@Moon personally I'd rather have the old games. Resi VII is never gonna run on Switch (Plus I have it for my PSProVR combo) and I don't like Monster Hunter. So give me an updated PSP port of the 3 Capcom arcade collections and I'll be over the moon.
4p Captain Commando on a current gen home console is my wet dream right now, lol
Looks like a poor mans meat boy and I'd rather rebuy meat boy to be honest.i watched a review of it when it was Switchbond and it sounds decent, but not great.
@kobashi100 no idea then bud. Yeah 3rd Strike on DC is special, I pray Switch will one day get it and also Capcom VS SNK 2.
@SwitchGlitch I don't mean in this thread, I mean this whole site. Since it came out I see so much venom towards this port and the amount of people who then demand Monster Hunter, it's just baffling that they can't work out that SFII selling well will actually help the chances of MH coming to it.
@Bunkerneath the best version is the Arcade version of Super, the SNES version is the nostaglia version bud.
I can't go back to it since having an arcade perfect port, it's just night and day difference in quality.
People bought this because it was the first time the complete (meaning with Akuma) version was portable and not only was it portable it's on a system where local coop is available literally everywhere.
Yeah it sucks playing it with joy con but that will have driven sales, the trailer showing 2 people fighting on the train will have helped immensely.
I just don't get the moron mentality of this site though (not you Bunker, I've moved on to another topic here). Everyone sits here hating on the game and the dev whilst crying out for Monster Hunter, believe it or not some people hate Monster Hunter, I do. But I'm not going to sit and hate on it and whine at the people who bought it and hope that Capcom don't release it.
SFII selling well is better for everyone whether you can see that or not.
@kobashi100 if you do indeed mean SFIIX For Matching Service I can't say I ever had control issues with it with my fight sticks, so it might be your fight stick bud.
I sold my rare as fudge Dreamcast version to help fun my Switch, I feel it's a good version but not the best. No bonus stages hurts it and some characters feel off. But I'm buying a fightstick for it so I still love it, lol
It was £16 on the other consoles, I'm quite peeved as this is yet another dollar to pound price hike. Namco is the worst this week though, a straight 1:1 and that just isn't fair on us.
@MegaTen yeah I mean a good hundred million plus have bought the PS4/XBOX and with upgraded the power so that everyone can keep there libraries and just continue to buy games for a system they love, that's just madness.
How ever will games companies ever make money with massive install bases and the security of knowing that they aren't about to release on an obsolete system.
@Pupito according to gamexplain and the U.K site all the amiibo unlocks are locked behind amiibo. You beat the game THEN scan the amiibo to get it, so yeah, wishing I'd ordered the hard mode unlock DLC.
@abe_hikura @w00dm4n well the first time I did it I tried going 11-9, 11-8 etc... and got no luck. So maybe it's because I have 11 on all mine as I've gave them all a custom.
Finally someone posts about the damn update, I mentioned it in the forums and nothing.
Good to know what it does, hopefully Shin Akuma is the Akuma I'm used to from the Dreamcast Arcade port, the Akuma you get as standard is weak sauce and no match for Violent Ken.
EDIT
Just a heads up, you can't cheat, you have to move from 1-9 for Ken, 1-8 for Sagat and 1-7 for Bison, you can't go 11-7 for example.
I bought this years back on Vita and it was £9 full price, they better be adding a lot if they're charging £25 digitally.
Hell even £15 digitally is a huge price hike.
Still interested as I did like it, but again, they better be doing a lot too it. It's weird for such an old game to be launching at a price higher than it originally launched at.
@Gamer83 you do realise porting from XBOX to PS4 and PS4 to XBOX is much easier than downgrading to Switch, right?
The other 2 are like P.C's, very little work is required to get a game running on both consistently.
Your argument is basically complaining that someone with a ton of oranges is offering orange juice with pulp or without but HOW DARE THEY NOT offer Apple juice.
Switch is perfection for a handheld gamer like myself who loves consoles, just upgrade the hardware after a couple years without forcing us to rebuy our library and that'll be fine.
There's a lot of indies I own on PS4 I'd rebuy for Switch, it's a proper handheld indie machine with amazing AAA's and plenty of last gen ports... A.K.A EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED FROM A NINTENDO MACHINE 😺
I'll stick to hosting a PS4 party with my mates. As it's 2017 we have wireless headsets so we can sit online on one console while playing another, even if that console is working under the premise that the Dreamcast is it's main rival for online play.
This could be a great simple but fun party game, I wish Switch offered more demo's because I fear it's one I'd want to try before I buy.
Games like Astro Duel and De Mambo became instant hits for our party nights but Flip Wars bombed and I've wasted £9 it seems. This could go either way.
3DS is still my favourite handheld ever, I may spend a lot more time on my Switch but that's purely as I have poor vision and a much better screen with HD picture quality helps me greatly.
I'm glad they're keeping the promise of supporting the 3DS even after NX.
Even if it's only Metroid that gets my money,
Never been a Culdcept or Etrian fan, got bored of the Layton's long ago, Superstar Saga is my favourite Mario RPG but they've dropped the ball so much with the franchise I fear the remake will be poor, Gold N Silver is my fave Poke gen but I also got sick of those long ago.
And Pikmin isn't Pikmin, it just isn't, I get why it exists, they clearly wanted a simple 2D kiddy platformer and they decided to use Pikmin to deliver it, but it's not Pikmin and it never will be Pikmin.
If it was top down 2D that would've worked, but a sidescrolling platformer, no.
I play the crap out of these, just had yet another session on Pack 3 tonight.
Pack 1 has some great games, Fibbage, Drawful and the You Don't Know Jack Quiz are great. Word Spud can be fun, Lie Swatter often breaks.
In Pack 2 Earwax gets old fast, not enough sounds or prompts and often times the sounds it gives you for prompts just don't work. Bomb Corps went on once and never again, Bidiots can be good. Quiplash is amazing and so is Fibbage 2.
Pack 3, Trivia Murder is fun, Fakin It is awesome, great tool for learning about new mates. Guesspionage is boring and the facts and trivia are all obscure Murican crap. Tee K.O is awful, just outright awful.
But Quiplash 2, with its ability to make your own prompts. Is the sickest, most racist, most hilarious game ever. I often have party nights where all PC MUST go out the window, the only rule to join the party is don't take offence. We take personal shots at ourselves, our mates, our races, our dissabilities, religion, everything, with the aim to get laughs.
Often times someone calls that we've gone too far but no one ever leaves as they can't wait to see what we say next.
Cleanest one I can post from tonights session.
What is the cost of freedom?
2 Sky Scrapers.
It got a quiplash and our Murican mate who actually witnessed them fall down when he was 6, called us sick, but he voted for it (we all did, hence it got a quiplash) whilst laughing his butt off.
@NewAdvent honestly I agree, I don't know why anyone would pay for Prime JUST for delivery and discounts, the discounts are crap compared to Shopto's prices, £40 for Mario, £38 for Rabbids, £40 for Xeno 2 etc...
I'm a Prime sub purely for Top Gear, everying else is just gravy.
@OorWullie I seem to buy them every gen, right now I have the PS2 collection on PS4 but if the gods of gaming somehow grace the Switch with Metal Slug 1, 2, X, 3, 4, 5, 6 and XX I will buy them all to finally have the whole damn collection on one system.
Glad they ruled it out, Dead Rising on Wii was a pitiful port because of how few Zombies it had so if they need millions of rats they should have millions of rats.
I was really interested but £7+ for a 2 hour game I'd never replay... I don't even go to the cinema because blu rays make a damn site more sense financially to me.
@FX102A business wise it makes absolutley no sense for a 3rd party to make exclusive games.
I mean try to comprehend this, your goal is to make a great game, you can easily put it on XBOX, PS4 and P.C making a lot of money for very little extra work which allows more time to make this game truly great. The dev time that is to say the man hours it takes is a huge drain on your company so you want to be able to easily port it to all major systems.
What you don't want to be doing is making an exclusive game in a new franchise for one console that would then greatly upset your fans on the other systems.
It again, makes no sense what so ever for 3rd parties to do that.
Why else do you think 2nd parties exist? That is essentially a dev team committed to just making exclusive games for one system as they're protected by there parent company.
So no, the 3rd parties are right to want power from Nintendo because they have to support themselves, Ninty aren't going to pay them a fortune to make it worth there while to spend 1,000's of extra hours of manpower to downgrade an XBOX/PS4/PC game to Switch.
And the only time you'll see a 3rd party making an exclusive is when they do just that, like Bayonetta 2 and Mario Rabbids. Which Nintendo probably isn't planning on now going to EA to pay them to make an exclusive, or Bethesda, or Activision etc...
Call Of Duty with Yoshi's, XYZ Golfer Birdo's Birdie edition, The Elder Scrolls 6 Hyrule.
@whitemaskedhero I bought the CE guide and it's the same cover as the American Switch cover, it looks ok, but the EU one looks a lot more like the game does.
I agree with Nordic, it would've been nice if Zelda was either 60fps or 1080p.
But size and pricewise it had to be what it is.
Shame Nintendo don't have MS's ethics with this one, a £600 Switch capable of running full 1080p 60fps docked or in handheld would be something I would buy.

£9 on Vita when it launched, this is a ballsy move and it's cost them a sale.

@OorWullie a lot of those and more are part of the ACA on P.C, XB and PS4 so I think they're safe bets.

Buying it but the price hike worries me, it's on PSN at full game price, Setsuna was a lil cheaper to reflect it was still an indie title at heart.

Re: Switch Isn't Getting A Plague Tale: Innocence As It Can't Handle The Volume Of Vermin Involved
@rjejr yup, I genuinely hate the Nintendo fanboys for this. If you don't make for Ninty you're trash, if you do and fail, you're trash.
Because Ninty can work wonders all other devs are trash or lazy.
Difference is Nintendo HAVE to make there games good as it's THERE console.
3rd parties are there to make games and make money and if down porting it is too much effort, it doesn't get done.
