@chardir One thing I've noticed is that only Nintendo fans are obsessed with twisting the numbers to look good out of reality.
Back when Smash released on the WiiU and sales of the console went up by 400% over the previous week. But you look at the previous week and it was 1250 units.....up to 5000..... "whoa". But all we had was "400% THOUGH!!!!!"
Same with their weird obsession with Japanese sales. Monster Hunter world "didn't sell well in Japan" and they ignore that it sold so much elsewhere that it became Capcom's best selling game of all time in 2 months. "But it didn't sell well in Japan!".
And God Of War. 3 million units in 3 days and 5 million in a month. "OUTSOLD BY LABO IN JAPAN ON WEEK ONE!!!"
Pretty sure companies care about money more than anything, but "muh numbers!!"
Well given that it (supposedly) isn't a single player RPG, Switch might actually have a chance at getting it, unlike Fallout 4. Dom seems to have no idea how game engines work if his logic is "a company brings certain games to the platform, so why not all games".
It's supposedly a very different game, management style almost with online multiplayer elements. So you might have a chance, unlike Fallout 4.
@KoopaTheGamer I would. Like most things in life now a days, when people/places/things fall below the standard, it's those that are in the wrong. The standard remains the same, the others are below it.
@ieatdragonz It's like those people in the WiiU days "Smash Bros release shoots up WiiU sales 400% on last week!" And you look and see it sold 1200 units the week before. "But muh 400% though!"
@Alikan They posted a record profit of nearly $8 billion this year, with $4 billion of that coming from microtransactions and the rest from physical game sales. If you think they aren't making serious profit from game sales, I have some magic beans you might be interested in....
@MajorTom "Only the always online games. No servers to play on, no game. There are still only 2 games that don't contain the full base game on the discs."
@Grumblevolcano Only the always online games. No servers to play on, no game. There are still only 2 games that don't contain the full base game on the discs.
@gortsi No, not like those at all. There are only 2 games that don't contain the entire base game on those consoles.
Meaning 20 years from now when the PS4 and Xbox One servers are turned off you can still put those games in and play the entire base game. Unlike the Switch games I mentioned.
@Rayquaza2510 I still disagree that it's the same issue of "not enough internal storage". All the internal storage in the world isn't going to help you if you only have half the game on the Game Card and have no way to get the rest. If all of the game was on the Game Card, you could get away with 1gb storage only for save files.
Nintendo created the problem with publishers and the inability to create a media system fitting of the games in the era they are releasing in, imo.
@Hyrule It's only the nature of modern Nintendo gaming. All other manufacturers/publishers include all their base game content (with 2 exceptions out of thousands) on the media, and the hardware makers are aware of the limitations of technology/their choices so they include the hardware to mitigate that.
@Rayquaza2510 Your point makes no sense. All of the base game is contained on physical media of the PS4/Xbox One (with 2 specific games being the exception of the thousands released). DLC and bug fix patches aren't the same thing. With games like Wolf 2 on Switch, half of the game has to be downloaded from the internet since it is not present on the physical media.
@wiggleronacid You've got it backwards. First World then this. This releases right at the end of August, MHW on PC will be in August so it has a 27 in 31 chance of launching before this.

@gortsi Classic NDF behaviour. Can't handle being wrong when hit with facts so resorts to irrational insults.

@gortsi They all failed on a technical level, don't be mad you proved my point.

Re: The Mega Man Legacy Collections On Switch Debut At Number Nine In Japan
@Indielink He's a nintendo fanboy that wants every other company and game that isn't on Switch (re: a lot of them) to fail.

@gortsi At 94 WPM, it's a miniscule fraction of my day.

I'm sure Capcom are well aware everyone purchased it elsewhere years ago and have adjusted their projections accordingly.
Re: Rumour: Leaked E3 Document Suggests Fortnite, Dragon Ball FighterZ And More Are Switch-Bound
@sword_9mm One would think Nintendo would have a conference again since they're not the laughing stock of the industry anymore

@KoopaTheGamer It is the standard, most developers and hardware are just inadequate
Re: Nintendo Continues To Dominate Japan's Charts As 7 Of The Top 10 Games Are On Switch
@westman98 You missed my point. It had nothing to do with "selling as bad as the wiiu" since it isn't.

Re: Video: Some Mario Games Just Can't Properly Be Played Anymore
@JayJ And yet, the Switch versions of the games I mentioned will fade out of existence once the temporary online service goes away.
I love how you proved my point.
Nice try though

@MajorTom If you can't see the difference, then I can't help you.

@MajorTom Covered in a previous comment.
Re: Video: Some Mario Games Just Can't Properly Be Played Anymore
@MajorTom "Download only" which completely ignores what I said about this being a physical media issue I'm talking about.
@Grumblevolcano Nah, can easily play most if not all of them without being able to log in for the extras.

20 years from now this will be the same with Switch games that aren't all on the Game Card.
Maybe this article will serve as a wake up for people.

@Jokerwolf Except it still can't run on it.

MHW is the 5th game in the main series, or are you telling the devs they're wrong?
Re: Video: Discussing What Took Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate So Long to Come to the West
@Jokerwolf No it isn't, and MHW is the 5th mainline MH game.

Re: EA Just Had A Record-Breaking Year Despite A Decline In Physical Sales
@gortsi Release many games over the course of the year, only 1.5 of which came to Switch.
A watered down inferior port of their most popular game which sold poorly on Switch and an indie game.
Meanwhile on all 3 other platforms, they had a new record year with all their products that Nintendo doesn't have.
