I feel that character design can sometimes take a backseat to game play.
Ergo a fun world is one you want to live in and hang out with the game's heroes.
That trailer has a bottom in it, as well as some bad words. Be warned!
Sarcasm? The screen grab at the top of the article also has a bottom, and no where in the body of the article is a warning served about the cuss words. I will assume this oversight is due to e3 euphoria...
Think some of the posters are missing the boat on the whole "art style" thing honestly, from what I can tell a lot of the flourish that I would associate with the Wind Waker is coming through in the animations. Just looking at stills or even the scenery I would agree, but this seems to be an attractive game in motion.
@CaviarMeths you're the one who seems to be in a "bubble" of reality, there is nothing to support your claim of good sales numbers for this entry. Retailers slashed the price in reaction to flogging sales, and I'm certain they didn't order copies to replace the sold ones.
Heres a quotation I found hilarious (in reference to Sakomoto's involvement):
Responding to criticism that was raised on the game's story, Yosuke Hayashi explained in a September 2011 interview with G4 TV that it was "definitely the product of Mr. Sakamoto at Nintendo. We definitely worked with them on the project, but that was all him."
Oh I quite enjoyed the review portion, my comment wasn't meant to undermine your reviewing style. Final scores are too arbitrary though and invite comparison with other, dissimilar games.
The Super Dodge Ball: Advance game was pretty darn cool, beating elite teams and unlocking their players, or choosing an underrated squad for their unique throws. Sounds like I would get some mileage from the NES version as well.
This has certainly become twisted, into another occasion to admonish fanboys and tell them how stupid they are to care about their hobby.
I don't think April Fools gives anyone license to say or do illicit things under the guise of humor. Had these tweets actually been endorsed by EA I still would have thought them strange, but instead they amount to sabotage of EA's reputation by some twit of an employee lol
@Koffeeking0407 isn't the only one who just watched a trailer with all the bouncy boob ladies, right?
All the mature people who surely garner no pleasure from the fan service. Your position is equally hypocritical, does it make you uncomfortable that someone would choose not to buy this game?
I do understand what you're saying @Squiggle55, but I feel like it's a contrived argument. Why should anyone care what somebody does with their own money - it's simply no one's business IMO. The app creator wants to walk away from a personal catastrophe, there is too much bad will generated by the whole situation. To try and channel that for good, I just think it's too late... Humble Bundle and other gaming initiatives do a great job of contributing, there's no need to ride the coat tails of the now infamous project.
So... the first season is actually just a remake of Moon? I thought the episodic structure began with Moon, and then proceeded immediately into new territory.
Looks like I might have to eat crow for some of my earlier comments, because that price model / wait for content is starting to sound flimsy.
@unrandomsam I appreciate what you're saying but throwing the developer under the bus just won't change the way Nintendo Life handles its coverage. The fact is Jools Watsham is a prolific developer for the 3DS; you can expect his games to appear, especially when they fill gaps in the 3DS line up. While your concerns about the quality of his offerings are valid, there is no reason to doubt his sincerity of purpose in bringing these games to Nintendo systems.

Re: Review: The Fall (Wii U eShop)
Not enough paragraphs for me to read AND feel informed enough about the author's conceptions. Hm.
Re: Video: Nintendo Minute's August Favourites Are Rather Good
@unrandomsam I'm going to be picky and say that a possibly flawed observation on Krysta's part doesn't really equate to her being soulless. Or ginger.
But then I'm a big fan of this show,
and that screengrab is heart-warming
Re: The Keep Begins Its 3DS eShop Quest on 11th September
Well this looks kind of like Grimrock, which I own but have yet to play.
So, yeah... guess I will stick with that for now.
Re: Video: Evolution And Biking Shown In Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire
BUH -BA- BAAAAAA
^ What you will miss if your sound isn't all the way up.
Re: Nintendo's At It Again With Another Majora's Mask Tease
Just have fun with it guys, for me it's nice to see a classic get this kind of attention.
No point in getting all sore over it, as if Nintendo Life can't publish whatever they want.
Re: Hyrule Warriors Direct Reveals New Items and Character Progression Information
Tapping Y repeatedly... that would seem to summarize this game, dunno if that's a bad thing but seems meme worthy to me.
Re: Ganondorf Confirmed as a Playable Character in Hyrule Warriors
Ganondorf looks like a constipated football player, sorry to say.
Re: Renegade Kid Announces Metroidvania Game Xeodrifter for 3DS eShop
That screenshot looks pretty tight in 3D, just saying.

I hear the localization team is expanding, with an armchair analyst wing.

Going to buy everything pictured.
Re: Retro-Styled 2D Action Adventure, Midora, Hits Funding Target and Will Come to Wii U and 3DS
Well... darn, am I the only one supporting this?
Looks cool and they have a lot of momentum in these final minutes.
Re: Moon Chronicles to Hit Europe in Q4 This Year, Including All Episodes in One
Episodes are stupid, actually, I just checked.
There will probably be some kind of discount rate for the whole package, which would be much preferable to a slow drip of content at the going rate.
Re: Video: Watch Our Handy Highlight Video To See How Nintendo Silenced Its Critics At E3 2014
I realize this is beating a dead horse, but what an obvious blunder to make having a dude talk while obscuring the actual content!!?
Seriously this is a reputable site but the video content is not there yet.

Good comments. xD
It's actually rather striking oriented that way.

Haha! If this message was placed at the head of many a comments section, it might prepare me for what's to come.

Re: Review: Hometown Story (3DS)
@MAB
Way to cherry pick those titles which don't garner strong reviews.
And ignore the rest of the (excellent) 3DS library
That's irresponsible, even for a troll!
Re: Download Developer Hits a "Brick Wall" When Trying to Reach Nintendo Indie Executive for Interview
Someone is bitter.
Re: Feature: Kickstarter's Wii U and 3DS Campaigns - 20th April
@wrackune
Fair enough, I've edited my comment slightly. ^.^
...Just wanted to add, the $20 tier looks pretty good so I'll definitely think about contributing.
Re: Feature: Kickstarter's Wii U and 3DS Campaigns - 20th April
@wrackune don't mind those guys... just a cult of personality if you ask me!
Hex Heroes looks to be one of the more stalwart offerings, comparatively.
Re: Here's a Rather Attractive Portable Nintendo 64
While this is clearly a victory for mankind, I still would prefer the TV.

Overwhelmingly positive review, ends in a 6 / 10.
Could just be me, though. xD

So the dissonant sound was not only ear straining, but a portent of this game's ill fate. Glad for the warning!
Re: Nintendo Shows Off April's Game Boy Advance Wii U Virtual Console Line-up
Advance Wars (or Advanced Wars, colloquially ) is insanely good.
But that Metroid Fusion trailer... all my terror.

@Action51 Nice!
Re: Animal Crossing Creator Discusses How Mobile Apps Could Affect Your ''Second Home''
Let's hope Nintendo hires you @bouncer0304
I really think a cell phone app would improve the game's immersion (even more) if done correctly.
Re: Animal Crossing Creator Discusses How Mobile Apps Could Affect Your ''Second Home''
I've always felt the potential for this, as a way to keep tabs on your town.
Buying furniture with a few taps of your cell phone would be neat-o.
Re: Keiji Inafune Discusses the Indie Experience in Japan and Shows New Mighty No. 9 Footage
Heck of a motivational speaker, this guy, Japan is lucky to have him.
Re: Big Red Button Explains Its Sonic Boom Character Designs, and Admits They Could Have Been Wackier
This is like... Nintendo gives a third-party license to its Mario universe, and they some how replace overalls with Master Chief's armor.
It really doesn't make any sense for the character, and the development team is just spinning its wheels until the artists rein in their "creativity".
Re: Weirdness: This Super Mario 64 Fan Remake is Fairly Impressive
@maceng
Agree, I think the point should be how far the animations have come along. Truthfully it's not so great as a video reveal, but it's an OK tech-demo.
Re: Video: The Top 20 Wii U Games So Far - Part One
Not really sure about that voice changer effect.
It's more I kidnapped your son than manly announcer voice.
At least to me.

Re: As The Maker Of Flappy Bird Withdraws His Creation, Nintendo Denies Any Legal Complaint
@Squiggle55 eh? There is enough money in this world, not all of it needs to go to charity. Not sure I understand your point though.
But it's his money, and I do bristle at the charity suggestion — as if it's your money or the Internet's or something?
