Than you and i have 2 very different opinions on what makes a good parent. Shielding your kids from this kind of stuff doesn't make you a good parent, helping your kid to understand the proper context does. Kids know violent stuff exists, and you can't always shield them from it. So it's best to help them understand.
And the 'fact' that violence in movies and videogames disturb and desentisize kids is in my opinion the biggest lie of the 21st century!

@Hints_Whispers Trust me, as a father myself, kids nowadays seen much worse than this... This doesn't disturb them in the least. Most of the time, it's actually the parents that get overly upset by stuff like this.

@Chaoz I only complain about Nintendo, because i know they could do a lot better, especially recent months/years. Sega recently made Alien Isolation which was awesome! Sure the Sonic Boom games were...mediocre, but c'mon they're still pretty relevant, and i'd love to see them make a comeback in the console market.

Maybe the NX is a Sega/Nintendo console, kinda like the Nintendo/Sony console prototype. How cool would that be???

@bitleman Why mention the Vita? A system that's not even dead, whatever you may claim. I do buy A LOT of games for it, as i do for Xbox One/PS4/3DS/WiiU as well. So accusing me of fanboyism, is total nonsense.

It's way too early to talk about power, when we don't even know what the NX is, what it does or even when it's going to be released. The rumour is based on absolutely nothing.

I better hope this rumour turns out to be false, for Nintendo's sake. I know Nintendo always said they aren't competing with Sony/Microsoft.... but c'mon, we all know better than that. This would mean they've learned nothing from the mistakes they made with the WiiU .

Multiplayer needed/wanted in Nintendo games? a big yes!!!! Online as well as offline co-op!!!

It's just that the upcoming Nintendo games don't appeal to me at all... and having multiplayer does nothing to change that.

@bitleman Sony never said they stopped supporting the Vita. New games are still coming out for the system. E3 showed a vita trailer as well

@abbyhitter So? The vita is region free, and the graphics are better than the 3ds version. I think that's the way to go for european fans of the series.

With Activision in charge of production & supply of the toys, maybe Nintendo might learn a thing or two.

@gamermole You still misunderstand me, If given the choice, people wanting to buy a single console, most likely lean more towards a PS4 (1st/2nd choice) or X1 (1st or 2nd choice) over a WiiU (making it 3rd choice). (console sales figures back that theory up)

@nacho_chicken Well, i left out PC gaming since we're talking about gaming consoles here. That would make nintendo people's 4th choice. But fair enough, you seem to prefer Nintendo over the rest. To each it's own, i guess.
But we all know more people have a PS4/X1, mostly in combination with a PC, in their living room than a WiiU, making it indeed people's 3rd/4th choice.

This was Nintendo's biggest mistake... if only they went through with this. They would have been the biggest name in gaming today!! But we all know the position Nintendo is in today, being every gamer's 3rd choice.

i like the DK games more than any of the Mario-games, but i guess that's just me...

@Chaoz Since it's all first party games, and most of these games don't even have a release date yet, it's probably all the games we're going to get till (and during) 2016.
Nintendo released a lot of consoles during the summer (GB, GBA, NES, ...) so a summer release makes perfect sense to me.
