Would buy if it is a physical release for sure, I hope Natsume changes their mind about eshop only. Otherwise, may wait for a sale down the road as I have plenty to play in the meantime.
@popey1980 Not at all. Lots of men have been wearing Baby-Gs for years. Just google and you'll see plenty of soldiers, and macho characters in novels, have worn and prefer the smaller Baby-Gs.
In this day and age, you should worry even less about it. If you like the style, you can wear it. You can even wear a pink shirt if you like.
I don't have a Switch yet but bought the Special Edition for Switch. To play, I also got myself a copy of the Wii U version. Also paid for the DLC and bought all the Amiibos. Prior to that, I bought Twilight Princess in order to upgrade the Wolf Link Amiibo... so I've already spent over $300 on BotW, even without buying a Switch.
First impressions: Holy expletive!! I'm immensely enjoying the Wii U version. For the person above who said the graphics are garbage, are you kidding me? This is like playing a gorgeous painting come to life!
I don't own Switch, but I also bought the Special Edition anyway because I wanted all the goodies - soundtrack, map, case, gotta have it!! Waiting for all the BotW Amiibos to ship too. I think I spent over $300 in amiibo pre-orders and on the games themselves, plus the DLC.
Hitting up the third shrine now, had to figure out a way to climb up a mountain, but so satisfying when I did!
Yes, frame rate drops - especially when using the magnet ability, but not a deal breaker at all. Motion controls also work very well.
All of them have been my favorites! Zelda is the main reason why I need to own Nintendo consoles... so that I can actually play the latest Zelda game. I am actually not getting the Switch right now as I ordered the Wii U version of Breath of Wild. Had I been able to score a special edition for the Switch, it would have been a different story... two more days!!!
No Day One Switch purchase for me. Probably not even a Year One buy. I will buy Breath of the Wild for Wii U on the day it releases though. Have they confirmed the release of the Wii U version to be the same day as the Switch version?
There were so many indie games on PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One, and Vita that I would have loved to have seen on Wii U... if even half of these smaller releases were released on Wii U, it would have softened the blow. I loved Guacamelee, Severed, Don't Starve, and Binding of Isaac.
2016 was a very bad year for the Wii U and a bitterly disappointing one for the faithful Wii U owners. It was a pretty great one for 3DS though.
It has made back $4 million in just these couple of days, according to the article, so no, not everyone is too cheap to buy the game or expects something for nothing.
Well, I don't want to start a big debate on censorship here, but I think it's fair to say that different folks are offended by different things. Some fans (men and women) don't like women being objectified by the male gaze. I'm no expert on the topic though, but I understand why some people can do without. Speaking for myself anyway, whether sexy outfits are included is not the primary reason or selling point to play DQ or Xenoblade. For a game like Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball, it may very well be.
@GameOtaku @speedracer216 Actually, the racy costumes the female characters wear have been scaled back in the 3DS version. For example, instead of little bikini bottoms, they are now redesigned as shorts.
I also dropped it after around 3 or 4 hours with my kids and wife.
There was this part where we had to drop down a shaft and avoid getting toasted by lasers. If I recall correctly, it involved a series of very precise team coordination of disarming lasers and changing our gravity. It took FOREVER to through that part and I remember we were getting frustrated a lot at one another. No one wanted to play it again after that except me.
Now this article makes me want to revisit and see what I missed.
@darthstuey You don't have to do anything you don't want to.
But anyway, I'm going to check out the download. It does look fun and I am a big N fan. Plus it's a free download and if I don't like the game, I'll just delete it, no big deal.
Most of these iPhone games are just a little diversion on the side for me, a console gamer - something to pass the time while I'm waiting for a friend to show up at the coffee shop, or I'm idly waiting for the wife to come out of the store. No real risk of using up all of my data. My 'real' gaming time would be spent on one of my home consoles or 3DS.
How many months have gone by where I barely scratched my data plan? The phone company doesn't give you a credit back, so I say use the data if you got it.
Put down the pitchforks people. From the Jimmy Fallon demo, Reggie Fils-Aime said that you get several levels for free to try out the game. You pay $9.99 if you like what you see and want to unlock the rest of the game.
Those $140 N3DSes are selling out fast here in Canada. I was able to get a black one at the third Wal Mart I went to. Completely sold out at the first two. Limit one per customer at Wal Mart. It will replace my son's busted red 3DS XL.
It will cost $95 to send to Nintendo's doorstep for repair, so may as well get him the N3DS. Will use the damaged red 3DS XL as a coaster. Or a doorstop.
I have all eight games. They're all good, especially at these rock bottom prices.
I haven't beaten them all, but would rank them: Inazuma Eleven (by far) Crimson Shroud Attack of the Friday Monsters Weapon Shop de Omasse Liberation Maiden Aero Porter The Starship Damrey Bugs vs. Tanks
Before people start trashing the game again, I wish they've actually played it. I bought the game and truly enjoyed it. Some of the battle modes were really fun and original. I really wish more people gave it a chance. Those who did buy it, I am sure they got their money's worth, like myself. The game could get a bit glitchy and there were frame rate issues, but it was playable. I stopped playing after a while, but could see the same people night after night enjoying themselves.
As an online 3rd person shooter/fighter incorporating Ninja Gaiden-like melee gameplay plus shooting, there was no game like it.
Huh, my kids don't seem all that interested in Pokemon anymore... now it's all about Yo-Kai Watch in my household, wtf?! The boys actually told me to cancel our preorder for Sun & Moon! I'm still going to order it, maybe save it as a present for them for Christmas. Ordered a copy of Dragon Ball Fusions for them too.
Yo-Kai Watch does appear to be better than Pokemon as a game, both of my sons think so, and one of them is a pretty big Pokemon fan. Of course this could all change when Sun/Moon comes out.
The Yo-Kai Watch watch toy and the discs are pretty bad toy, imho, and I really have to put my foot down buying them more of these little discs than we already have. And now, there is a new watch toy, Yo-Kai Watch Model Zero and the new discs don't work on the first watch.
I watched some videos of this game, and I think one would be better off with Resident Evil Revelations or Resident Evil Mercenaries for your zombie survival fix.
Hi Everyone, I've got the game for both Wii U and N3DS, but haven't downloaded anything. What 'deal' or package is most worth it? What is the 'must have' DLC, or the DLC that will give me most bang for my buck? Cheers!
Flipped my copy on eBay just last year. It came with box and instructions, so some lucky collector was happy. I had originally finished it and played it a bit again before listing it. It's a good game, but not THAT good, so no regrets. 9/10 is overrated, imho. I would rate it 7 or 8. This review is just going to bring the hype back up.
@PORYGON
I agree with Porygon as well, it was very helpful when you listed all the eShop sales. Especially helpful that those sale titles were linked to the reviews.
Is the ring and crystals just gimmicks? Do you need them to get the most out of the game? I preordered on Amazon.ca a while back for my boys, but didn't know there were physical accessories for the game.
I'm also disappointed. I was interested in the game and pending reviews, I likely would have bought it, but I understand their decision - it might not be good business sense to port such a niche game to the Wii U with its smaller install base.
When there's no sales or anything I'm interested in on the eShop, I'll usually go to EB Games (Game Stop in Canada) and pick up a used game. I'll usually find something and I really enjoy the hunt.
Has anyone ever played the zombie survival game "How to Survive?" Is it any good?
I hope these discounts arrive for North America as well. I'm interested in Year Walk and also enjoying reading people's other recommendations. I'm steering clear of Project Zero, that ultra creepy ghost stuff will haunt your dreams for weeks afterwards.
@Shinnos
Binding of Isaac for the NEW 3DS is fixed for the most part. There was a patch. The game can still freeze, but only if certain criteria are met. I haven't had the game freeze up on me for quite some time now and still play it regularly. You should be fine.
Wind Waker but with Twilight Princess style graphics! The little puzzle islands sort of remind me of Captain Toad as well... although not wholly original, I dig it!
Reviews have been really strong as well. If this thing shows up on Wii U, I'll bite for sure.

The snake sort of looks like Crash Bandicoot without his nose or eyebrows...
Re: Feature: The Big Nintendo Direct Summary - 12th April
A Battle Chasers game!! But it's a JRPG... I wish it was an action RPG instead.

Free advertising for Maricar, I'm sure it was planned on purpose.
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd March (Europe)
Super kudos to Nintendo Life for taking the time to list all the discounts again, linked to each title!
Zelda - can't believe it's upon us already!!
Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd February (North America)
Ghost Blade - from reviews looks like it will be a 6 or 7.

Re: Feature: 30 Essential Wii U eShop Games
I would love to try Chronicles of Teddy!
The Bridge was never on my radar, but will have a look.
I wish there were more indies on Wii U:
Luftrausers
Hotline Miami
Limbo
Telltale games
I'm hoping the sequel to Retro City Rampage is still coming to Wii U.
Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd December (North America)
The shooter Steel Empire is on sale too!

Re: Review: Exile's End (Wii U eShop)
I'd prefer to play a game like this on my 3DS. I use the Wii U and the widescreen for more 'marquee' titles like Bayonetta, etc.

Re: The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is Looking Like a Decent Bet for Nintendo Switch
Love Binding of Isaac and it is still one of the very few games I go back to time and time again.
Re: Super Mario Run Will Require a Constant Online Connection
Put down the pitchforks people - Pokemon GO, the most downloaded app on the planet, also requires a constant Internet connection.
Re: Miyamoto on the Reasoning Behind Super Mario Run's Pricing

Re: Feature: 10 Essential 3DS RPGs
Tales of the Abyss wasn't on my radar until now, looks like a lot of you enjoyed it, I'll have to check it out!!
I'd recommend these other RPGs that didn't make the list:
Xenoblade Chronicles
Crimson Shroud
Yo-Kai Watch 2
