Capcom has announced on Twitter that it will be closing down its official online store in America. The last day to place orders will be next month on 1st May, and supplies are limited - so get in while you can.
In addition to this, it sent out a huge thanks to all of its fans for supporting the store over the course of its life. At the time of writing, there are still games like Monster Hunter Rise available for purchase. It's also a chance for members to make use of their remaining points.
Oh, and if you're wondering about how safe it is to use your credentials, earlier this week Capcom confirmed no credit card information was stolen during last November's cyber attack.
There's no word just yet if Capcom's online stores in other regions will close just yet, but if we hear anything - we'll be sure to let you know. Did you ever purchase anything from Capcom's online site? Sad to see it go at all? Tell us down below.

I didn't even know there was one to begin with. What was the point of it again?
Idk at all. I didn't know this existed
No, me neither
I had no idea this existed until now so I can't say I'll miss it.
to everyone saying they didn't know it existed: good. it was excrutiatingly overpriced and had this arbitrary "capcom points" reward system for certain high-ticket items (i.e.: out of print books)
Maybe this is what it’s closing down.
This comment section is just proof that it should shut down.
The only thing that I saw that could be worthwhile is the membership rewards and it seems like you would need to buy a lot of games there to get anything in the way of decent rewards.
I didn't even know they had their own store.
Capcom have it own store in america?how i only know this today?
does the Capcom store have something worth to buy?or i can buy it products on Amazon?
Are we meant to be hating Capcom know or something? Sorry that's not going to happen...
Just what are these writers playing at? 🤣
@Snatcher lol i was about to say the same thing.
never knew there was one. oh well
I went to events like E3 and PlayStation Experience, and I saw that the Capcom booth was selling merchandise like the ones on the online Capcom store. I bought the black-recolored Ryu statue at PlayStation Experience. I knew that the Capcom store existed as a result, but I never shopped with it online, only at Capcom’s booth at conventions.
Not to worry they'll reopen a new one with better security there after.
@Real_Obsi I guess the RE fans might after they pretty much forced REsistence to suffer a slow and painful death while stapled to R3make and followed it up with that godawful looking new MP one that's straight outta 2008.
They had a store?
@Giancarlothomaz amazon , eBay, GameStop, Best Buy etc etc. no one buys from a companies actual store anymore it’s all through retailers.
I had no idea Capcom had an online store, I wonder if is better than the laughable excuse of an online store that Nintendo has...
@Dirty0814 exactly i buy my games for such companies that you mentioned.
@ModdedInkling To buy merchandise and stuff
Never knew they had a store. What a great advertising crew they have!
Lol, Ryus face is like "Hurry up! I need to go to the bathroom too!"
I recall it was where I got Ultimate Ghouls 'n Ghosts for the PSP back in the day, after it was out of print in stores.
I also remember the Konami online store. Was the only place I saw Konami Arcade Hits for the DS. Though that store probably got more attention back in the day for selling an ACTUAL REAL LIFE whip as a piece of Castlevania merchandise.
Can't recall if it was legalities or just for bad PR that they had to pull that item pretty quick.
@Dirty0814
I buy most of my Nintendo games from Nintendo NY rather than GameStop or Amazon or Best Buy, etc. But I recognise that I'm an exception, not the rule.
Ahem... "What about Capcom's role in preserving their product?!?!?!"
I think I did that right.
Hopefully nobody doesn't take this offensively but who cares if Capcom is shutting down its online store Believe me I know from personal experience everything they sell in the Capcom store website is extremely overpriced did they really expect they were going to make profit if they make every single goddamn item overpriced? I feel like some companies like Capcom should not be allowed to create their own online store if they don't know how to sell affordable items🤦♂️ Especially their Capcom reward system is utter trash It belongs in the gutter 🤢🤮You can't expect to make profit if you make everything overpriced and provide nothing good in the reward system 🤦♂️ So I'm not going to miss the Capcom store It's a failed experiment always have been 🤦♂️ I purchase all of my Capcom games from GameStop and they have always been reliable and I will continue to support GameStop for the rest of my life 😎👍 They are the only game store That has a fantastic reward points system And I have been a power-up rewards pro member ever since GameStop introduced it 😉👍 unlike Capcom rewards membership is overpriced So I'm glad Capcom is shutting down It's online store 🤦♂️ anyone who does miss the Capcom store is blind 🤦♂️
