@Serpenterror No it's not. You can use 2TB cards in Steam Deck and the Deck has more storage on it's SSD than the Switch. You can also replace the SSD if you want to open up your deck.
I've been playing this on PC. This game is a lot of fun. It's takes a lot from other games, but at least it's a fun game and plays really well. Combat and roguelike elements are done right.
Nice. Hopefully this fixes the issues I had with the game. The first couple hours were great but it got old real quick. The game looked great and was an interesting concept. But the gameplay was really bad.
@Realness the grind is a bit much to reach lvl 120. my best advice is to focus on 3 monster hunts. You should get about a level per hunt and do it online. It's much quicker.
I would add Thumper, Furi, and Vagante (the review on this site was awful. It looked like the reviewer barely got past the beginning and then wrote a salty review).
I loved the first Splatoon and thought Splatoon 2 could have just been an update but I bought it anyway and played it for 10 hours or so and kinda regretted the purchased. Definitely skipping 3.
This is exactly what I was hoping for. This update just added hundreds of hours to the game. I'm looking forward to some challenging content. There's not much that could be considered a challenge with the current endgame.
@SteamEngenius Yeah, basically just to say that it runs great on other platforms so if you have the option - buy it there. Was that clear enough for you to understand?
@Fizza @Greatluigi No it's not. They did this with Iceborne too. @Z-Core The expansions introduce a lot of new monsters, locations and mechanics so the demo gives people a chance to check it out.
Great game but I do wish the resolution was a little better on Switch and didn't look like there was Vaseline on the screen. I haven't played since launch though, so maybe it's patched up?
@blindsquarel yeah, that's how MH has always handled the G rank expansions. Since it's a third tier of difficulty with new monsters, gear, maps, etc... you have to have cleared High Rank and it's marketed as such.
@blindsquarel You can play the Hub in single player. So you just did the village which is low rank and very easy. You're missing out on quite a bit then.
@blindsquarel There's at least one more required one past the first one. Most people probably just did them for materials to ramp up their weapons or make rampage weapons (some of which are very good). Are you not ramping up your weapons?
Cool armor but not worth doing 3 rampages for. Why did they tie this to Rampages? This could have been a cool reward for completing one of the tougher Emergency Apex quests.
@baconcow I agree. They complain about the game having 4 biomes (which is incorrect) and give praise to Hades... which has 4 biomes. Vagante also has 16+ bosses (4x's as many as Hades).
One more thing, the game has more than 4 biomes, each biome has an optional harder biome you can explore that is a new biome and offers unique rewards and an alternate ending. I don’t think this reviewer played much of the game. Just because they had a hard time with the game don’t be swayed by this review. Check out some YouTube reviews (SwitchUp has a good one out). Sorry, it’s just frustrating seeing one of my favorite, most played games, being treated this way. I’ve been asking for this to come to Switch for a long time and this is not what I expected to see.
Wow. I encourage people to read Steam reviews. This is one of my favorite games and one of the best in the genre. A true rougelite where each run can be drastically different depending on starting class, what traits you decide to level up, and what items you find. The combat and gameplay is very good. This reviewer completely missed what makes this game great and instead wrote a very myopic piece. The bugs and technical issues are a disappointment and I can understand a lower review based on that, but completely disagree with everything else. Read some other reviews.
<edit> I just bought the game on Switch and played through the tutorial and first level and it's wonderful. I'm not sure what this reviewer wanted from a tutorial? Everything is covered in a short and concise tutorial. My Switch will now be a Vagante machine for the foreseeable future.
@chipia No, they're not. I'm guessing you're not a developer. Also, if Dark Souls 3 did manage to run as well as those games on Switch some bosses would be very difficult to read, let alone beat.
I’ve been playing this game on PC for the last 5+ years and love it. This is one of the best games in the genre and can’t wait to get it on Switch. Definitely pick this up if it at at sounds interesting. It will be very difficult at first but gets easier after you understand the game.

Re: Absolum And Ball X Pit Post Excellent Initial Sales, But They Deserve More
Absolum is great but I opted for the Steam version since there's no Switch 2 version. I would double dip if they added that.
Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Finally Gets A Release Date, Open World Confirmed
This looks pretty rough. The motorcycle footage looks like a cheap mobile game.
Re: Koei Tecmo Releases New Switch 2 Demo For Wild Hearts S
This game is still a broken mess on PC and they're releasing a Switch version? Hard pass.
Re: Official Nintendo Switch SD Card Line Expands With 1TB Zelda Card And Cute Yoshi Design

Re: Play The Grim Reaper In 'Have A Nice Death', Out On Switch This March
I've been playing this on PC. This game is a lot of fun. It's takes a lot from other games, but at least it's a fun game and plays really well. Combat and roguelike elements are done right.
Re: Cult Of The Lamb Teases New Content, Dungeons, And Secrets In "Major" Free Update

Re: Best Nintendo Switch Roguelikes, Roguelites And Run-Based Games
There's a lot of sinkers on this list. This list should be half the length. Why is Gods Will Fall on here? That game is so bad.
Re: Review: Rogue Legacy 2 - A Roguelike Legend Returns In Fine Form
@Snatcher I would just get this one. The first one is really good, but this just improves on it in every way.
Re: Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak To Share Title Update 3 Details In Upcoming Digital Event

Re: Review: Tunic - Old-School Adventuring With Nods To Zelda, Unforgiving And Ingenious
@Serpenterror This look and runs great on Steam Deck. What are you talking about? It runs at native resolution and steady 60fps.
Re: Nvidia Employee Comment Confirms Chip Rumoured To Be Used In 'Switch Pro' Is Real
@sixrings because more than half of the indie games released on the Switch run like crap. I've stopped buying games on the Switch for this reason.
Re: Hands On: The Witch Is Back - Bayonetta 3 Is Real, And We've Played It
@Cia you could read one of the reviews about the last game if you're actually curious. Or watch a video review on YouTube.
Re: Game Boy-Inspired Metroidvania 'Haiku The Robot' Gets September Switch Date
@sketchturner yeah, i have it on Steam. Great game.

Re: Japanese Charts: Monster Hunter Rise Is Still Top Of The Pack Thanks To Sunbreak
@eltomo lol. xbox outselling PS in Japan?!! Look at the numbers. That's insane.
Re: Review: F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch - Frustratingly Close To Metroidvania Greatness
@TheCold0ne There's a demo on Steam too if you want to check it out first.

Re: Review: F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch - Frustratingly Close To Metroidvania Greatness
That's too bad about the performance. I have this on Steam Deck and it runs great.
Re: FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch Gets Physical Edition In September
Loved this game on PC. Not sure how well it will run on Switch but let's hope it's decent
Re: Where To Buy Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Collector's Edition, Pro Controller And amiibo
@Rayquaza2510 Same. It's pretty hard going back to Switch after playing it on PC.
Re: Where To Buy Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Collector's Edition, Pro Controller And amiibo
@Silly_G You can't even get the full game of base Rise on cartridge. Did you pass on that too?
Re: Capcom Announces Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Demo, Out Soon
@Fizza @Greatluigi No it's not. They did this with Iceborne too. @Z-Core The expansions introduce a lot of new monsters, locations and mechanics so the demo gives people a chance to check it out.
Re: Review: Mario Strikers: Battle League - Simply The Best Sports Game On Switch
Looks pretty cool. Might need to dust of the old Switch for this one.
Re: Review: Souldiers - A Potent Metroidvania And Soulslike Blend, But Not Without Issues
@KateGray I agree. I love roguelikes (this isn't a roguelike btw).
Re: Review: Souldiers - A Potent Metroidvania And Soulslike Blend, But Not Without Issues
Looks like a great game to pick up on any other platform. Load times on PC are like 1-2 seconds. Hopefully the devs can fix this.
Re: Hands On: Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Is Looking Like A Mighty Meaty Hunk Of DLC
@Gamer_Zeus lol. when has a MH expansion (or any MH game for that matter) bombed.
Re: Hands On: Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Is Looking Like A Mighty Meaty Hunk Of DLC
Just got the Steam Deck last week and will be retiring the Switch to play this there. Now I just need get ready for MR in one month.
Re: Clan O'Conall Is A Hand-Drawn Action-Platformer Hopping Over To Switch Very Soon
I played this on Steam awhile back. It's decent.
Re: Lonely Mountains: Downhill Brings Back Its '60s Themed 'Flower Power' Season

Re: Random: Elden Ring Just Dethroned Mario Odyssey At The Top Of OpenCritic's 'Best Game' List
@JokerCK Yeah, OK. Let's come back and revisit your comment in 1-2 weeks and see who was right...
Re: Random: Elden Ring Just Dethroned Mario Odyssey At The Top Of OpenCritic's 'Best Game' List
@Mattock1987 cool opinion from someone who hasn't played the game.
I am very excited for this and happy for the team that it's getting such great reviews.

@blindsquarel yeah, that's how MH has always handled the G rank expansions. Since it's a third tier of difficulty with new monsters, gear, maps, etc... you have to have cleared High Rank and it's marketed as such.
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Goes Old School With The Origin Layered Armor Set
@blindsquarel yeah, final boss, several elder dragons and few other monsters, new switch skills and a new tier of difficulty.
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Goes Old School With The Origin Layered Armor Set
@blindsquarel You can play the Hub in single player. So you just did the village which is low rank and very easy. You're missing out on quite a bit then.

Re: Monster Hunter Rise Version 3.8.0 Is Now Live, Here's What's New And Different
I wish I hadn’t started this on pC. There’s no going back to the Switch version after that.

Re: Monster Hunter Rise Has A Collab With Universal Studios Japan, As Sunbreak Teases Continue
@CairiB I would take some time and watch a weapon breakdown video by Arekkz on youtube on whatever weapon you're using. it'll help a lot.
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Has A Collab With Universal Studios Japan, As Sunbreak Teases Continue
This is the same set as the MHW world set, but I'm down.
Re: Feature: 14 Nintendo Switch Ports We'd Still Love To See
@Gwynbleidd well said.
