Oh man people are all emotional about it and somehow mildly positive professional reviews are biased?
Most Switch games aren't compared with BotW, DQ11s overworld also looks bad in comparison
How oninaki is better than Sword and shield in user scores? Is that logic and unbiased?
The game looks like a 7 to low 8s to me, seeing footage plus reading some reviews, so 10s are more accurate than zeroes in the end, not sure why people try to dismiss it as 'both sides are wrong or something, feels like they're sympathizing with the bombing
I was thinking if there were a pattern or a theme in the differences between versions... Is there any reason some people always pick the first or the second one? I guess the first (Sword in this case) tends to sell more but that's it?? Anyway, preferred Zacian but some of the exclusives of Shield were better... Oh well... But Sword it is I think
Bad PR geez I guess Nintendo will need to give them a training or something I guess balancing everything would be a nightmare and most people don't even complete the regional dex anyway But that was a bad ideia, they would get caught eventually ...but the game still looks good to me actually Fire Emblem looks bad in battles, specially the battalions around; DQ11S has aliasing and enemy pop in; BotW drops frames and resolution Anyway, reviews are out in one hour, let's see
It's still not BotW Pokémon but it will be interesting... The first trailer looked like it would be like the 3ds ones, then in the next one... Wild area! Still, slightly reserved because of the pop in and also looks like the Pokemon just randomly rotate instead of having some sort of behaviour... But still it will be awesome seeing them in the wild
Picked up Luigi's Mansion, couldn't resist At first I wanted to save money and buy only one $60 game this year Maybe I'll still buy Pokémon... But I'll wait for reviews
@rafaelribeiro99 I see what you mean but botw runs at a higher resolution and the art style suits way more the switch hardware, so actually it's not a good comparison Also I read about how in BotW most enemies are bigger than you, so it's still clear to see them on portable mode, and that's probably not true on The Witcher, plus the lower res Actually there are non-Nintendo-focused websites scoring this one even lower than 9 But it's interesting to see people being so passionate about it, I hope this game holds up to it
This version is not even out yet and people wanna score it higher wtf Anyway This one sounds awesome, never played it before, some friends of mine really like it I'll try to find a physical copy at a reasonable price as nintendo abandoned south america
Sounds like it respects your time I just can't binge-play anymore, now it's interesting how dedicating 10 hours to one single thing is considered 'short' Anyway, interested because of the overall presentation and Toby Fox soundtrack, but better check a bit more about the battle system
@BlueOcean uhh the Switch has 4gb of RAM vs xbox 360 512mb, also it's like 1 teraflop vs 240 gigaflops from the x360 In comparison, the xbone has 1.3 teraflops Maybe there's some other factors, but RE Revelations 2 is newer, looks better, and runs better anyway
Played the RE6 demo, noticed that there was some lips desyncing in the beginning, could notice the framedrops during gameplay too, but it's... playable, the bare minimum
Man I didn't know why people bash RE6, but, there's so many QTEs and things exploding, it's over the top in a cartoony way, and there's so much interruptions to the gameplay
Buut really got interested in the Leon campaign (the demo goes to the Chris one after the intro)
Gonna add that it has cop chases! Just saw some 1vs1 race with cops to mess with you, also a 'hunted' event where it's just you against lots of cops It's one of the best arcade racing games on the Switch, too bad people are scared off with the free to play stuff, though the offline quick race / challenge mode is fine (but only the online events give you cars I think)
Turns out I didn't pick any $60 game yet
Lots of solid exclusives though
This was a good year for indies too, I got Baba is You, Katana Zero, My Friend Pedro, Risk of Rain 2, Pikuniku. Also there was some solid re-releases of games I've never played before, got Cuphead, but will surely pick Obra Dinn and maybe A Hat In Time and Ori
Actually they gave those same discounts individually before Was hoping for a bigger discount on Quest... Anyway, I got Dig 2 before, can confirm it's nice
Yeah, couldn't keep up with it but was checking the Serebii Twitter Those Ponytas are so cute, for sure I'll train one Must've been cool if somebody were just casually looking at the feed and saw them
I had some resistance for turn based combat when I was younger, but then I tried Pokémon and it felt so right You're a trainer, giving commands, so it made sense Maybe they could try real-time command issuing or something like that in the future, but it's fine the way it was
Yep, now there's a new gray animation, as @ALinkttPresent mentioned
Reading it I thought there was no click effect at all
Maaaybe that's a never-seen-before default no-color effect and it's a bug, but it's different, filled with gray instead of just being outlined
Risk of rain 2 for me, insta buy (it's in a rough shape but the core mechanics are just too awesome, also I picked up for $8 in Argentina, probably the $30 price tag will scare people off)
Still planning on picking up eventually Hotline Miami, Superhot and Invisigun (Invisigun deserves more attention btw)
Could be Terry from Fatal Fury or Marco from Metal Slug
I actually would be happy with Marco, I beat the whole Metal Slug collection on the ps2 with my brother
Btw, Sabi (the leaker that was warned by Nintendo before E3) said to not dismiss the SNK listing as a mistake
@JediKadabra it's okay, but there's some short pauses when there's too many explosions or when that level up flag power up spawns
Noticeably lower than native resolution on docked mode
Also looks like all shadows are pre rendered or deactivated. The player character's shadow is just a circle
Definitely playable though
It's really cheap on the Argentinian eshop, like U$8
Just picked it up
Soo nice seeing those enemies again but in 3d
But it's hard, the "can't get past the first level" kind of hard
Would be awesome if they add gyro at some point... I guess it's just too unbalanced for analog sticks
Edit: just completed my first loop, I'm getting the hang of it
Played a while ago with some friends, it's pretty cool, maybe I'll pick it up for the Switch
...I could swear it had another name
Still inconclusive if the Reloaded is the original version or it is like a definitive edition or something
Edit: oh it is a new version and probably the older pc ones simply got replaced
Yep, picking this one up digital 6gb is okay, I have a 128gb sd Plus there's no official physical games in my country, so the prices are more or less equivalent to $80 if you're lucky
EA do has games other than FIFA and The Sims Personally I'm a fan of Mirrors' Edge and McGee's Alice Also they own Criterion which is my favorite racing game developer (Burnout series + Hot Pursuit 2010) Probably they've started the micro transaction craze after 2013 when the EA Sports' VP was appointed CEO I for sure condemn shady business practices from nowadays' but also do dislike people trying to erase their history
Bring it I really liked Drill Dozer, wish they could make more original games... So disappointed when I learned that there was a recent 2d game from them called Giga Wrecker but it didn't look that promising
I still wonder what they were doing after DKTF 🤔 Anyway, nice news Still, I hope they have the original script... There was a small cliffhanger or something
This is on sale for less than 1 dollar now
Tried the demo, the gameplay is set up in a way that you just care about timing and distance, but instead of being a generic auto runner you can do lots of awesome-looking stuff
Also, I loved letting the theme and characters as 'random', so every new level has a different look
Oh my, there's only one 'authorized' place in my country, luckily I live in the biggest city which happens to have the place. But, I'm not sure how it's trustworthy... Guess I'll keep spraying contact cleaners for a while
Niice
At least they're supporting it now that the Switch has the best selling version, not sure how much trouble was or their priority to move it to the Switch
I'll wait for a sale though, maybe the game will have better performance by then
@RevampedSpider why?
Do you dislike TowerFall and Celeste?
Or maybe it's because the lead designer is not Brazilian... but actually the visuals for both games were made by MiniBoss, a Brazilian studio
Actually one of the members even has writing credits in Celeste
@N00BiSH 😂 I've never played It, maybe I will then
Felt bad for the devs though, there's a interview with the lead designer where he says they were in an expo, then they saw Mario 64 at Nintendo's booth and then went like 'oh my, we cannot ship this'
@DarthFoxMcCloud I still didn't buy It too but this video made me some more interested https://youtu.be/vaYoUliL4jA

Basically for him people don't need to make levels to enjoy it, people that like to play 2d Mario now will have lots of creative levels to play
But, if you want to make a level but think that It won't be good, just remember that all the Mario controls and physics are fun by itself, so even simple levels are still fun
@MikaelForslind oh so sorry for bothering. I forgot for a moment that behind those company names there are actual people. I didn't even see the tweet before it, just went straight into judgement. Just checked your work, Alwa's Awakening looks interesting What's up with Sweden and its concentration of good indie devs 🤔 Wish you guys good fortune
@Spustatu Hm a interview comment was fine in retrospect, but I actually got more bothered with the Elden Pixels part, tagging Nintendo on Twitter, for me that's kinda 'in your face' Maybe it's better to pitch the idea like Brace Yourself Games did, not appeal to a public to back it up
