Some people have all the fun. An amazing piece of fan-art has been created by YouTuber "TheDominoKing" dedicated to everyone's favourite electric mouse.
The setup sees 22,177 dominoes lined up perfectly before being knocked over appropriately with a Pickachu plushie. What happens next is satisfying chaos as the tiles knock one another down revealing clearer images of Pokémon trainer Red, Pickachu and a Poké Ball.
Check out the video for yourself below:
The project took five days and is one of many Nintendo themed domino trails that the YouTuber has created. Other pieces of art include The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker which consisted of 78,175 dominoes and Super Mario World that came in at 81,032 dominoes.
What do you think of the fan project? Would you knock over the dominoes before you reached 100? Leave us a comment.

Someone has too much time on their hands.
@dizzy_boy You're on a video game site. We are all hear because we too much time on our hands.
I'm any case, kudos to the person who did this. That's pretty impressive.
Pickachu?
@dizzy_boy Other than the hundreds of thousands of people that have watched his videos?
EDIT: His Super Mario World video has over 3 million views. He must be doing something right =)
I remember the Wind Waker one and I was just amazed at how good it was. This youtuber has tons of cool videos like this on video game creations. I tried making some art one time and it takes so much time and skill to make these, especially if you want them to turn out as well as these do.
Impressive, though a project like that would give me tremendous anxiety, as I would be horrified to knock it over with every placement. The fact that I'm hypoglycemic and not exactly steady-handed doesn't help.
like @dizzy_boy said. someone has too much time on their hands. if i had that much time on my hands i would find something better to do with it.
one thing that comes to mind is playing Splatoon 2. at least that gives me a reason to socialize with others. playing with dominoes is a solo activity...
@Hikingguy @stevenw45 Nevermind that he very likely made a decent amount of money for doing something he enjoyed. Millions of youtube views. Hard to criticize how he spends his time, when he made something millions of people enjoyed watching, while we waste time posting on video game sites and playing games =) If it's a hobby he enjoys doing (Obviously he does) then I say this is pretty awesome and time well spent.
@roadrunner343 Ehhh looking at the states it appears he could of made anywhere from $31 - $501 the day he uploaded.
@Nintendoforlife For that video, perhaps - but he likely made quite a bit more for his previous with several million views. Even still, let's assume he only ever makes $200 per video... if it's a hobby he enjoys, even that tiny amount is pretty cool for something he likely would be doing anyway. I enjoy my hobbies without being paid.
@Hikingguy
i know that people have done bigger more impressive artwork with dominoes. too bad i am not interested in dominoes. however, i do agree with you on how he did a great job with the dominoes.
@roadrunner343
i have to agree he did do a good job. and it seems as though you do agree with me. everyone has a hobby that can be considered a waste of time. that might not always matter since the only reason why you have a hobby is because you found an activity in which you enjoy.
@roadrunner343 This year he's slated to make anywhere from: $9.9K - $158.3K
@Nintendoforlife Heh, I wish any of my hobbies made that much money =D Even on the low end. The closest thing I've ever come to was a photography business I ran with my wife (Because of her photography hobby) and we probably came out about $10k in the hole after about 5 years of it.
EDIT: Also curious... how/where did you come up with those figures?
It would be a shame if...
@stevenw45
We actually all have the same amount of time on our hand. What we choose to do with it, is the difference. Interesting you choose to compare 'social lives' with this guy without knowing what his is like. Someone seems to have a high opinion of said 'social life'
Wow that is actually really cool!
@roadrunner343 SocialBlade.com of course
Sugoi !
@OneArmedGiant
i think you read too much into my comment. you are right, i do not know what his social life is like. besides, i was just generalizing the activities in the base form that i was introduced to them.
either way, i do realize that the popularity of activities change all the time and i have a feeling that he has a better social life than i.
but remember, this is the age of the internet. almost everything ends up on the internet now a days in one way or another.
and sorry if i said anything that sounded to judgmental in one way or another. hopefully we will see more work by "TheDominoKing" later. his work is nice.
Absolutely amazing, love it. Great share NLife!
@stevenw45
It's all good. Your aloud your opinion. I just like to reply to comments to get people thinking about what they actually write. I expect others to do the same to me because I know I come across as a bit of a w@#ker some times.👍🏻
Nice.
