@Yoshi Try out the remaster of VC on PS4 or PC. Don't bother waiting for possible Switch port of the 1st game. Excellent game. Can't wait for VC4 on PC.
As long as they improve their presentations. You don't show up to E3 with a 25 minute presentation on smash and nothing else important for the other 20 minutes. Nintendo were afraid to have conferences during the wiiu era where they were a joke with nothing to show. Now they at least have sales numbers a a fraction more to show, so maybe they can return if they do it right.
@Silly_G It's something called choice. Increasing the price of a game and getting nothing extra for it over the same product at the original price is also not consumer friendly.
All because you want Nintendo's bad physical media policy to not effect you.
The sheer notion of basically berating consumers for not wanting to pay more is the top tier of pro-corporation, anti-consumer practices.
Sounds like you picture the wrong platform to support.
Or the perfect one for your pro-corporate defense.
@Silly_G " but the general public's reluctance to pay an extra $10 for something substantially better is baffling.
It is absolutely ridiculous to me that the market is unwilling to pay an extra $10 for a AAA release while forking over $50-$100 for limited editions that contain a bunch of stupid trinkets."
In terms of frame rate, the game aims to hit 30 FPS. However, we can see that there are some dips and fluctuations – some more noticeable than others.
Fortnite uses a dynamic resolution when docked and in portable modes. When docked, the lowest native resolution found is approximately 1093×615 while the highest was 1600×900. Additionally, temporal upsampling is used to increase the pixel count up to 1600×900 when the native resolution is below this figure.
The lowest resolution in portable mode was found to be roughly 768×432. As for the highest, VG Tech found 1280×720 (Switch’s natural portable resolution). Temporal upsampling is again used here to increase the pixel count up to 720p when the native resolution drops below this.
@Paddle1 The Switch version is clearly the mobile version though now that people have it in their hands. It even has the lower quality, different mobile version sound effects and clearly has the "no detail" textures of the phone version.
@lifepsychedelic Ah ok. I know it was only listed for Vive on the product page and I wasn't gonna spend €60 to try it on my Rift since it wasn't officially supported.
@Heavyarms55 You literally just proved my point. You said "they're different" and yet the cost of that is lower quality performance, features, visuals, support, everything.
@Mr_Pepperami I guess that's an opinion. After all, I wouldn't count Dark Souls as a "Nintendo Switch hack and slash" when it comes out later this year.
@Heavyarms55 I'd blame Nintendo to be honest. Every platform I listed has been hamstrung by Nintendo's design choices that impede developers. Everyone always shouts "Nintendo is different and trying to innovate" which means nothing at the end of the day if the cost of "innovation" is no games, no support or lackluster support.
@roadrunner343 I guess it's just the way I have my PC set up where anyone can easily get into my Rift in a few seconds, as well as playing online if need be. I love playing it in VR, with either people in the room or online.
@tourjeff Irrelevant. Companies care about total worldwide sales and nothing else. Only the NDF cares when it hurts their egos (which is a lot the last decade).
@Jack_Goetz Yeah it's a joke honestly. These people are literally paid for their words and they can't even get that right. It's one of the few jobs where you don't need to be able to do it properly to keep your job. Just another reason everyone laughs at games journalists really.
@gaga64 Just showed it to my brother who is an English language and literature professor and when he found out a paid "journalist" typed it, his instant reaction was "that person shouldn't have a job".

Re: Hands On: Waging War With Valkyria Chronicles 4
@kobashi100 I'm sorry to hear that, on both fronts.
Re: Hands On: Waging War With Valkyria Chronicles 4
@Kimyonaakuma Thought it was Japanese only. Still, get the PS4 or PC version over the Switch one for maximum enjoyment.

Dropped frames, instant write off of this version.

@GrailUK Except they're not.
Re: Release Window Between Consoles And Switch "Shrinking All The Time" Says Panic Button Boss
It's not equal and never will be.
And no, it isn't because it's ahead.
Re: "The Virtual Console successor is Nintendo Switch Online" Says Reggie
Will never subscribe to this sham of a service.

Silly G is back with his pro-corporation, anti-consumer rhetoric again I see.
Re: Super Smash Bros. Fan Sends Threatening Email To Nintendo New York Store After Removal Of Game Kiosks
Doesn't surprise me. Nintendo fanboys are the most deranged of them all.
Re: One Guy Got Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Up And Running On Switch
Other than noticeable visual downgrades you mean
Re: NieR: Automata Director Yoko Taro Really Wants To See The Game On Nintendo Switch
@bogofet Game runs flawlessly on my PC. Then again I don't try run everything with a 750TI and call it a mess when it runs like dirt.
My point being it'd be terrible on Switch.
Re: NieR: Automata Director Yoko Taro Really Wants To See The Game On Nintendo Switch
This game would be an absolute mess on the Switch. Don't tarnish the game's name with a port to a platform that can't do it justice.

Your fake marketing might fool Nintendo fanboys, but not me Panic Button.

Not happening reggie.
Re: Video: Analysing Fortnite's Frame Rate And Resolution On Switch
@TommyTLG every action based game that requires real time button mechanics should be, but the switch is woefully underpowered so it wasn't an option

Re: Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido Has Shockingly Poor Launch In Japan
No one wants to pay full price for what is basically a f2p mobile game
Re: Video: Here's How Fortnite On Switch Compares To The PS4 Version
@TrumpsHand There is literal, visual proof of it looking different and therefore not identical.
Re: Sony Blocks PS4 Fortnite Players From Using Their Account On Nintendo Switch
@gortsi Yes they will have it, as per the announcement of it.
Re: Sony Blocks PS4 Fortnite Players From Using Their Account On Nintendo Switch
@Caryslan Well Sony and PC have this thing called Final Fantasy 7 Remake, I hear Cloud might be in that and it might be a big deal.
Re: Nintendo Confirms Metroid Prime 4 Will Skip E3 2018
It's not hard to decide to skip something when you likely have nothing to show for said product.

Re: Bethesda's Fallout Shelter Arrives On The Nintendo Switch Today
@Ubik You have a very interesting way of "confirming" a game.
@Whalehome PSVR isn't getting Fallout 4 VR, only PC has it with HTC Vive.
@JaxonH It was never xbox exclusive. It was on mobile and PC for ages before Xbox got it.
@Romeo-75 It's "coming to ps4 and switch" because it's been out on mobile, PC and Xbox for years already.
@BanjoPickles PSVR does not have Fallout 4. Only PC with HTC Vive does.
@WhiteTrashGuy It's running on Avalanche's Apex engine (the just cause engine)
Re: Bethesda Brings The Elder Scrolls: Legends To Switch
@retro_player_22 Never happening

Not even getting Unravel or SOS, lmfao.
So irrelevant.
Can't wait for Dom's soapbox over this one

@Mr_Pepperami It's usually down to Dom's horrible reporting on pretty much everything. Look at how many people savage him in almost all his articles.
Re: Another World Targets 25th June Release On Nintendo Switch
Oh look Dom being Dom again. Not a SNES game, was ported to SNES later. This is silly at this point.
Re: All-Star Fruit Racing Has No Online Multiplayer On Switch And It's Unreal Engine 4's Fault
@SmaggTheSmug Everyone is B-class compared to the PCMR
Re: All-Star Fruit Racing Has No Online Multiplayer On Switch And It's Unreal Engine 4's Fault
Such Switch.
Much port begging.
Wow
And yes, Nintendo players are B-series players. It's been a fact for 20 years now.
N64 proved it.
Gamecube proved it.
Wii proved it.
WiiU proved it.
Switch is still proving it.
Re: Soapbox: Fortnite Is Coming So Nintendo Really Needs To Sort Out Its Voice Chat Problem
@TheGreenYoutuber The port would be absolute trash, I agree.

Annnnnnnnnnd skipped to comment section to write this and laugh at Dom and leave.

VR version is great, can't imagine playing it in non-VR though. Haven't even booted it up normally on PC for that matter

NDF: Monster Hunter World ONLY sold 1 million in japan in it's first week on PS4, what a failure.
Also NDF: Congrats to a 1st party Nintendo IP selling the same amount in 14 months, what a success!

They're probably USB and have digital shoulder buttons, so not gamecube controllers.

@Kneppy18 Doesn't work that way.
Re: Rumour: Hastily Updated Amazon Listing Suggests Fallout 76 Will Arrive On 31st July
@Kneppy18 4 is not possible
@tourjeff 4 is not viable on Switch
