Re: Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Sells 500,000 Copies Worldwide On Nintendo Switch

NinNin

@Paraka You can like some games of a company, but you don't have to be a fan of that company or like other games of that company. Not everyone who likes or praises Splatoon and/or Mario is a Nintendo fan. I like God of War, but I don't think I'm a Sony fan. I think you can replace "Nintendo fans" in your post with "some people."

Re: Rumour: SNK Is Readying a New Switch Release for 2018

NinNin

@gaga64 Emily Rogers was right about everything about the Switch:
"Custom Nvidia GPU chip
Region Free (No region lock)
Six inch (6.2 inch?) multi-touch screen (Heard nothing about a stylus)
The touchscreen has 720p resolution.
32GB of built-in internal storage
SD card support
Supports USB 2.0 and 3.0
The dock has two 2.0 usb ports and one 3.0 usb port.
The portable device is around 14 – 15 mm in thickness.
The right analogue stick (or circle pad?) will be below the face buttons.
Camera and microphone are not built into/inside the NX (Switch) portable device.
Cooling is still a little noisy
Detachable controllers (motion controls and next-gen vibration technology) <– Everything Laura Kate Dale said in her article was correct.
Share / Social button that Laura Kate Dale posted is true.
There are at least two shoulder buttons.
Battery Life — Ehhh not great. I haven’t heard an exact number of hours, but it doesn’t sound great.
Below PS4 and XB1 in raw power.
Supports Unreal Engine 4 and Unity Engine."

Re: Switch Has Beaten The PlayStation 2's Year-One Sales In Japan

NinNin

@NotSoCryptic Your wrote so much, but communicated so little. Everyone knows that the Switch is weaker than the PS4. Sony won't release a PS4 Portable/Hybrid because it must be as powerful as the base PS4 model, which is impossible, or the battery will last only less than an hour, or it will cost $800.

Re: Amazon Switch Game Placeholders Add More Weight To January Nintendo Direct Rumours

NinNin

@QwertyQwerty "So let's say, hypothetically, Amazon decides that a title is mid tier and slaps a $40 price tag on it. The RRP comes out and it's $50. But due to the Amazon preorder guarantee, they are obligated to sell it at $40 to those who pre-order.

So what's the solution, and one we've seen employed since the launch of the platform? If in doubt, it's a full price release - like a tag of $60."

If that is the case, they can just set the prices of all titles to $1,000. There is no need to set different prices.

Re: Review: Hiragana Pixel Party (Switch eShop)

NinNin

@Anti-Matter How many かんじ do you know?

@JayJ Knowing just ひらがな characters isn't enough to understand Japanese text. It's like you hope to understand English text by just learning the English alphabet. Also, ひらがな is just one of the three main sets of characters used in Japanese.

Re: Nintendo Has Reportedly Delayed the Roll-Out of 64GB Switch Game Cartridges

NinNin

@RainbowGazelle You didn't say that. This article is about the delay of 64 GB game cards, and you said that it was one of the main reasons you weren't buying a Switch. In my opinion, that's a very poor reason, but that's okay. You don't even need a reason to not buy a console. It's your choice to buy or not buy any console. However, if your reason is what you said later, you hadn't made it clear at first. That's why you got that response.

@sillygostly To be fair, RainbowGazelle's comment can be taken as a trolling. It probably wasn't his intention, but it can be interpreted that way.

Re: Nintendo Switch Continues to Dominate in Japan

NinNin

@Razer Gematsu is a website that reports Media Create results. It also reports video game news. If you look at the article, you will see that NintendoLife cites Gematsu. Media Create is reliable. It was founded in 1998. You can cross-check its data with Famitsu's data. I don't think Media Create discloses its sources, but if you think about it logically, Nintendo, Sony, and many Japanese video game companies wouldn't let Media Create spread misinformation every week. According to Nintendo, the Switch sold 10 million units in 9 months. This means that the average global sales per month from March 2017 to November 2017 is about 1.11 million units.

By the way, I don't see the global sales numbers of the PS4 and Switch in November 2017 on the page you linked.

Re: Nintendo Switch Continues to Dominate in Japan

NinNin

@Razer Maybe you don't know that NintendoLife reports Media Create sales regularly for a long time. They reported them before the Switch was released.

"Global sales for PS4 by end of Nov was 845k

Nintendo by end of Nov was 419k...................."

I don't know about the PS4 number, but the Switch number is obviously wrong. According to Media Create, the Switch sold 436,927 units in Japan during 11/6/17 to 12/3/17:
https://gematsu.com/2017/11/media-create-sales-11617-111217
https://gematsu.com/2017/11/media-create-sales-11-13-17-11-19-17
https://gematsu.com/2017/11/media-create-sales-11-20-17-11-26-17
https://gematsu.com/2017/12/media-create-sales-11-27-17-12-3-17

Do you have a source? I want to know which website provides this false information.

@Gaeus The sales number is incorrect. Even if he means the sales in the US and Europe, it's still highly unlikely to be true.

Re: Nintendo Switch Continues to Dominate in Japan

NinNin

@raisenv The reason is probably the same as the reason that the PS4 sells much better than the PS4 Pro in Japan.

@NewAdvent It's a given that Bayonetta 2, Kirby, and Yoshi won't be the only first-party games that will release next year. It's rumored that there will be a Nintendo Direct in January 2018. Let's see what Nintendo has to offer.

According to VGChartz, Kirby: Planet Robobot sold 0.21 million copies in Europe. Not great, but it's decent. Yoshi's Woolly World sold 0.51 million copies in Europe. That's a good number. I don't know why you think that new Kirby and Yoshi games will sell poorly in Europe.

Re: Nintendo Switch Continues to Dominate in Japan

NinNin

@Agramonte I see. AFAIK, NintendoLife doesn't usually report NPD results. I think it's as @Gerbwmu said that NintendoLife reports NPD results when Nintendo has statements on them. So in this case, I don't think NintendoLife cherry-picks NPD results.

Re: Nintendo Switch Continues to Dominate in Japan

NinNin

@WhistleFish Some people don't have multiple consoles. Even one has multiple consoles, I don't see what's wrong with wanting options. If you have a PS4 and a Switch, wouldn't it be nice if games you want to play were available on both platforms, so you could choose which version to buy or buy both versions if you want? I don't understand why you think begging/requesting for ports is a bad thing. I don't see how it will negatively affect you or other people when some people want some games to come to the Xbox One, PS4, Switch, or PC. Regarding the sales, it is no secret that the Switch has been selling very well globally, so I don't know what you mean by the spin. Of course, I'm quite sure that the Switch or any console doesn't sell well in some countries, but it would be cherry-picking to select a country that it doesn't sell well and ignore the global sales.

Re: Nintendo Switch Continues to Dominate in Japan

NinNin

@Agramonte What NPD chart are you talking about? Does it have sale numbers?

@WhistleFish You laugh because the Switch has been selling very well globally and in Japan, and you think that fans shouldn't be happy because it doesn't sell well in some countries? I think your reason for laughing is very strange.

Re: The Nintendo Network and eShop Are Back to Life After a Festive Mishap

NinNin

@JHDK I think you overreacted. Yes, it was unfortunate, and Nintendo should have done better, but it's not a big deal to have to delay playing a game or spending money for one day. As some users pointed out, other systems had issues as well. As for the paid online service, it would be great for consumers if it was delayed.

Re: Review: Arcade Archives VS. Super Mario Bros. (Switch eShop)

NinNin

@Cosats All reviews are opinions. You can't review something without expressing your opinions. If you don't agree that this is a great game, you can state your reasons.

"They are written from specialist authors that try to convey the average feeling of a game for a video game player to decide about purchase"

Yes, and they are opinions of the reviewers.

Re: Some Japanese Gamers Aren't Happy About Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection

NinNin

@Azikira I don't know why it's difficult to understand. Capcom is going to release the English version in Japan instead of the Japanese version. Do you think they should do that? I don't understand why you're confused. Do you think it's okay if Capcom releases the Japanese version in the US?

@retro_player_22 It's clearly stated in the article that Capcom does that.

Re: Nintendo Switch Reaches 10 Million Global Sales In Its First Nine Months

NinNin

@gortsi I don't think some enthusiastic people are irrational because of their enthusiasm. Some people are irrational, and it has nothing to do with their interests. For example, a Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft/Google/Facebook/Amazon fan who is irrational doesn't become rational when he stops being a Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft/Google/Facebook/Amazon fan. In my opinion, it's a misconception to associate fans and irrationalness.

Re: Bayonetta 1 And 2 Are Getting A Special Edition Bundle With All The Trimmings

NinNin

@Sanangelo89 Both games take up about 32 GB of storage space. Doom uses a 16 GB game card, so if you understand Doom, you will understand this as well. I don't like how Doom handles the download data, though, because patches and the multiplayer part are combined. This means that the download isn't really optional.

By the way, the PS Vita version of Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster doesn't come with a separate game card for Final Fantasy X-2. It's available as download only. It's no secret that game cards are more expensive than Blu-ray Discs.
