'Tis the season yet again for ravenous shoppers of all kinds to brave the hordes in search of great deals on random stuff. Black Friday is just a few days away, and every day the temptations grow stronger as more companies show their hand for the shopping holiday. Granted, there's nothing wrong with staying at home and getting a piece of the savings via online storefronts, and it seems that Level-5 is keen to capitalize on this end of the market through a sale on the 3DS eShop.
There's mostly a selection of older titles on offer, with a particular focus on the Guild 01 and 02 releases, but it's surely a great way to catch up on games that you might've missed the first time around. Here's the lineup:
- Liberation Maiden: $2.99 (was $7.99)
- Aero Porter: $2.99 (was $4.99)
- Crimson Shroud: $2.99 (was $7.99)
- The Starship Damrey: $2.99 (was $7.99)
- Bugs vs. Tanks!: $2.99 (was $7.99)
- Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale: $2.99 (was $7.99)
- Inazuma Eleven: $9.99 (was $19.99)
- Weapon Shop de Omasse: $2.99 (was $7.99)
What do you think? Will you be picking any of these up? What are you looking to get on Black Friday? Drop us a comment in the section below.

I really recommend Attack of the Friday Monsters. Especially at this price. Lovely little game.
Which game out of all the Guild games do people consider the best? I've been interested in Attack of the Friday Monsters for the longest time so I'll probably pick that one up, but what about the others?
Hopefully I'll obtain several.
My wallet is going to be so sore after the next week.
@ReshiramZekrom Can't speak for the others, but Liberation Maiden was quite good. Well worth 3 bucks!
AotFM is a great game. I wish i could play a longer game like it.
Liberation Maiden and Attack of the Friday Monsters were both great little game. Highly recommended these, esp at this bargain price.
Well now, time to go pick up an eshop card!
I have all eight games. They're all good, especially at these rock bottom prices.
I haven't beaten them all, but would rank them:
Inazuma Eleven (by far)
Crimson Shroud
Attack of the Friday Monsters
Weapon Shop de Omasse
Liberation Maiden
Aero Porter
The Starship Damrey
Bugs vs. Tanks
Where are Nintendo's black friday eShop sales? :/
Woow, I hope this comes to Europe too. I would love five of these games for 15$!!!
Pretty cool deals, but not a whole lot that interest me. Inazuma Seven looks kinda cool, but not sure if it interests me enough to buy it on a whim.
Hopefully comes to Europe. Would like to get Omasse at least
@NickOfTime90 if this sale comes to Europe I'll take your word for it and take the plunge.
I have Liberation Maiden and Crimson Shroud but haven't given them enough time, I played both for an hour or so but neither really grabbed me which is a shame. Definitely not bad games though, especially at that price.
Also got The Starship Damrey which I definitely would recommend. It's more a proof of concept then a fully fledged game, kind of feels like a jam game that was expanded to a semi-complete game. But if you're into your point and click adventures told in a first person dungeon crawler template then you may like this for the couple of hours it'll take to complete.
hope we can get similar discounts in the UK!
Attack of the friday monsters might be one of the best coming of age stories told in a short videogame. Crimson shroud is a solid RPG experience and liberation maiden hates lefties. Weapon shop de Omasse is a quirky little game that hammers (pun intended) on RPG/anime clichés. All fun little games for fair price.
@davidevoid I really enjoyed it. I am planning to pick up The Starship Damrey and Liberation Maiden if this comes to Europe.
Only one I played on this list is inazuma eleven, which I thought was great. Maybe I'll try this Friday night monsters game
I would easily recommend any of those games especially at those prices, but if I had to pick one and I mean HAD to pick just ONE then although it would be tough I would go with Attack of the Friday Monsters. But I honestly think they are all worth their money.
@khululy - As a lefty, how does Liberation Maiden hate lefties?
That was the shooter game, right?
If only we could get more Inazuma Eleven games in America.....
Absolutely loved Crimson Shroud, Weapon Shoppe de Omasse and Attack of the Friday Creatures. Starship Damrey was a nice experience but woefully short. The other three just weren't my cup of tea, but I still thank their developers for doing something different. Makes me wish Nintendo would bring back the Art Style property for quirky little niche games.
Finally time to pick up the Weapon Shop B)
I'm surprised no one has mentioned that owning multiple Guild games will unlock bonus content. That's the only thing that has me slightly tempted to grab Aero Porter, even though I know I wouldn't play it.
What game is the art in the article from?
@Thermoclorn Liberation Maiden
Liberation Maiden forces you to do things with the stylus in your right hand. The game doesn't have circle pad pro support, so you can't switch hands, either.
My favorite of the bunch is Crimson Shroud. For those who have it, I built a set of 'shroud dice' for gaming, which is a bunch of translucent dice of different colors: orange d20, yellow d12, etc. Suprisingly difficult to put together.
I personally already have all these titles, except Inazuma Eleven, but even the 50% discount for it is not that tempting to me.
@ohako If you have the Nintendo 3DS stand that came with Kid Icarus: Uprising, it will actually help you control the game easier by freeing you from the task of holding the console as you push buttons.
I'll be picking up several of these! Level 5 is the best dev on the eShop imo. One of the very few willing to put 3D games on the 3DS as well. Don't forget you get 10 gold coins for buying discounted games (it goes by original price)!
Hmm, I've been on the fence for a while for Attack of the Friday Monsters. I may just get it at that price.
I really enjoyed Liberation Maiden. Played thru it multiple times. I'd love a sequel.
I highly recommend Crimson Shroud. If you like more "somber" RPGs in the vein of Vagrant Story, Nier or Lost Odyssey, this is a must buy.
@vincentgoodwin for me the controls felt off and I couldn't really aim well with my right hand otherwise a solid little game same with one of the bit trip games that was really designed around right handed stylus controls.
I got Inazuma Eleven in last year's sale and loved it. Perfect game to play during the season you can't actually play soccer/football (if you happen to live in a place with winter)!
So no discounts on 3ds retail games? Why?
I have most of them but only played the Starship Damrey. Great game! I highly recommend it although is easy to get lost at first. Once you learn the mechanics is a very enjoyable experience.
How long is this sale going on for and which is the best games to get? And for what reason
@jgibson75
It got a Japan only, VN sequel >___> The main character is a guy (childhood friend), she's still the president, and there are a bunch of girls (the President's assistants or something) outta nowhere.
The main character has some weird mind reading powers powers and I am not sure if it has romance based routes.
Yea they totally made the right sequel
