@sketchturner I understand. Personally I just have my PC hooked up to my TV like a console anyway, so I play it at parties all the time, but the switch portability is nice.

@sketchturner If you can, get the Steam version of rivals of aether. It has very easy to use mod integration, and people have made amazing characters from across all sorts of video games and other media.

It's because there's no voice acting, which makes everything seem weirdly quiet.

That trailer was shockingly underwhelming to me. The lack of voice acting especially is just so bad. I really want to love pokemon again, but I think I'm just too old.

This would've been cool! I'd love a tactics game set in zelda lore.

@NiallMitch14 I basically only game in switch and PC. Would you say the 8bitdo you have is better than an Xbox controller?

Or you could just get a switch pro controller which works on PC AND has better rumble.

I'm gonna get this on PC. I don't think the Switch version will run too well.

@Zorox88 Yeah ORAS was the last Pokemon game I was addicted to. Arceus was pretty good too, but I stopped playing after a beat it.

I think they remade the wrong game. I feel like Pacman World 2 is much better.

Don't have a PS5 and I'm just going to wait for Ragnarok to come to PC, so I'm fine just getting this game instead.

@somebread that's actually not true. Only if you want to play online are the characters locked. If you play locally against someone you get every character. I did this last night.

@Freek Agreed, they are pretty awful. I only use them attached to the switch. The pro controller on the other hand, is one of the best and sturdiest controllers I've ever used.

I know this is a Nintendo fan site, so fanboys will fanboy, but this game is actually pretty great and quite different from smash. You can play locally with other players and every character is immediately unlocked as well.

Big mistake that they didn't include new characters and costumes as well.

Is there an actual way point marker now? One of the reasons I gave up playing 2, was due to how terrible it was to navigate the world.

They need to showcase the game too.

If Prime one is more like a Crash Bandicoot NSane trilogy kind of remaster, then I'll take it. Hopefully it doesn't just look like Prime 1, but on Dolphin emulator.

Is the performance at 60 fps on Switch? Only thing keeping me from choosing between Switch or steam.

I don't like the sound of that "summoning characters from the past" thing. Hopefully that's not a main mechanic or part of the story. Usually stories suffer when crossover stuff is involved.

@RubyCarbuncle As someone who kind of wants the Steam Deck, why do you regret it? I didn't end up buying one because I have a laptop, which I can technically take places, but it's less convenient.

The cartridges wouldn't be different. Just sounds like the game will randomize stuff when it boots up for the first time.

I think there could have been a better way that "mammalians" could have been done besides just taking the octolings and making their tentacles furry. Maybe give them real people hair mixed with octopus tentacles or something.

This sounds okay. I loved the original, but dont know if I need to pay 60 dollars for it again. After playing the online test thing I'm glad I'm not getting it day one. Would rather save the money for Fire Emblem 3 Hopes.

A jackbox style game that actually uses Smart Phones could be really cool actually! This sounds awful though.

Not sure why Nintendo Life didn't mention this in their review. You need to UNLOCK multiplayer to play it, which involves beating the whole game in singleplayer first.

The only lack of diversity I see is skin color. Sexual orientation literally does not matter in a game like Mario.

I don't really need a story mode, but this better have some singleplayer cups we can work through like in the originals.

Not filling it out. I already did last year. The answer is always yes, but I doubt they will listen.

There's nothing that NEEDS innovating though. Just give it nice graphics and online multiplayer.
