@IHateTombs Yes, but Japan and Asia are two different "game regions". Japan is Japan while Asia is Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc. Play-Asia is a Hong Kong based company. They sell Asian Chinese versions and Asian Japanese versions in addition to European and American versions. The FF X copy in question is the Asian English release and not the Japanese release.

And adding to the confusion, Singapore and Malaysia use the American game region.

For reference, the Vita version was separated intoc two different releases in both Japan and Asia, but only the Asian version had English.

Also, Bandai Namco is publishing this game in Asia (not Japan) so people need to calm down on the Square Enix hate

Why do people assume that it's being hacked to cheat in games? The main benefit is that you can add emulators and also add themes and stuff

Had you read the article you'd see that NoJ are giving customers three options: normal physical, normal digital, case + download code (exclusive to the NoJ store). This stuff is overblown to the point where it shouldn't even get a separate article, specially not with that click-bait headline, which reads like Japan isn't getting a cartridge release at all.

@cfgk24 remasters rarely sell well in Japan. They all have a PS3 anyway

Taking the total (3)DS line sales into account, it would be bizarre to abandon it. No one knows if the Switch can be a 100% DS replacement.

They could develop and release a new DS system and it would sell 20 million no problem, so it’s a no-brainer to me. I think it’s about what Nintendo’s ambitions and sales targets would be for a potential successor.

GameCube’s problem isn’t video quality, it’s the fact that most of the best games are available on newer consoles. The only games I miss that I can’t get elsewhere on newer consoles now that Luigi’s Mansion is coming to 3DS, are Super Mario Sunshine, Killer7, Viewtiful Joe and Chibi-Robo! Chibi-Robo got a New Play Control release for the Wii in Japan but it was sadly never localized.

If Sony are funding this they profit from game sales. Shenmue isn’t big enough to be limited to one console. Should be on all three plus PC.

Game Boy Advance/SP/Micro - 81.51 million
Nintendo DS/Lite/DSi - 154.02 million
3DS/New 3DS - ~70 million

That's a staggering 424.22 MILLION handheld units sold.

That's more than all the consoles releases in the history of mankind COMBINED. And then on top of that you have first party software sales for those handhelds and THEN you have the home consoles. Insane.

Yep, I'm hopeful that they'll localize RCR SP at some point. Tokyo Rumble obviously did well enough, just a shame that this will be eShop-only.

I'd get both to be honest, but seeing as you liked the original RCR then I suggest Tokyo Rumble because of the similarities, despite the rather sluggish controls.

@roy130390 The NES game got a remake called Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari SP which was released in Japan for the 3DS last year. DNM SP is the latest Downtown release except the Famicom Collection (with all the Famicom/NES Kunio games on one cart). All these other games are spin-offs.

They're all basically the same.

Flyhigh Works is a publisher, not a developer. INSIDE SYSTEM is the developer behind the Dark Witch games.

@Matti They also don't care about graphics, like at all, compared to Western gamers. The Pro caters to Western gamers in my opinion.

Been waiting on sales for Steamworld Heist, Crimson Shroud, and SEVERED but I have three N3DS XLs and one N3DS but none of them are European :[

Also got the physical bundle of the three BOXBOY games for my JP N3DS XL so an empty week for me. Will check out reviews for Has-Been Heroes as it's been on my radar for quite some time but might go physical either way.

@impurekind I dunno, Nintendo had a "what's included" picture with description but no mention of it there.

@impurekind USB-C charger is not included but they're so cheap anyway so doesn't matter. More worried about the size of the included AC adapter though. It's twice as big and weighs twice as much as the 3DS charger. I'd also like to know what you can use to charge with USB-C. Where do I connect the USB-C cable from the Switch to? Only to battery packs?

Do the Joy Cons charge if you charge your Switch while playing handheld mode?
