@BensonUii Hell yes to that, and using the double gold points from Smash, only costs £2.36
Fifa is tempting at this price but I have Smash and loads of others to play.
Not much of interest for me that I don't already own. Maybe Into the Breach.
Side note: been playing Valkyria Chronicles 4 the last few days. Very enjoyable.
Grabbed Grim Fandango and both the Sega Ages titles. Thanks for the heads up.
Been thoroughly impressed by the Sega Ages port of Phantasy Star 1 so I figured I'll give Sega my support so I hopefully get to see more later.
In other words, Nintendo continues to ignore North America, even though we're their moneymaker region. Yeah we had a Black Friday sale.....but so did Europe and now we get left out of any Boxing Day sales. In Canada at least, Boxing Day is still the bigger shopping event. We should have some eShop sales, especially for all those eShop cards many of us got at Christmas.
@BensonUii Just had to, as I remember playing it back in the day on my playstation. Looking at Broken Age, it looks pretty, but haven't seen any gameplay or reviews (but haven't been looking to be honest)
Man it's hard to believe these are considered sales. Guess I have been spoiled lately by Steam and PSN.
Dammit, I bought Into The Breach a couple of days before Christmas.
Great game though, so I recommend it as getting your money’s worth at either price.
Hmm Night of Azure is tempting...
Fifa's price is okay, but I'm not supporting it again, specially that EA had a full year to improve and provide a game that is comparable, in terms of features, to the other platforms and they didn't.. So no money from me!
@Tsurii I grabbed a physical copy of Valkyria Chronicles 4 when it released but I was so busy with other games and by the time I was ready to play it, the first game was out on the eShop so I did end up grabbing that and playing it first. Really glad I did too. In terms of story, it doesn't really matter which you play first. But the improvements they've made since the first game make that a much better starting point. You get to appreciate the first game for the great game that it is and also appreciate the fourth game for how they've improved the gameplay since the first game.
As far as performance goes, it seems fine to me. I'm about 15 or so hours in, playing solely in handheld mode and I haven't noticed anything wrong with it.
No Shantae Risky's Revenge Director's Cut this week either.
Grabbed Grim Fandango - never played it before, so looking forward to giving it a try. May as well at 70% off!
Eying several titles but having to do the maths to deduce which to buy.
Give us a Shopping Basket Nintendo!! Allow us to buy multiple games at once.
@BensonUii I nabbed Broken Age the other day for $4.79, great deal. It looks very good, and has an average of 10-15 hours of gameplay I read.
So which of these actually got good reviews from you?
I HIGHLY recommend Semblance.
@BensonUii
I'd recommend Broken Age too, there's not much from Double Fine that isn't worth that price. (I have it on Steam and I'm gonna double dip)
@BensonUii I looked at the trailer back when Limited Run was doing the pre-order of physicals, but finally fought and won againest my FOMO complex after my dissapointment with Slime-San (not my type of game at all, but HAD TO HAVE IT at the time)
I guess I´ll download Grim fandango tommorow, and maybe Max. Grim fandango is a big download though, there goes my micro/sd...
A lot of these have been live for a while now. I picked up "Grim Fandango" at that price a week ago.
I'd get Yooka-Laylee if it was about £10 less than this deal.
@eltomo. Feel the same. Ill bite when its half price.
For anyone interested, Hollow Knight is currently on sale in the US eShop for $9.90. ^^
Get Valkyria Chronicles 4 if you can! It’s a great strategy game!
Definitely getting both grim fandango and broken age at that prices
Sonic Mania £5.98
FIFA 19 £19.97
Tempted.
But, the internet told me that Nintendo never offers discounts
@MrMetroid I know right? I picked up a 3ds and a wii u cheap as hell last year and, whilst I am enjoying them, the sales are terrible compared to those found on my PS4. On a positive note I picked up a dozen retail wii u games at five bucks a throw.
@Trikeboy I don’t think this list has a single Nintendo title on it.
I bought Dead Cells yesterday. I'm not usually into retro style games, but couldn't ignore the acclaim.
I highly recommend Grim Fandango, Oxenfree and Broken Age if you're into point-and-clicks. I still think Thimbleweed Park is the best tho but it's not on sale.
And for any rythm-game lovers get Superbeat Xonic. It's really good!
Yooka laylee isn't on offer on the UK shop?
Thinking of buying Sonic Forces. Have Broken Age on my Vita but at that price I might get it on the big screen.
@DarthFoxMcCloud
There's no nebulous "Nintendo" that makes decisions like this. What Nintendo of Europe does has nothing to do with Nintendo of America and vice versa.
By the sounds of it I doubt you'd be happy regardless of what NOA did anyway 🙄
@MetalGear_Yoshi Um, there is a nebulous "Nintendo." It's Nintendo. Located in Japan. That's the global HQ. Nintendo of America has limited authority with what they can and cannot authorize in our region here, same with NoE in Europe. But that's not the point of what I was saying. I was talking about the fact that Nintendo (of America) continually has lesser offerings than the company as a whole gives to other regions. But thanks for telling me how I think. I didn't realize mind-readers existed.
"In other words Nintendo continues to ra ra ra". Like this sale is somehow a personal attack on US Nintendo users. It's two different departments acting autonomously. Maybe the fact that they make more money in the US is why they don't have sales there... Sales aren't rewards, they're tools to generate revenue. They're moving units in the US so they don't need discounts, not so much in PAL territories. That kind of regional difference is why they have different regional departments in the first place.
