I really like that the Cuphead and Sans costumes are more than just dressed mii's. They look just like the characters themselves.

It would have been a lot cooler to have had him as a character. I would have preferred to have had this the other way around with the FE character as a Mii.

Hopefully in the next Smash game Cuphead can get in as an actual fighter, I wonder what the stage could be like. Maybe something similar to the King Dice battle? owo

Honestly I'd prefer Bill and Lance from Contra over Cuphead and Mugman as actual fighters. I definitely think you could make a much more interesting moveset with Bill and Lance and Contra has a much longer history with Nintendo than Cuphead.

I can’t unlock any characters in this game.

The Mii Fighters are a smart move, if you ask me. Give costumes to cool characters without having to come up with completely new character assets and make a lot of indie devs as well as their fans happy with the inclusion.

Need more indie represenatation, even if just as trophy assists or stickers. Would love an Ori, Hollow Knight and Hornet trophy assists

@Joeynator3000 Unfortunately there is most likely not going to BE any more smash games.If there is a new console after the switch then maybe but if the switch is the last Nintendo console,then SSBU is the last game in the franchise

This is a nice character inclusion, the costume is so complete it can be easily confused with a new character. Nice.

There are 83 (I think?) full characters now in the game.

Of those Diddy Kong and Banjo are the only 2 that weren’t developed in Japan, and they were tied to Nintendo during development. Personally I think the only way a non Japanese character is getting into this game is as a Mii costume.

I hope they announce the next 6 fighters in another way. Wishful thinking, though. I don't think they'll change the method, because they want impatient people to buy the pass and it seems to work, but I can wait as I waited this time, and I was right because I'm interested in only 3 of the bunch, so individual purchase is the way to go for me.

Cuphead wil be the first bit of dlc I get for this game. Looks cool.

@MrGawain You missed two, King K. Tool and Dark Samus are also from Western developed games. I see your point though, I think it's unlikely we'll get more than 1-2 western characters out of 6 in the next fighters pass

@Moroboshi876 Same, I only bought Terry. I think the fighter pass is more for the competitive players who want to try all characters and movesets.

@glaemay Well, I usually want all the players and in fighting games I prefer to be able to use any of them than mastering only one. I'm not competitive. But the characters have to be appealing to me, and I never played (nor intend to) Persona or Fire Emblem series, so...

About what's coming next, I'm just waiting for the first of the new six to be revealed--not even released, just revealed.

This was done just right, even if it doesn't match up with the other Mii costumes. I can picture what it might have been if they had an opening on the front of the cup with a Mii face in it. And it looks like it at least fires blue shots. If he was a full fledged character you would hope he'd get all his different shot types, but this is fine.

Hard to picture what a Cuphead stage would be. A 3D environment wouldn't match up to the game's look, since that is based on vintage cartoons. Maybe painted 2.5D elements at different depths?

Can someone remind the developers that there is a Mii Swordfighter as well? Looking at you, inevitable FE characters #9 and #10.

Could have made Cuphead a Megaman Echo Fighter, but oh well. Echo Fighters seem to be a missed opportunity thus far.

I do wonder though, with the costume being pretty much Cuphead, could they not have worked on it a little longer and given him a moveset (which I think would be great by the way) ?

I'd have gladly waited. A free character for early purchasers of the next Fighter's Pass I think would have been fantastic.

I'd LOVE any Hollow Knight inclusion, Sakurai. There's an indie that also REALLY deserves the love. There's also the release of Hollow Knight Silk Song coming first to Switch. Hornet or the Ghost/Knight would be cool.
