Or how about the whole JonTron controversy where the developers were so fearful of an opinion that (contrary to the whims of their market) made the decision to retract his voice from the game. For fear of incensing a delicate audience with an allusion to the realities of our world.
Since you are up on the situation I assume you are aware he has retracted those statements. And it’s further likely that you don’t accept his apology.
Hopefully you are equally fastidious towards other personalities who make mistakes. Otherwise I find this whole discourse entirely hypocritical. Forgive me but I don’t think black and white judgements are apt in many situations, particularly for our hobby which doesn’t typically search for high morals in eating mushrooms and flinging sloths.
PewDiePie hate is even less mature than his online persona... which is just that. Dislike for him (there) shouldn’t imply he is producing garbage in the form of software?
I mean successful entrepreneurs are an easy target for vitriol but don’t tell me it’s justified.
How come your posts are always related to you being horny for some dude? I mean even when playing games which aren't striving for fan service... and a Mario title. E gads dude. Like do whatever but hearing about your libido in every page is getting weird.
@Equinox you're insane, one of those watch the world burn types.
This is a stifling of competition and absolutely not a return of business to smaller retailers. In fact this signals the further consolidation into mega corporations which will either last eternal, or bring down the American economy if and when they are shuttered.
@PtM this type of game strictly speaking doesn't appeal to me, nor would I be limited to Switch as a platform on which to play. You know my comments had nothing to do with whether or not consumers should feel a need to purchase or make a habit of embracing buggy titles.
I would prefer to take the wait and see approach as advocated here [on Nintendo Life] perhaps the game will improve suitably. Otherwise, equally likely, a new review will be posted to reflect the poor quality of the overall package.
Y'all should chill the bleep out, the game just released. This will be ironed out through some easy to download patches and a score will be given to reflect the (hopefully) finished scope of the game.
Dabbing on the entertainment providers like you are entitled to flawless peerless entertainment on the first day it becomes available, seems like the real problem to me.
I have rather mixed feelings about the direction Nintendo should take with regard to past and present systems for current games. The guiding principle should be one of fairness and inclusion for gamers on both sides of the proverbial fence. New customers who are converting to the platform which is generating more sales are privileged in some sense and that's more of a reality than a ploy.
I can't really forgive Nintendo for jettisoning the Gamepad which had already been implemented, just for the sake of parity. To me this shows how hackneyed the process is behind the scenes, and why common sense dictates buying the new hardware as a future proofing measure. When they made a decision to support the game on two platforms it naturaly prompted immediate comparisons, and Nintendo is prone to stumble when choosing between it's two favorite children.
Honestly, this review is going to look pretty one-sided in a few weeks. The patch will drop and then system differences will go away. I don't think the controversy surrounding the game needs to be included.
How come they always compare things to a past performer?
The story of the Wii U is well told, one of the most extreme examples of a dying fad. Longevity is the name of the game here, I just don't think it's a fruitful story.
"I just want to make it clear to you, as well as any other random people visiting this message board that you don't speak for all white people, and you're embarrassing us."
This is a fascinating statement, essentially you are claiming to be either a vocal minority or defacto majority. Who or what falls under your purview I wonder, do you have the same preconceived notions about the views of all the members of the Nintendo Life community? And those who don't agree, how would they be categorized I wonder.
EDIT
"Well, you're still typing and responding, which I have no power to stop you from doing, and it's obvious you learned nothing."
Holy smokes! Yeah thankfully you aren't a mod, I think one power trip per day should be like a limit.
I am not picking on you, but whatever makes you feel comfortable and stops the bullying would be appreciated. Thank you.
@electrolite77
Sorry to hear that you disagree with my position, the great thing is you are free to come to your own conclusions. I could have just kept my opinion to myself, but decided to share. You can also skip over ideas that are not conducive to your own mindset.
The reason @SLIGEACH_EIRE has come to garner such a negative reputation is because all too often, they open a door filled with balloons and throw in a hydrogen bomb. Or a porcupine.
We are all guilty of the odd comment which may be lacking in perspective, but there is something to be said for offering opinions from a constructive mindset.
There is no reason or excuse to abandon the platform, and Switch owners (like myself) need not get to proud as it likely speaks ill of the project as well. Clearly if they had the Wii U in mind from a development standpoint, that version should be intact and released for what is still a decent install base. Betting the farm on the Switch is dumb no matter what, as a move that alienates potential consumers across both platforms.
You seem to be an increasingly toxic presence on this site, it's funny how you falsely equate Reggie with the system sales facts. Totally false narrative on your part, which leaves little justification.
I honestly don't there is any user who carries more animosity toward Nintendo than you. When you consider that gaming is just a hobby and not a creed or right, it's sad to see your estate so bitterly expressed.
All I am asking for is some clarification on your other post, you are being so obnoxious it's hard to embrace your points. Whatever has your wires crossed must have happened in an earlier post, and I already wasted enough time reading what amounts to total nonsense.
It's really hard to parse through all that text and references for a point, articles don't really prove much without context. Especially when the quality of the source is in doubt and they are just opinion pieces.
The price tag doesn't come in to the review unless there's a severe lack of content. What's nice to see here is a genuinely new Bomber Man game, and it seems to have struck this reviewer positively.
I think he's being very polite / diplomatic in his wording, rather than say "the junk peddlers have been pushed to the curb." Which seems to be just exactly how they've handled them, and would have taken some cojones honestly.
I think he's on point here, for anyone who took the time reading his statements he understands the relevance of this console versus what's been available. There's no question he enjoyed Zelda, anyone would. Particularly when it comes with a paid gig, and you get to chill on a couch and play games!
@gatorboi352 not "untrue", simply his opinion likely after spending some time with the system.
"We also took this chance to create a complete new user interface to make better use of the higher resolution. This new user interface is even quicker and more responsive then the original which is a perfect fit for a racing game."
So if you did read the article, you missed this bit.
Pretty funny that people are defending this bum deal of a news item, when that means less value for the dollar and potentially an underwhelming experience.
Just means Reggie can stay in bed instead of trying to communicate that hard sell to thirsty gamers!
What's up with the insanely high detail on those images? It would definitely be awesome to see them take advantage of the Switch to push more glorious pixels.
What's with the asinine comments, why don't you fanboys join Playstation or Xbox et al? Then when Miyamoto's name comes up in your forums you can spout off like a bunch of ungrateful whiners.
Nier might share one or two of Bayonetta's trappings but the gameplay is entirely its own.
Also forgot they were both made by Platinum which I should have realized. This just has me more hyped for the next gen leap than any of their other games.
Are these developers braindead or something, the gimping of first party games continues. Who is going to help these people get out of their insular bubble?
Having separate content would be very pleasing to current gen owners and their Wii U consoles. The additional features would encourage new console sales, it would likely tempt some fans to purchase both. I surely would.

Quantity does not subvert quality.
I think choosing games with big names is fine but don't pass judgement on titles you don't recognize.

I don't see why a new project should be poo-pooed in lieu of games which are playable else where.

The SJW's already destroyed this topic, which is hardly a surprise.

Anyway, hate to cry boycott yet as a personal choice this one will be skipped.
