@BaronMunchausen Sure, that's a good summation of how she and her supporters presented her. If you don't let reality get in the way then I guess that's all there is to her story.
I am so glad I didn't pre-order one. The shipping price to Australia was a joke as was the initial release date. Now it's been pushed further? Dodged a bullet.
No, they are very much hypocritical in the way they treat videogames compared to film and television.
I'm sure one day there will be a myriad of studies that show there's no connection between irl behaviour and videogames and they will see reason. Oh, wait...
Yeah, I really enjoyed the second one personally but they jumped the shark after that.
If you enjoy that style of game I'd recommend giving Ironcast a look. Fun match 3 RPG in a steam punk setting. It's not as bland story wise as Puzzle Quest which is nice.
The Puyo Puyo Tetris influence is strong in this one...
At that price point I'll definitely give it a look. Love match 3 games. Wish there was more Puzzle Quest style RPG mash ups out there that weren't full of mtx. Regular old puzzle games like this will have to do me.
I thought trademark conflicts like that had to be in the same industry/field to count? I assume Ubi wasn't going to release the game in energy drink or bumper sticker forms.
Just a heads up that historically if you're not in on the ground floor for this companies products you end up waiting a long time for them. Obviously you'll be waiting a long time anyway but more than likely the only people who'll get this in may are the people that pre-order asap.
Just something to think about. It is a long wait from now until next may and I completely understand waiting until there's a more reasonable time frame from putting your money down and getting the product. .
How on earth do you know $150 would be "enough". For all you know they would be selling at a loss at that price point or their margins would be so thin it's not worth putting it to market. This isn't a random Chinese emulation machine that you see in eBay for $20. They've designed the best possible product they could for a very niche market. Anyone baulking at the price was never in that target audience.
I had a Gameboy at the same time that Snake was a thing. I still played snake. Hell, I'd play Snake at home where I had a Playstation to play. It was a very enjoyable game with an addictive "one more game" high score chasing gameplay loop.
Slither.io was one of the most popular mobile games of 2016. It's still pretty popular to this day. Why? Certainly not nostalgia as my nephew who loved it has never seen a phone that doesn't have a touch screen. Given that Snake as a concept is still popular today your assertion that it's only out of a lack of options doesn't hold water.
Lumping it in with the likes of Bounce just because they share a platform doesn't work either. Are Space Invaders or Tank on the 2600 suddenly no longer fun games because they're on the same platform as E.T? No, you judge them on their own merits.
This is in XBOX Games with gold atm for anyone with that service. Just played 3 runs and it's really cool. It's a bit pricey from what I saw on the Switch eshop though so if you're not a pinball die hard I'd recommend waiting for a substantial sale as it's just the single (really good) table. I much prefer this style of 2D game over the licenced Zen pinball games though and will likely play this more than a Zen 3 pack of okay tables.
The multiball and mini boss stuff is insane. Makes me remember why I like pinball in theory more than practice because I get so tense.
Nintendo should stop allowing these publishers like Forever Entertainment from having their games in a near constant state of “sale”. It clogs up the sales page with absolute tat that seems to never go away. If your game only ever sells if it’s 90% of its RRP then price it at that and stop manipulating the sales page for visibility.
Played it for half an hour or so. About all I need. Love tennis games. This isn't one. It's like Camelot got paid by each game mechanic they forced into it. Love the forced cutscene at the start and all the dialogue for the story nobody cares about.
Why would you watch DF then? It's literally what they do... It's like going to an Italian restaurant and ordering spaghetti and then complaining about how you don't like pasta.
This Dynamax thing has killed any interest I had for the game. It makes the pokemon look like awful parade balloons and I doubt it'll make any tactical difference outside of MP. Not to mention that it's yet another new generation that will introduce a hundred new unmemorable pokemon. Even the starters look like Digimon rejects.
People don't want to buy Sonic for 38th time? How strange. Some are good, as others have mentioned, Outrun is great and and a couple of others added some stuff but ultimately most of them have been released a million times and some are on that Megadrive collection so why would you buy them again.
Personally I think they should do more for each release. For instance, why can't they include the master system version of Sonic 1 with the Sonic ages release? I bet a lot of people haven't played it and it's a nice incentive. As it is I'm happy with the Sonic on my copy of the Megadrive collection.
Also, is hamster complaining about sales? A lot of their titles are way more obscure. They keep pumping them out though. So is it an issue of not making enough money or are their expectations too high?
Edit: also, give us Daytona and Jet Set!
Edit: and Crazy Taxi with the original OST and do something with Monkey Ball.
If this was true you wouldn't be leaking to a rag like Kotaku, you would be going through the process of seeking workers compensation and preparing a case in preparation for if they fight you and you have to take them to court.
I was being more cynical than anything. It's true in a lot of ways. People say stuff on social media they would probably never have reason to come out with face to face. The ignorance of not knowing the person you're talking to is anti-vax really is bless.
People forget that about freedom of speech. You have every right to say what ever you want because of that freedom. You are in no way promised the right for there to be no consequences to you exercising that right. I don't know why so many people misconstrue those consequences as some kind of censorship or removal of a persons rights. It's not. You can say what you want. If you are continually saying awful things I'm not going to invite you to my party. That's not an attack on anybodies right to free speech, it's me choosing not to be associated with someone who I feel isn't a very good person.
It's like they forget everything they had previously implemented and start from the very beginning every console release. My 3DS has folders. Why on earth doesn't my switch?
Do the people commenting about how you would have to be an idiot to buy this think the buyer is taking a mortgage out to purchase the game? They've got enough money that they can throw $100k at a collectable game but everyone in the comments is so much smarter 🙄
Thought it was the best Direct in a very long time. A couple of things I don't care about (Starlink) but there was a bunch of awesome announcements. Zelda looks gorgeous and is my favourite Zelda game ever so that's great. Maker 2 looks fantastic. Fire Emblem looks great. Even that Sum Sum game looks like good fun. Just a lot of great stuff and they've managed to make the next year of Switch go from pretty thin to absolutely packed in just half an hour. Well done. Oh and Tetris 99 made me sub to to NSO and feel it's worth it 😂
It's not about the money. It's about wanting access to SNES/64/GCN/GB/GBA games. How is that hard to understand? I don't pay for the service. I'm still disappointed every month when I read that they've released yet another couple of NES games.
"In other words Nintendo continues to ra ra ra". Like this sale is somehow a personal attack on US Nintendo users. It's two different departments acting autonomously. Maybe the fact that they make more money in the US is why they don't have sales there... Sales aren't rewards, they're tools to generate revenue. They're moving units in the US so they don't need discounts, not so much in PAL territories. That kind of regional difference is why they have different regional departments in the first place.
And the paltry amount of games they do give us are hampered by terrible overlays and no control customisation. As someone that doesn't play any switch games online it's a truly terrible service.
@Kiyata_Hamasaki Curious as to why you think the physical release is worth buying but the digital isn't? I was planning to get this digitally tomorrow and now I'm paranoid that I'll be missing out on something .
@Fidu Thank you for the response, think I'll save my money. I love me some DK but I think I'd prefer to play it on 3DS than with the Wiimote. Plus I gotta get SMG 2 and then Metroid trilogy

What a hypocritical stance.
