DEFINITELY summer 2016. There's no way Nintendo is going to drag the WiiU's lifespan out by another year. I mean, they are already scraping the bottom of the barrel with the (awful, unoriginal) WiiU games introduced in this years E3!!! The WiiU is done, lets just face it... so 2017 is too far away for the NX release

Also, FINALLY there seem to be SNES titles coming for 3DS, i really hope more will follow!

holiday 2016 is most likely going to be the release date. I just hope it's going to be a console on par with X1/PS4. I don't expect Nintendo to make a console that's more powerfull than either of them (becauce...hey, it's Nintendo...), but i hope it's not going to be a cheap 150 dollars WiiU clone...

It sucks for the developers, but Nintendo knew darn well that people have been begging for a 'real' Metroid game for many years. So, how can they be suprised about the negative reactions they've been getting.
Sure, it might be a fun game, but it's not what the fans want. And no matter how good it will turn out to be, it'll never be the game people have been asking for. It would be so easy to make a Metroid game that the fans would love!!! Nintendo really should know better... but then again, it's Nintendo... they rarely care about what their fans want.

@ShikabaneHime13 No reason to get mad, I'm sure you've played the games, and are all caught up in the hype... i haven't and don't have the slightest interest in playing them. At first glance it's nothing more than another pokemon -style game, and that is how people are going to react as well. Even you have to agree it borrows mechanics/ideas from pokemon, and i really don't see this becoming a hit over here.

Not for me i guess, this is just too much of a pokemon-clone for me... it's too Japanese for my taste. I really don't see this series becoming even a modest hit in the rest of the world. I don't think anybody wants another pokemon-clone, we had so many over the years and i think that hype has passed. I'm sure it will do great in Japan, but that's about it.

Sure, put it on X1 and/or PS4... i'll gladly play this game again. But please put some work into it, and don't simply port it over, Ubisoft! (Upres, 60fps and remove the countless bugs)

No one has anything to say that they haven't said a million times before. The people against, are still against it... and the people defending the amiibo situation are still defending it. Nothing changed, so there is really no reason to post this kind of article yet again.

Yesterday i played through all of these Nindies, and boy are they a mixed bag!
My favorite (by far!) is Freedom Planet! It's basically the Sonic The Hedgehog game all the fans been asking for like forever!!! It really is that good!
Lovely Planet, on the other hand,... Urgh, the less said about that the better! :s
Mutant Mudds is my second favorite, i loved the first 3DS-game, and i love how they amped up the difficulty even more! It's innovative in concept and gameplay. And a must buy for me for sure.
Typoman and forma.8, ...not sure how to feel about those. They play fine, but it's nothing i haven't played before in other (and better) games. They're not doing anything for me. (They're just not for me, i guess.)

@Tsuchinoko There actually is a land called Ca-na-dah?!? I thought that place was the setting for a next Tomb Raider or Uncharted game! Huh, i learn something new everyday on this site!

I got it for free on PS4 a month or 2 ago (PS Plus). It is very interesting, especially the documentary bits with the native Enuit tribes. The game itself didn't hold my interest till the end, so i never finished it.
But it is definitely worth a look.
