would put this in the same league as them. As for the online stuff it was very mis-managed with all the microtransactions, if you see it cheap it is 100% worth a purchase.
According to my son who is a massive fan of the game, he wasn't impressed with the amount they have removed from the game, it's a shame they couldn't just give you the option to tick a box to add everything even if it ends up running at 10 fps, 20 soldiers on each team isn't a battle it's more of a bar fight!
I tried earlier to use the site and had problems, in the end it said the payment didn't go through but then I got a message from my bank asking me to confirm the transaction even though the website said it didn't go through, I cancelled the transaction as I had a feeling my money was going to disappear somewhere, and I would have been left with no codes.
Maybe they should have had some male characters in the game to even things up a bit, but each to their own I say, it would be a very boring place if we all liked the same thing. I also have noticed it's always the same people that comment negatively on these types of posts. Lighten up people, you wasn't going to be buying the game anyway!
You could probably cause a stink for the company for what is a form of racism in a small way as they are discriminating against one group of people because of the language they use based on where they live!!
As I picked up this game below £10 I would say I am really enjoying this game, it's a fun arcade style game which also has a great story and great content to keep you going. The original price (£35) is a bit much especially when it will get compared to the free mobile version but on a nice sale and with all the content it has that you would have had to pay extra for on mobile it is worth it.
I think it's worth the money depending on how much time you think you are going to get out of everything they have given you, in the past I have spent more on games that I have barely touched, so to me its a no brainer, I've been on Mario Kart 64 so far and my ten year old son is playing Gunstar Heroes for the first time and is trying to complete it with the help of the rewind feature.
I have this game in VR also but I do love the Switch version, especially on the OLED screen as I am able to play it outside and still see what I am doing.
I'm still rocking the V1 Switch and as I also have Joy con drift on most of my joycon's I have pre ordered the OLED model. the slightly bigger screen will be great as I play 90% portable and also from owning a PSVIta that had a OLED display the difference in the blacks and colour is also something I am looking forward to experiencing with all my Switch games.
I love this game, I was a little worried as to how much content it would have for such a cheap price but it has tons to unlock (tracks, upgrades) so it will definitely keep you busy for a long time.
@Jamie_R I 100% agree, but I would say it's a good idea to not pre order anything especially if there is no pre order bonus (as in a temporary cheaper price or extras), I tend to check reviews or gameplay first and then make a decision on if to buy the game.
Even the Xbox One version has major pop in so it is more a port problem than hardware, hopefully they will be able to improve it with patches, it's still a great game though no matter how it looks
I'm so glad this finally happened as I wanted to use this with my son but it was too much of a risk money wise to buy two digital copies in case he didn't get into it, this way at least I can get just the physical edition and we can both we how we get on with it.
I love this game so much, the graphics look colourful and crisp plus the amount of content with collectables, cups and different style of races is amazing. You can't compare this to the mobile version as that version has no campaign mode and you can't play the modes you want, It's the best kart racer on the switch (it has more to do in it than Mario Kart) and as the file size is a crazy small 350mb it's going to stay on my switch forever. Great Review
I love both Little Nightmares 1 and 2, the second game plays amazingly well on the switch and it is worth trying out the demo if you want to see what it's all about. I would be up for some DLC so fingers crossed!
Hopefully they add a level select or a save point so you can continue from where you left off (even if it's at the start of a level). I've seen/played that first level way too many times!!
I was put off by the price of it on the UK store, £60 or £100 for the 'VIP' edition, way too expensive, no thank you. At least in the past you got a plastic guitar for those prices now it's just thin air!!
As Fortnite is unavailable in it's current form on mobile this might actually sell pretty well to parent's who's kids are missing out on Fortnite on the go
I love this game so much, I didn't really know his music before the game and have gone on to buy all the albums, then after finishing the game I watched the tribute concert with family. He was so talented and this game is a great tribute to him and his music.
I had to 'Youtube' a fair few of these and I was like, "that's that song from Tiktok!!", I might be buying this game this year as at least it also has a solo mode for singing away in the kitchen!!
I own this on the Laptop but on the strength of the demo I also have ordered this for the Switch, my laptop is not the best and I was interested to see how it ran on the Switch. The game runs great, 60fps and looks amazing. If you like Rhythm games then give the demo a go and see if you like it.
I own some of the Hatsune Mika games on the PS Vita, 3DS, PS4 and now Switch, The Switch version for me is the best because it is portable so I can stick my headphones in and just play anywhere, it also has a massive selection of songs, yes it would be nice to have the full set like the PS4 does but if you compare it to the other potable versions which had about 30 songs a piece then this version is worth the money. I also love the 'less real' anime look of the characters in this compared to the PS4 version as it fits in well with the feel of the backgrounds and general art style. It's a much needed cheery game to make you feel a little better about the world and things.
The 'foggy' level that is being complained about in this news feature is actually having the weather effect of a sand storm. You can see sand blowing in the wind!! that is why it looks the way it does. I am happy with what I have played of the beta and will definitely be getting this game, this is the perfect portable pick up and play game for me.
The theory that Sonic 3 is not on the Mega Drive collection because of Michael Jackson is not correct, Sonic 3 (and Knuckles) is available on Steam for the PC version of this game. I think it was not added to possibly be added as paid DLC or maybe to sell a second game featuring Mega Drive or Master System games.
I would 100% bet it is coming to the Switch, They won't admit to it being worked on at the moment as they would sooner people double dip by buying the Xbox/PS4 version and then buying the Switch version when it gets surprise announced. I can see them releasing each game separately to help with the overall size of the game(s).
I do love my Vita but agree that Sony dropped the ball with some of the decisions they made. having to use their own memory cards which was stupidly expensive was a bad move as in the end I just stopped buying games as I had no memory left and didn't want to delete anything. I also bought a 64gb card which was about £100 and died after a couple of months. It has some great games on it and the Switch does feel like what the Vita should have become with the right support.
I'm getting near the end of Outlast 2, also want to get some time in StarLink. Soo want to get Diablo 3, I have it on PS4 but never get a chance to play it due to other people watching the TV so the Switch version is the most ideal.
Well, it's a hit in this household!! while I respect the reviewer for his opinion on this game, it's already been played a lot more than games that I own that have got a higher score so I personally would rate it a lot higher if you have a family. Also the fact that you can use your Mii's in the game is great too.
Just as an idea, I would love it if they made a Labo VR kit and you got this game to play with it. The only problem would be is the Switch screen is 720p so it would be 720 between two eyes which would make it 360p per eye. Still would be pretty awesome!!
I was tempted but the price is too high when you can get it cheaper elsewhere, they should have done a bundle where you got it with Limbo for free or some kind of discount for getting both.
I also love this game, I like the fact that it has no enemies and you can just wonder around collecting stuff while doing missions. I tend to go for the more action packed type game so this is a welcome breath of fresh air for me. For the amount of time I have played it and enjoyed it I would give it a solid 8 out of 10

It's a great if you ignore the microtransaction stuff, it's the nearest to a Forza Horizon game style that has come to the Switch so far.
