Re: Heritage Auctions Responds To Allegations Of "Fraud And Deception In The Retro Video Game Market"

@ATaco Karl will just add it to the list. Hopefully Notch would back him in a potential lawsuit for this case too.

My feeling is they won't proceed with a lawsuit because if he doesn't fold they leave themselves open to deposition. Given the history of the auction house I don't think that would be pretty.

The world's best gamer sued because he's a fragile clown. These people just want to run their dodgy scam.

Just a heads up that historically if you're not in on the ground floor for this companies products you end up waiting a long time for them. Obviously you'll be waiting a long time anyway but more than likely the only people who'll get this in may are the people that pre-order asap.

Just something to think about. It is a long wait from now until next may and I completely understand waiting until there's a more reasonable time frame from putting your money down and getting the product. .

How on earth do you know $150 would be "enough". For all you know they would be selling at a loss at that price point or their margins would be so thin it's not worth putting it to market. This isn't a random Chinese emulation machine that you see in eBay for $20. They've designed the best possible product they could for a very niche market. Anyone baulking at the price was never in that target audience.

I had a Gameboy at the same time that Snake was a thing. I still played snake. Hell, I'd play Snake at home where I had a Playstation to play. It was a very enjoyable game with an addictive "one more game" high score chasing gameplay loop.

Slither.io was one of the most popular mobile games of 2016. It's still pretty popular to this day. Why? Certainly not nostalgia as my nephew who loved it has never seen a phone that doesn't have a touch screen. Given that Snake as a concept is still popular today your assertion that it's only out of a lack of options doesn't hold water.

Lumping it in with the likes of Bounce just because they share a platform doesn't work either. Are Space Invaders or Tank on the 2600 suddenly no longer fun games because they're on the same platform as E.T? No, you judge them on their own merits.

This is in XBOX Games with gold atm for anyone with that service. Just played 3 runs and it's really cool. It's a bit pricey from what I saw on the Switch eshop though so if you're not a pinball die hard I'd recommend waiting for a substantial sale as it's just the single (really good) table. I much prefer this style of 2D game over the licenced Zen pinball games though and will likely play this more than a Zen 3 pack of okay tables.

The multiball and mini boss stuff is insane. Makes me remember why I like pinball in theory more than practice because I get so tense.

28, 888, 075 is my top score after 3 runs.

Nintendo should stop allowing these publishers like Forever Entertainment from having their games in a near constant state of “sale”. It clogs up the sales page with absolute tat that seems to never go away. If your game only ever sells if it’s 90% of its RRP then price it at that and stop manipulating the sales page for visibility.

Re: Sega Ages Line Struggling To Appeal In Japan, Interest Overseas Better Than Expected

People don't want to buy Sonic for 38th time? How strange. Some are good, as others have mentioned, Outrun is great and and a couple of others added some stuff but ultimately most of them have been released a million times and some are on that Megadrive collection so why would you buy them again.

Personally I think they should do more for each release. For instance, why can't they include the master system version of Sonic 1 with the Sonic ages release? I bet a lot of people haven't played it and it's a nice incentive. As it is I'm happy with the Sonic on my copy of the Megadrive collection.

Also, is hamster complaining about sales? A lot of their titles are way more obscure. They keep pumping them out though. So is it an issue of not making enough money or are their expectations too high?

Edit: also, give us Daytona and Jet Set!

Edit: and Crazy Taxi with the original OST and do something with Monkey Ball.

People forget that about freedom of speech. You have every right to say what ever you want because of that freedom. You are in no way promised the right for there to be no consequences to you exercising that right. I don't know why so many people misconstrue those consequences as some kind of censorship or removal of a persons rights. It's not. You can say what you want. If you are continually saying awful things I'm not going to invite you to my party. That's not an attack on anybodies right to free speech, it's me choosing not to be associated with someone who I feel isn't a very good person.
