For my first FPS on the Switch I picked up Immortal Redneck and I'm glad I didn't spend more than $20 to trial out an FPS on the Switch. I really don't like it at all. The optimization was poor and playing an FPS in handheld is pretty rough. I love the Switch for almost every other genre of game, but I won't be picking up any FPS on this console in the future.
I picked this up yesterday and can't stop playing. The combat feels so good and mixing up your spells really changes the way the game plays. This is up there with my top roguelike games. If you're a fan of the genre do not pass this up.
I just picked this up and the gameplay is really good but the game is really blurry. The game doesn't even look like it's HD. The HUD is fine, but the actual game looks like 540p or something. Just a heads up to anyone who's thinking of getting this.
Wow! I didn't think this was going to happen. I'm glad I held out on importing the Japanese version and it's great that our save data will carry over. It's gonna be rough going back to this after MHW, but I'm ready for the challenge.
This looks very tempting. The motion blur thing effect and 30fps are the only thing that might make me pick this up on PC instead, but I've had it on my Steam wishlist for awhile and still haven't bought it. I'd probably play it much more if I got it on the Switch.
I sunk like 50 hours into this game when it first hit early access but haven't played it since. They've added a lot of great new stuff and I can't wait to get it on Switch and check out the finished version.
I still can’t believe they’re charging $60 for this when the “select” version for the WiiU is $20. This is definitely for people who missed it the first time around. I would rebuy this if it was at a better price.
@ThanosReXXX you need to chill out man. it's like you just wanted to start a fight with everyone who has a different opinion on this lineup than you. just relax.
@ThanosReXXX ok, if you're excited about playing these games then great. The only new game on this list that interests me is Octopath Traveler. I'll be getting Dark Souls because that game has insane replay value, unlike the other ports on this list. In my opinion, this is a really weak lineup. I hope there's some upcoming indie games that can fill for this weak showing.
Looks OK. I’ll hold off for reviews though. The roguelike that I think would be perfect for Switch would be Vagante. I really hope this eventually makes it’s way to the Switch and the developers have said they are looking into it, so that’s good news.
I played quite a bit of this on PS4 and really enjoyed it. It gets a little old after awhile and doesn't offer the replayability of some other roguelikes, but it's still a great game with wonderful art and music.
I remember when the Switch first came out and I was buying every game that was released on the Eshop and most of them were pretty good. Lately it seems like there’s a lot of trash on there.
@KryptoKrunch the Switch isn’t close to closing on the PS4’s lifetime sales in Japan. Why would you think that? That would be pretty insane if that was true.
After sinking dozens of hours into the beta I really don't think this game would work well at all on the Switch without some serious downscaling; however, I'd be totally fine with that. I really miss being able to play this game on the go and being tethered to my TV to play World is kind of a bummer. Also, the beta didn't run great on the regular PS4 with frequent frame drops. Hopefully they will improve this with the release version. I'm really excited for the PC version though. It's a beautiful game and so much fun to play.
@Mince-Pie good luck. My advice would be to go in blind and only look something up if you’re feeling frustrated. Then if you want, you can do a second, more thorough run. But your first time playing Dark Souls is pretty amazing and shouldn’t be spoiled. I wouldn’t watch any videos or trailers either if you can.
@Daftbomb Crawl is really fun, but it's definitely built around multiplayer and I wouldn't recommend it if you're planning on playing solo. It's a blast to play with a group of friends though.
@AcesHigh use your head for a minute. How would making a Roguelike be a cop out? The game is 5 floors long with a boss at the end of each one. If this was a linear game there would be 5 bosses, you’d start as the same character and get the same weapons each time. Now that it’s a Roguelike, theres over 20 bosses, 4 starting classes (not including the co op character), there’s like 190 guns and over 200 items. Before you start bashing something stop and think for one second. Seriously, just one second.
I have this on Steam, PS4, and now the Switch. This game is a perfect fit for the Switch. It’s my favorite in this genre, and one of my top games overall in the last couple of years. Highly recommended.
@JaxonH porting Dragon's Dogma would actually give it a 3rd chance. The game was already given a 2nd chance when it was released on PC in 2016. And then it was released again on PS4 and XBOX One, so this would actually be more like a 4th chance for the game to find a market. I'd still probably buy it (and not finish it) for a third time though.
Wow! A 4 seems way too low in my opinion. I have this on Steam and played it before they fixed and patched the game and wouldn't have rated that low when it came out, even in it's broken state. The game is a lot better now and really enjoyable. $20 does seem a bit steep though. I'd pick it up on sale in the future if this looks appealing to you.

Re: Review: Wizard Of Legend (Switch eShop)
@FrankoAmmo this game is not a twin stick shooter. the combat is really good and is more about managing your cooldowns and dealing out combos.

As a wheelchair user, I gotta say, this is awesome! Anything that promotes the wheelchair makes me happy.
Re: Wizard Of Legend Will Bring Its Roguelike Magic To Switch On 15th May
I'm looking forward to this one.
Re: Souls-Like Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption Coming To Switch In 2018
@BraveBiT it's very different from Souls in that it's a boss rush type game. So you can probably get both and be very happy.
Re: Souls-Like Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption Coming To Switch In 2018
Very cool! I'll probably pick this up on Steam because I've been anxious to play this, but if it's good, I'll pick it up again on the Switch.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
Still Monster Hunter World... I might have a problem.... SOS!

Re: Review: Castle of Heart (Switch eShop)
This is a disappointment. If the game's combat was engaging I would be all over this.

What a cool dude
Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Will Get A Retail Release (But It'll Cost You $60)
Hard pass. I paid $20 for the classic edition on the WiiU

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
Still nothing but Monster Hunter World for me. I haven't touched my PC or Switch since this came out.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
I can't play, let alone think, about anything else other than Monster Hunter World.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
Monster Hunter World. I can't think about anything else, let alone play something else.
Re: Flinthook Swings Onto the Switch Digitally and Physically in 2018

I'm sold.
Re: Rain World's Developer Is Gauging Interest For A Potential Switch Port
I have about 2 hours in this game PC and still have no idea what’s going on. I’d buy it again on the Switch though.

Re: Soapbox: Alex And Dom Discuss If Dark Souls Will Really Work On Switch
Dark Souls has an easy mode, it’s called Summoning.
Re: Soapbox: Alex And Dom Discuss If Dark Souls Will Really Work On Switch
@Agramonte From Software has said that they have no plans for Dark Souls 4 and are essentially done with the series for now.
Re: Dark Souls: Remastered Won’t Feature Cross-Platform Play
well of course they won't have cross platform play. none of other Souls games have had this, why would this one?
Re: Dark Horror Platformer Dream Alone Will Spook Its Way Onto Switch Soon
Seems a little too similar to Limbo. I'm looking forward to seeing some reviews though.
Re: Feature: Here's What Was Announced During The January 2018 Nintendo Direct Mini
Dark Souls was all I needed, everything else was just extra. I'm so pumped to play this on the Switch.
Re: Intergalactic Twin-Stick Shooter Last Encounter Aims Its Cross Hairs On Switch
@onex people like rougelike games. sorry you don't. but they're not "killing proper designed single player experiences"... man, what an exaggeration.

looks pretty good so far.
Re: The L-3 Nozzlenose D is Your Next Weapon in Splatoon 2
I haven’t played Splatoon in months. Maybe it’s time to jump back in. I need something to hold me over til Monster Hunter World comes out.

Re: Nintendo Boasts Of Continued Third Party Support For Switch
Overwatch would be great on the Switch and very doable. The game is very well optimized. Lower end PC’s can run it well.
Re: Review: Enter The Gungeon (Switch eShop)
@Scottie the controls are really good and actually kinda feel like an FPS, but in a top down mode.
