Last month, River City Girls Zero - a localisation of the 1994 Super Famicom title Shin Nekketsu Koha: Kunio-tachi no Banka - got delayed until "early 2022" to ensure it was the "best experience" possible when it did eventually arrive.
In the latest update, physical specialist Limited Run Games has now shared a look at the game's standard, classic and ultimate edition (including poseable figures) for Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders will begin later this month on January 28th. Here's a look:
Destructoid has also shared an exclusive trailer, here's a look:
There's still no official release date for River City Girls Zero, but when we hear about one, we'll be sure to let you know. Will you be picking up any of the above physical editions? Comment down below.

Figures? That easily makes this one of their better offers by default, imo...
Those figures look fantastic but, I've played this game's fan translation and... while it's a neat little curio, I'll argue the game itself is not worth that much.
God, the anime segments in that trailer look good. I'm almost tempted to pick up the physical version for the poster alone. The figures just look a bit weird, though. It's mainly that the mouth looks so obviously painted on, but I also wish that they had Kyoko's hair standing up like they have in the animation.
Also, can we please get costumes based on these designs for RCG2? I would love that so much.
Every piece in this special edition looks awesome. I especially liked the changeable parts in the figures, different facial expressions. Soundtrack cover is beautiful, poster art as well. Very nice set!
Yeah, no. I'd actually like to be able to play the game when it comes out...not like a year later. It's funny how LRG has scammed people into buying far more for the base game and then has them waiting even longer just to play it. Maybe I'm just weird because all of those little extra goodies just don't justify it for me. :L
Looks awesome, but I'll settle for a standard edition in normal non limited stores. That would be great.
I'm just wondering why on earth a Super Famicom port warrants separate PS4 and PS5 versions.
My wallet is ready to pre-order!!
I now want to buy this just for those figures
Will wait for a potential asian release i stead, need to know if it will be censored or have botchered translation before I buy, and while the last game was great, I'm a bit skeptical of Wayforward at the moment
@Tobiaku There won't be one unfortunately for zero as it was developed in house by Limited Run, fortunately 2 will be and it's already up on play-asia.
Interesting, looks like the Ultimate edition comes with 2 copies of the game - 1 cartridge, 1 download code.
