Can we just acknowledge that the music is terrible?

Game looks great. Two thoughts:
1. I think they gave away too much showing the transformations, I really hope there’s a surprise one they haven’t revealed.

2. Sculpt mode is going to result in a lot of…naughty bananas.

I don’t get it - after a while in the game you amass a lot of useless resources that could easily be used for weapon repair and it would make complete sense within the game ecosystem. At least unfusing should restore the base weapon durability, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

We won’t hear about it until after Christmas otherwise it would affect sales

Legend of Woke more like! Fine if that’s your cup of tea, but why do they have to keep ramming this agenda down our throats? I mean, what’s next - pocket monsters? Mushroom cart racing? Paying my mortgage to a raccoon?!?! What kind of perversion will Nintendo expose us to next???

@-wc- exactly what I’m getting at. There’s lots of marketing, including this article (which is let’s face it born out of a press release), not so many reviews. People in the comments are being naive about the motivations of the publisher (perhaps conflating them with the devs, who won’t be involved in marketing decisions).

I’ve also got in mind that the switchup YouTube channel had an advertorial (not a review) up on the day of release. It’s just all a bit tacky and dishonest.

@SalvorHardin yes they did - and do you think that was an accident? Do you think the prominent ads on this site and the ost release are not marketing?

A lot of marketing for a game that hasn’t been widely reviewed smells fishy.

The only reason we have discourse around “more linear” “more dungeons” Zelda is because we live in an age of clickbait content the creators of which need to take a contrary stance to get views and attention.

The vast majority of players simply enjoy each Zelda for what it offers. The minority are just terminally online opinion havers who are more invested in the having of the opinion than the meaning of the opinion. Aonuma does well to ignore them.

My hope: the movie focuses on a specific part of Zelda lore and results in a distinctive piece that stands on its own merits, adding new mystery and depth to the Zelda universe.

My fear: they try to hit too many notes from the games, over-explaining the plot and stuffing it with too many ‘fan service’ references resulting in a bloated and flat experience that has nothing interesting to say.

The latter is more likely, isn’t it?

It was so devoted to filler that they actually had a recap of everything they had shown in the direct half way through. Also with Wonder coming out, can Nintendo maybe go easy on the Mario ip spin offs for a bit? And why aren’t they milking Animal Crossing more given it’s huge install base?

Top marks for the sub-heading

The style of Wind Walker cemented my view of Nintendo as a visionary company. I saw it and thought, a company that will commit one of its flagship franchises to such a stylised look is serious about creating imaginative, joyous escapism - something I want much more than realism in a video game!

I’m just fed up of these tokenistic ‘cat’ games, pushing a pet agenda.

I for one am tired of the pro-pokemon agenda on this website. I’m sick and tired of having Pokemon content shoved down my throat. I can’t choose to ignore them because they bother me so much. Why do Pokemon need so much representation anyway? Why isn’t there any anti Pokemon content? Or doesn’t that generate enough clicks? Can I speak to the manager?

I’d like to see Wind Walker done in the same style as the new Links Awakening on Switch
