Animal Crossing's Build-A-Bear Collection Launches Today - Here Are The Details You Need

Scalpers waiting and ruining it for everybody in 3-2-1..

Good thing I subscribed to be invited to the waiting room. If the collection includes Isabelle, and is true to the game's model, then I'll be all over it. I phrase it like I want her to be naked, but Nintendo won't do that. And if it means anything, then only Villager characters can be naked without their clothing items, unless Nintendo has them sew an undershirt on the characters so that they CAN'T be naked. Which means, like Poppy and Minnie Mouse, Isabelle will have a white bodysuit to act as underwear. The way I say it, makes me sound like a disturbing individual who would be more satisfied with a sex doll.

I was hoping that this would release towards the end of the month since there’s no Canadian website and these aren’t cheap unless you buy them in the store. Oh well I will probably miss out on these.

@Pokefanmum82 If you want to buy them in store, then wait until the Summer. It's part of the FAQ I read when I got the email.

@HarvestGoddess I think it has to do with Nintendo being a popular brand, moreso than Fortnite and XBox, ironically enough. Why aren't scalpers targeting Halo gun replicas, or those Fortnite Nerf Guns?

@HarvestGoddess I'm sorry about that. I had recently disturbed a bunch of Twitter users with my comments that sound wrong, but aren't. But at least I got a Banjo & Kazooie for retail price, and saved 5 bucks with a Pro Rewards Certificate. If I get Isabelle, that'll be the cherry on top. I would feel like playing King K. Rool's "I've Got It All" from DKC's "A Thin Line Between Love and Ape."

If this includes villagers and not just the service NPCs (Isabelle, Tom Nook, etc.) I might be interested. But I'm expecting it to probably just be Isabelle. =/

It's so close, and yet so far. I will stand by the computer until 10:30 when I get the Invite. And when my turn comes up, I will buy whatever item is there. I learned my lesson from missing out on the Zelda Joy Cons!

@Harmonie Yeah seems like it, I am so disappointed as there were rumours of villager plushies, I will stay in queue to see if anything changes but if it's just those two I wont be buying (would rather save that £40 haha)

@LilPiy I think the villagers you want would be better suited for smaller plushes made by other companies. Either way, Isabelle is what I'm interested in. If I wanted Tom Nook, I'll wait until the Summer to get him.

@YoshiAngemon Eh, plenty of B-a-B lines have added less central characters as time goes on. While a lot of people love Isabelle and some Tom Nook, I think for a lot of us the villagers are where it's at. Granted, it would be tough to pick from the villagers. There are some that are just really popular, like Bob.

Have there been no plushie lines for Animal Crossing villagers? That's disappointing. Animal Crossing is a BIG franchise now, I say it's about time they give us more merch.

@RupeeClock I don't know, but there are pre-order listings going over $100. And if I can't get Isabelle, then I'll get a different colored Yoshi! At least those aren't in high demand! Maybe if there's a Mini Baby Mario for him...

I don't know about this... if they don't have Spork or Blathers I don't even know what the point is.

My biggest fear was that only Isabelle and Tom Nook would be represented, and it looks like that is exactly what happened.

Managed to get 4 Stitches bears, so I'm going to put them on eBay for £400 each

@LavaTwilight I was in the Queue from just after 4pm and didn't’ get to buy. In fact just a few minutes ago it said the Queue was paused with the following message

We are nearing the end of our event and our virtual waiting room is closed. There will be no further shoppers released beyond the waiting room. If you weren’t able to purchase the Animal Crossing™: New Horizons collection today, don't worry! We will have the collection back in stock soon.

@sikthvash Wait... Stitches? Can you tell us what all villagers were available? Because I can't see anything other than Tom Nook and Isabelle.

@Harmonie Apologies! I was being silly. As far as I know, they are only doing 2 options at the moment. There appears to be other AC keyword names that link back to the page, suggesting that other options may be on the cards, but nothing has been confirmed. I'm a little disappointed in the choices so far.

@sikthvash Alright, I didn't know because I never signed up for the waiting list and never got to see the product line.

@Harmonie I signed up, but didn't get passed their queuing system. Guess we will have to wait and see what happens when they drop the next batch.
