The eleventh expansion to the Sword & Shield series expansion for The Official Pokémon Trading Card Game is due out on 9th September, and we can exclusively reveal one of the brand new cards that you'll desperately want on your deck, courtesy of The Pokémon Company International.
This new Giratina card is called 'Giratina V' and the art is, honestly, stunning. This intimidating-looking Giratina is one your opponents should be scared of, as it comes with a pair of deadly abilities. So while your opponent is gawping at the design, you'll be able to turn the tide in your favour.
As with other V rule cards, if your opponent does manage to beat Giratina down, then they'll be able to pick up 2 prize cards.
Here's the official description of the card, along with an even better look at its gorgeous design:
"Defy the rules with Giratina V, the Renegade Pokémon! Use the power of Abyss Seeking to look at the top 4 cards of your deck, take 2, and send the rest to the Lost Zone! Then pierce the veil with Shred to do 160 damage, regardless of any effects on the Defending Pokémon!"
The Lost Origins expansion is already out in Japan, and it'll be here in just over a month! But this is one card you'll want to seek out when the expansion launches next month.
What do you think of this Giratina card? Let us know in the comments!

Very happy the Lost Zone is finally back again (even if the general look for it reminds me of Helter Skelter ice lollies).
I don't know whether I'll be getting this immediately between the new Pokemon GO set and a rumoured special set for Christmas time (featuring previously Japan-exclusive promos at that!) but I do like to get at least one pack of each new set that comes out so hopefully I can continue that trend whenever possible!
Also the Cramorant from the set is one hell of a mood.
This reads like an ad.
Please make an article for each individual pokemon TCG card 😂
@darkswabber That's because it is
Dang, using the lost zone again?
They digging deep for new card gimmicks 😂
Interested to see if this card gets a Vmax or Vstar card.
Already got my booster box preordered.
Ah, Lost Zone. Reminds me of the time when I started playing competetive Pokemon TCG (I played for about 7 years).
Been getting into the online tcg game lately, must of spent around £100 on code cards for various packs, so definitely looking forward to this expansion. Just wish they would hurry and relasse the new pokemon tcg live in the UK.
Also can't wait to the card art for the new crystalized formes when the first Violet/Scarlet set releases.
It's not that great of a card in the current meta. Requiring Grass energy is kinda rough. It would be way more useful of it was Dark instead of Grass. I guess the lost zone is making a comeback so who knows what cards will be useful again. Finding a good strategy against Solrock/Lunatone deck has been a pain.
