For some individuals like this writer, who is older than they'd care to admit, trends and #content on YouTube make it a scary place of loud noises and annoying adverts for protein drinks. For others, however, it's a primary source of entertainment and can be an incredibly inspiring and uplifting platform. And Youtubers Life: OMG Edition across its various platforms shifted 1.4 million copies. Fair enough.
Youtubers Life 2 is on the way this year and it'll be heading to the eShop along with other platforms. Raiser Games and UPLAY Online are teaming up again, and the sequel aims to deliver an updated experience taking into account the shifts in YouTube culture of recent times; some of the highlight additions and tweaks are below.
- More content options for Youtube videos, including reviews, gameplays, speedruns, unboxings, interviews, and more.
- Subscriber and video statistics that directly react to a broadening of a creator’s content.
- A new mechanic called “Trends”, which fluctuates daily and affects your popularity as a YouTuber.
- More personalization options for your character, and a fully customizable and expandable home.
- Scores of new and expansive features to be announced in the coming months.
- Deeper relationships with NPCs, including additional questlines.

Google: takes down reviews and YouTube Poop edits for "violating copyright"
Also Google: leaves this up and allows it to be released as a paid product on major, highly regulated platforms.
As someone who works on YouTube I can confirm that this is exactly how I spend all my days.
@AlexOlney Holding on to your chair while flying away because of all the likes coming out of your screen?
Will it include youtubers controversy and drama? it's part of being a youtuber...😛
Wait, WHAAAT ?! 😲
YOUTUBERS LIFE 2 ?! 😀😀😀
@Anti-Matter Admit it, you brought all 1.4 million copies of the original, didn't you? That's the only feasible reason it could've sold so much!
But can you play as a "gurl gamer" and coast on likes by just wearing a crop top and hot pants while streaming Animal Crossing?
More shovelware ... yaaaay!
Are the games any good? (Uh asking for a friend).
My lord I'm old... I don't understand...
@AlexOlney I KNEW IT
Hard working parents life next
Releasing second game while the first one is not finished. (facepalm)
@Clyde_Radcliffe
I have Youtubers Life 1 Switch version in physical, have been updated with latest update.
As someone who watches a ton of YouTube the idea of this game really appeals to me, will wait for a review though.
@Mr-Fuggles777 you noob, you get more views with that setup if you stream yourself playing just dance.🤪
@Mr-Fuggles777 You can be whatever you want to be, hunny bun. It’s your YouTubers Life.
Jeez, this is taking the "hip with the kids" scale to a new planet.
Maybe you can SA your way to the top.
I honestly didn’t know about the first game. Not for me, but great for those that want it.
@LouBlu08 Guess it's working since the first game sold over a million.
@Mr-Fuggles777 Who is that? Asking for a friend.
@Lanmanna Pokimane and Belle Delphine have both made a living off of thirsty teens on YouTube. In Belle Delphines case quite literally - she was selling bottles of her bath water FFS!
Oh hell yeah, a sequel to Youtubers Life means we get a second videogamedunkey video on Youtubers Life
@noobish_hat Boooooo. Have some fun.
@Lanmanna Yeah, that, and putting flossing, a dead trend, in the screenshot.
Gonna get this game so I can become the next Alex Olney!
@Clyde_Radcliffe : With his Race with Ryan collection a close second.
I was only vaguely keen on the first one to scratch that life sim itch on Switch, but it seemed a little too... vacuous a concept for a simulation game (plus, I don't think they ever produced more cartridges beyond the initial print). I'll reserve judgement and perhaps consider this if it's any good, but I am not terribly optimistic.
And The Sims is dead to me after EA have gradually (and irreparably) ruined the franchise from latter half of the 00s. I'd still be keen on ports of older games if they otherwise leave them the hell alone. It's such a travesty that what was once perhaps my favourite game franchise of all has gone down the crapper.
A Tomodachi Life sequel couldn't come soon enough!
@Letzg077 Yeah, we get to visit a forest as Logan Paul
