Re: Buddy Pokémon Confirmed by Niantic for Pokémon GO

Mayoo

I love the idea simply because it is quite useful when not abused. But sadly I equally hate the idea because I know there will be abuse. Hear me out.

Instead of finding more of the same pokemon to get candy, people will have the choice to just find one and the run circles around their block until they get enough to evolve it. Then they just need to catch a ton of Rattata to grind dust and power up them.

Now if they do trading and enable pokemon trading, we'll have another D3 AH. Where you'll not want to find "more and more" but just "that one piece that will help get the one I really wanted"

Re: French Mayor Says "Non" To Pokémon GO

I don't get people who say that "you need permission". At best, it brings more business to local places, more money, more taxes. At worse, it brings more people on the streets which only walk.

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd June (Europe)

@Neko_Ichigofan I agree with you, and yet I still won't buy any. At least not for now. I loved all games I bought but I just don't feel they are worth their price at this time. That's me though. Personal preferences

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd June (Europe)

I'm not buying anything else. It would be just a waste of money since NX is kinda announced and rumors are going out of a new handheld.

If only digital purchase would carry over.

Re: Reaction: The NX Release in March 2017 and How It Changes the Game

Mayoo

So here is the deal. When they launched Twilight Princess, I skipped it since I didn't want a Wii U right now but didn't want the GC version. That being said, I don't think the game itself suffered from it (having played it since then).

I am very anxious to see the NX, but not showing it at E3 is the most stupid decision ever. This means the NX will NEVER be at E3 before being launched. Even if the console is good, they will loose a lot of customers.

Also, personally, I will wait for the NX. I love my Wii U games but always said the console is really smelly. Long loading times (even for settings menu), lack of CURRENT tech/software (damn it Nintendo, I don't want to manually change the timezone on my console, I have 20$ clocks that can handle that).

TLDR, and conslusion: I hope the NX is as good as we hope. But not showing at E3 is a bad decision. Will Zelda suffer from it? I think not. But I expect a lot of people to do like me and skip anything on the Wii U until March 2017.

Short short version: Nintendo, get your head out of your arshes and wake up. NX was looking to a great start, but I feel more and more that it will fail due to a lack of brains in your ranks.

Re: Feature: What We Expect from Nintendo Direct - 3rd March

Mayoo

As much as I want NX news, I understand they won't have any. I have high expectations for the NX. I think Nintendo is placing themselves well for their next gen, and it begins by the revamped MyNintendo.

I honestly say I went from "FU I just got my Wii U" to "Hype is real, I want an NX". Of course this is based on speculations for now.

Re: Talking Point: The New Nintendo 3DS is Yet to Have a Real Chance to Revive the Portable Family

Mayoo

@shad0w-7 I do feel both are upgrades to their counterpart. But if you are not into gaming a lot, you can't know that. If they want to sell something they've got to advertise it and make the name clear that it's an upgrade.

Also, for the Wii U, it is an upgrade but we still don't have achievements (which is a must for today's industry) and we have an OS that makes us wait 40 seconds to get to the settings menu and that doesn't manage automatic daylight saving switch. Ok yeah it's minor, but can we have something that is not looking like it's been crafted straight outta 1997.

Nintendo can thank their franchises because it's the only thing keeping them alive. For anything else, I get the PC version over anything.

Re: Talking Point: The New Nintendo 3DS is Yet to Have a Real Chance to Revive the Portable Family

Mayoo

Well let's call it like it is. Nintendo sucks at promoting their products. For the rare time they do, it attracts the wrong people to the wrong games.

I haven't seen any advertising for the new 3DS (Canada here). I got one only because of a few games. I am happy with it, but wouldn't have bought it if my previous handheld wouldn't have been stolen. Same goes for my Wii U (stolen Wii).

Also, stupid decisions such as having to remove a screw to get to the sd card.
