Re: Animal Crossing Fans Left Upset After Nintendo Patches Out Neat Camera Trick

@Silly_G if you have put in 200 hours in to any game, I'd say you got your money's worth and then some. In fact, the fact that you played AC for over 2 months straight to me means the game was a good purchase for you.

I think people's expectations of what AC should be for them is a tad out of whack.

No offense to anyone though. I'm just saying you paid about $50 and got a game that you played (and likely enjoyed for the most part) for over two months. That's not a bad thing.

Re: "Why Make It Mini?" NES Creator Says People Would Still Buy A Regular System Today

PharoneTheGnome

If they made the NES, SNES, Gamecube, and N64 (with built in HDMI output) that was 100% compatible with all original cartridges/CDs, I would ***HAPPILY*** buy one of each and be buying the games.

There's literally no reason for Nintendo to not be making money off of their existing products and game library.

The way to handle this is to update the systems for HDMI and replace parts with newer parts that "do the same thing" while being more efficient and less expensive. Sale them from the Nintendo online store rather than at retailers because it is going to be a niche audience and would fail most likely if they were to ship millions of units to retailers.

Then just have all of the games (ALL OF THEM!!!) purchasable from the Nintendo online store and create them on purchase. There's literally no reason to have a million copies of Mother sitting in a warehouse. Just create the cartridge when it is ordered online, and ship it out.

Nintendo is leaving tons of money on the table by not doing this right now.

Re: Itching For 2020's First Nintendo Direct? One Super Mario Maker 2 Player Got Tired Of Waiting

Everybody should temper their expectations some on any announcements coming out soon. As much as we would like to believe that everything is fine and dandy, the corona virus is having an affect on all businesses. Japan is dealing with the virus right now as we speak. An announcement for games coming out this year kind of takes a back seat to health. Cut them some slack and be patient.

Re: Federal Court Rules $10.1 Million Case Against Nintendo's Wii Remote As Invalid

I still do not understand why Nintendo has not made the Wii controller usable with the Switch.

The Wii controller's motion control detection is night and day better than that in the Switch Joycons.

I'm not saying do away with the Joycons as the main source of control for the Switch. All I am saying is that they should add the Wii controllers as an option for Switch developers to use.

There's no reason for Nintendo to not have a main line console machine that supports both full motion control and non-motion control game designs. They did a damn good job of creating motion control in the Wii. Just migrate that system to Switch by offering a usb-based sensor bar to connect to your Switch and sit on your TV (or TV stand), and add support to the Switch to interact with the Wii controllers.

Re: Nintendo's Mario Kart 8 Switch Bundle Dominated This Year's Black Friday Sales

PharoneTheGnome

Every time I saw someone say something along the lines of, "don't buy the bundles on Black Friday because it's the older Switch and doesn't have the new batter," it made me facepalm.

I mean, hello... people... the old Switch is the same Switch that the vast majority of us own and love. If you can get that for less money, why the hell wouldn't you buy it.

The only reason you should wait and buy a newer Switch is if you MUST HAVE the very best available at the time, and if you are that kind of person, then you know that you are going to be paying top dollar for your purchases, so the Black Friday bundles were not for you in the first place.

I say good job to all the people that bought the Switch bundles on Black Friday. Welcome to the Nintendo Switch family!

@Severian The earth (just like every planet in the universe) is in a constant state of change. At one point, there was only one continent on the face of the earth. Beyond that, I'm an old fart, and I've seen my share of this bs. Back in the 80s, we were told that there was a whole in our atmosphere, and that in the future we would all burn to death because of it getting larger and larger. Guess what. The whole repaired itself because the Earth is always in a constant state of change.

The same people that push these narratives of humans killing the planet are the exact same people that make billions off of it. Al Gore tells everybody to save the planet by using less energy and not to eat beef because the cow farts kill the planet, and he does this while living in a massive mansion that uses more energy than a small neighborhood and eats cheeseburgers.

It's called hypocrisy, and when you have been on this planet long enough to see the NEXT hoax come along, you'll be just like my generation that recycled newspapers, cans, and bottles all the while preparing for an emanate demise that never came.

Every generation that comes along has their "cause". Every... single... one. Politicians and businessmen take advantage of each new generation because, like it or not, young minds are easily manipulated.
