@ACK Nintendo fans are perfectly capable of rational discussion and realising this isn't ok. Nintendo fanboys (aka Nintendrones) aren't. The design of the Switch is unacceptable if these are all the options. They cut corners to achieve what they did and will have to deal with it. As will Nintendo gamers who buy these products. With increased physical costs, extra memory costs to get the FULL GAME THAT THEY ALREADY PAID FULL PRICE FOR, and games that have no physical version yet are sold at retail and will not fit on the Switch without an SD card (Resident Evil Revelations 2)
@TeslaChippie It means their entire design shoulda changed if this was the outcome. Funny you mention apple though, since iphones have been officially exposed to be around €600 in profit per device sold when apple got forced to reveal it a few years back.
@cobalto As a retro gamer and retro PC builder, my original doom floppies still work from when I first got them when they were brand new, have several copies. None repaired or modified or anything.
People will buy the cheaper, better looking, better performing games on other platforms. Switch versions will under perform. Probably eventually lead to 3rd party support pulled. No one's fault but Nintendo.
@Wexter Nah I'll get it on a better platform for the game. Nintendo platforms have been the worst choice for the majority of multiplats for 20 years now.
@Wexter And for the 98% that just leave it home the entire time, where is our discounted "non-portable version"? It's a home console, as per Nintendo. They'll be held accountable to that.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I did get stuffed with customs on my Hori RAPV for Switch though, also from Play Asia. But that was because it had to use FedEx shipping. At the end of it, even with customs and shipping, it came out at the same price as if I'd bought from amazon.co.uk with courier shipping, so I didn't really lose anything.
"Jordan Amaro: I’m not allowed to speak on it, because I’m not the game director. What I can say, and what I think can be said, is that there are lots of reasons. You have to trust us that if you could play Salmon Run online anytime, that would result in a worse experience for you and everybody."
This is some of the most profound damage control ever made. It's on par with Reggie. Which makes sense, this is all Nintendo after all.
Anyone defending this should be ashamed of themselves. Your opinion is literally ZERO.
Terrible design practices rear their head once again. It's a common theme with the Switch. From games, to apps, to missing features, to terrible feature implementation to straight up terrible hardware choices. 32gb in 2017 lol
@GrailUK An order of a few million Switch game cards now and again will never be as cheap as the constant millions upon millions of blurays mass produced DAILIY.
@Yorumi So true. @MegaTen said exactly what I was about to say. Defend bad practices over and over and over, accept the bare minimum and say "please sir, can I have some more bad practices and game drought?" and they keep handing you that. It sank the WiiU. Demand better or get taken advantage of.
@Folkloner No, you have to deal with the realisation that Nintendo's ancient hardware choices and design choices are the problem as the rest of the world moves quickly forward.
The full fat version is only on PC next year. The console versions are nowhere near the full fat version. Switch version will be the pocket version if it ever happens.
@electrolite77 And that is why I own no game on console if it is available on PC. Consoles are for console only games. But it seems everyone missed my initial point.
The Xbox One and PS4 are underpowered, they were in 2013 and they are even more so in 2017, but not only do Nintendo have a track record of releasing less powerful hardware, they also designed a console 4 years later that has even less powerful hardware than the competition because of their design choice to be a home console with portable mode.
@Angelic_Lapras_King I never measured my cable length for it, but I'd imagine it's literally the same controller/cable that they just sent another order for without changing anything.
@OorWullie And yet they still get a far superior version of the game. Increased resolution and double the frame rate. That latter point being key for a game based on "gotta go fast"
Meanwhile the newly announced PC version will be glorious, even if the game is mediocre. 170gb, legit 4k assets for EVERYTHING, power of the PC to give it a playable framerate for once, nvidia gameworks.

Re: Square Enix Still Investigating The Possibility Of A Full Final Fantasy XV Experience On Switch
@NEStalgia You're doing yourself a disservice by not playing Persona 5. It's one of the best games of all time.
Re: SEGA Knows Fans Want Sonic Adventure 3
SEGA keep saying "we know fans want X!" about everything. Look at every comment on Shenmue HD among others. Words are starting to ring hollow.
Re: Layers of Fear: Legacy Will Bring Horror to the Switch Soon
"Critically claimed"
These people get paid for their words. One of the many daily reminders that games "journalism" is laughable.
Re: Video: How to Make Your Own Awesome Nintendo Switch Arcade Cabinet
Nope, I have a legit jamma arcade machine. Switch is Switch on a big tv. Arcade machine is for jamma ROM boards. Nothing else.

Re: Here's How Much Data You'll Need To Download For NBA 2K18 On Switch
Modern gaming is hitting the Nintendrones hard today. This is funny. Glad to see some fanboys wake up and see that 32gb wasn't ok now.
It also means they're using an 8gb game card to not have a "switch tax" situation. Nintendo created this problem people.
Deal with it

Re: Mario Bros. to Kick Off 'Arcade Archives' Range on Nintendo Switch
@Baker1000 I pay hundreds of euro for individual arcade boards. I beg to differ they're only fun for a short time or multiplayer.

Can't be remastered properly, no analog shoulder buttons because Nintendo logic.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE I imported a Switch game from Play Asia. €8 shipping, no customs fees.

@Joelols 26gb. So it won't fit on a Switch without a microSD card. Get used to this.

SEGA own Atlus.
Use common sense.
